History from 1936(1-2 paragraphs) Following the disastrous Black Monday market crash, the United Baltic Duchy's German democratic parties squabbled amongst themselves, lobbying for power while the nation itself fell to poverty and lawlessness. Just a few months after the stock market imploded, forest banditry ran rampant within the Duchy's ingovernable Latvian and Estonian territories, staining the state's reputation as a bulwark of stability and German strength in Eastern Europe. This maddening ineffectiveness of the country's democratic institutions culminated in the government's failure to realize a coalition with the conservative forces, essentially damning their minority government to die a slow death.

This slow death at the hands of forest bandits was luckily postponed, when the Baltic Landwehr, aided by paramilitaries of the Baltic Brotherhood and the newly-arrived German Freikorps, exercised a most righteous coup d'état, installing the Baltic Brotherhood as the new ruling order and outlawing other opposition parties for the sake of national stability. Generalfeldmarschall von der Goltz, Chief of the General Staff of the Baltische Landeswehr, took control as the new head of state, while aristocrat and Baltic Brotherhood leader Otto von Kursell took the reigns as the head of government, pulling the real strings whilst pretending that all power lied with the German-born field marshal, who was steadily becoming more and more senile and thus incapable of recognizing that he became less and less relevant in national affairs.

Currently, the reactionary state led by the Baltic Brotherhood has achieved a number of political triumphs, including:

So you don't have to stick with Kaiserreich canon, mostly just with realism.

The head of state and government of Turkestan is the President. The President is elected for a (twice renewable) term of six years through a two-rounds electoral system; if no candidate wins an outright majority of the popular vote, a second round is held two weeks later between the two candidates who received the most votes. History from 1936: Having been unaffected by Black Monday, Russia firmly abandoned democratic values and became authoritarian. It holds a deep hatred towards Germany and sought out to reclaim its pride. In 1939, Russia violently surprised Germany, who didn't expect the move when France declared war. At first, German forces slowly retreated from Russian lands, although a small victory was claimed over Lithuania. Eventually, Russia was pushed back by both Germany and the Free Russian Army, which resulted in both Boris Savinkov and the NRPR surrendering unconditionally on October 25th. They were chased out of office and Germany elected Vasily Boldyrev as the new President of Russia, thus creating a new Russian Republic.

A few days into his rule, Boldyrev has promised his people a better, democratic Russia, although that was received apathetically. Not only that, but Russia has lost 20 million citizens to combat, bombing, starvation and disease during the "Zweiter Weltkrieg", while it has been left in tatters. As a result, Russians began giving up the hope of a better Russia. General elections are now coming closer to Russia, with many candidates seeking to claim the title of President. They all have their own beliefs and promises, but they all believe they can do what's best for all of Russia.

They all have their own beliefs and promises, but they all believe they can do what's best for all of Russia.

It holds a deep hatred towards Germany and sought out to reclaim its pride. In 1939, Russia violently surprised Germany, who didn't expect the move when France declared war. At first, German forces slowly retreated from Russian lands, although a small victory was claimed over Lithuania. Eventually, Russia was pushed back by both Germany and the Free Russian Army, which resulted in both Boris Savinkov and the NRPR surrendering unconditionally on October 25th.
