Ralnis, if you are reading this, I'll give you Sunday to finish your application. When that time comes without completion, I may have to remove you from the roster to avoid clogging it up. So please consider finishing your application before then unless you decide not to participate at all. Otherwise, your reservation is still in motion.

You would just crop the rectangular image with the profile picture system. That's kinda it.

Is that a part of Discord that I haven't noticed yet, or a part of Paint ditto?

Also, please, on the Discord how do I get a 'LORE CHANNEL' for my nation like the ones that a lot of the other nations already possess? Is that something I should be able to set up for myself, if I knew more about how Discord works, or is it an "Ask the ISOT-game's admins" situation?

The admins (we) will do it for you. However, you still have to ask them (us) for one.

I hereby make that request (or should I do so somewhere on Discord?).

Full Nation Name : The Sacred Empire of Anhanguera
Short Nation Name : Anhanguera (Portuguese: [aɲɐngwɛ'ra])
Flag / National Symbols:
Image

Government Type : Feudal Empire under Absolute Monarchy
Official Political Ideology : What? Though the Empire has nothing like a modern conception of ideology, it follows what we would consider traditional conservatism.
Head of State : Basileus Sebastião III
Head of Government : Basileus Sebastião III
Government Description : Despite being an absolute monarch, the Basileu does not hold unlimited power. Aside from moral and societal expectations that he be benevolent and serve as “the first servant of the State”, more practical concerns force him to delegate the governance of most territories to nobles and aristocrats, as well as privileges such as access to elaborate shipyards or manufactories. Although they are bound by oath, these lords act to keep the Basileus’ power in check, and vice-versa. Furthermore, the Church and the guilds often abandon their internal arguments and strife to intervene in politics, serving as mediators and a voice for the people. Finally, nothing stops a peasant revolt or a commoner with a rifle from decapitating some unpleasant ruler. After all, the Empire’s rule is not based on any right but that of might.

Territory : Territory in green under de facto control, territory in light green in de jure control (bandits, wildernesses, sea of corruption)

Territorial Ambitions : South America
Capital City : Although the Empire has no official capital, the fortress of Orlamar has served as a political capital for the last two kings. It is a large, ancient citadel inhabited by 300 000 people, situated near the ruins of modern day São Luís.
Population : 98 million souls

Majority/Official Culture : Iberian

Majority/State Religion : Christianity & various sects

Major Industries / Economic sectors: (By order of size) Agriculture, textiles, arms manufacturing, archaetechnology, other heavy industries (metallurgy, tool production‚ etc).
Amount of Industrialization : Anhanguera’s level of industrialisation varies wildly. While the countryside generally remains agrarian, the oldest cities are host to factories of immense complication and power which remain from the ancient past, as well as a nascent new industry.
Economic Description : Anhanguera has a generally autarkic and decentralized economy, which is two thirds agrarian. With the recess of the Sea of Corruption and the availability of more land, the rural world has been witnessing a boom. In cities and manufacturing villages, the economy is ruled by a number of guilds, which protect workers, pass on their trade secrets, and generally hold monopolies on workshops and tooling. There is a third aspect to the Empire’s economy, which is that of archaeotechnology. This consists in the unearthing of ruined factories and cities to retrieve, refurbish, and rebuild old machinery, as well as understand it. Archaeotechnology is closely controlled by both Church and State, who fear and envy the relics of the Old World.

Technological Level : Early 20th/Late 19th century with feudal aesthetics and a few PMT aspects (materials, engines, archeotech)
Magic and other shenanigans? : Some dieselpunk elements, notably extremely heavy airships and unfeasibly large planes working on PMT tech for propulsion and construction.

The Sea of Corruption is a large fungal, toxic jungle occupying the Amazon basin. Though their origins are unclear, such jungles have swept through numerous kingdoms through all the corners of the world, having its spores carried over by stampedes and migrations of giant insects with which the forest holds some symbiotic relationship. The Sea has been receding in recent years, being burnt away or simply retreating and leaving behind strange, yet limpid forests. Nevertheless, wherever it is present its miasma and insect stampedes are still dangerous, and it is not uncommon to hear of some expedition or trailblazer who never returns.

Military Description

The Military is a crucial part of Anhanguera’s society, as it is structured like that of a settled army, and military rank is often seen as more important than wealth. Lords act as officers to the Basileu and hold the right to summon their subjects to act as soldiers, and from this duty their subjects hold the right to arms. The military itself has no formal distinction between its branches, as nobles often amass aerial, terrestrial and naval assets under the same flags. Nevertheless, standardization and weapons deposits are imposed by the Basileus as a means of facilitating widespread mobilization. It is estimated that there are currently two million men at arms, with half of these being local forces such as militias.

Army: The ground forces are doubtlessly the largest element. Their poster boys are the Emperor’s own army, composed of well-trained and equipped mechanized infantrymen, employing ceramic plate armour, along with heavy automatic weapons, tanks and assault guns comparable in performance to those of the Old World. They are reinforced by the high nobles’ own armies, which typically follow this equipment and organisation model. These standing armies are backed up by local militias, who generally employ less mobile equipment and are used to occupy territories, man fortifications, provide logistical support, and fulfil other rear-line roles.

Navy: The Anhangueran Navy mostly relies on a fleet of antiquated battleships and a few escort carriers to escort the merchant navy. Otherwise, it is the smallest of the branches, as its previous roles were delegated to the Air Force.

Air Force: The Air Force is the most technologically advanced section of the Anhangueran army, consisting of seven fleets dispersed among the high nobles. These fleets generally consist of three aerial battleships, a handful of aerial destroyers, as well as lighter gunships and transports to provide support and ferry over supplies or ground troops. As the arsenals who maintain and (rarely) build these ships are few in number, the lower mobility must content itself with fielding a number of aerial corvettes or gunships, though these can be quite powerful depending on their age.

National Goals : To reclaim old Anhangueran territories, and expand deeper into the Americas.

History : Mankind has languished in the thousand years since the Seven Days of Fire which wiped out industrial civilization. Among deserted expanses and irradiated craters, living in the ruins of burnt out cities or in rural pockets, Man set about surviving among the bones of his greatest creations. This task was not made easy, as much had been forgotten, and many men grew dull in wit and body in the decades preceding this cataclysm. At first his man adversaries were only hunger of poverty, but as kingdoms formed from the remnants of the Old World’s armies, war seeped back into life. Finally, the Sea of Corruption. Whether by some genetic experiment run amuck, the product of radiation-induced mutations, or simple Holy judgement, this fungal expanse sprouted in Europe, and advanced upon all continents, poisoning the air and swallowing up entire nations.

But man has been hastily rescuing his might, digging ever deeper into the soil and his past to resurrect the memory of his dominion over the Earth. Many kingdoms and empires, armed with ancient weapons and possessed by an ardent will to power, have risen up and claimed dominion over vast swathes of land. Among these is the Empire of Anhanguera, heir to a forgotten South American power, which seeks to rediscover its past to claim its future.

Would the European section of this be appearing [IC] before our Carthage-bound ships get that far? If so, then I'll have to retcon that into my earlier post about the orders given to those ships...

Full Nation Name : Thalduhm Empire
Short Nation Name : Thalduhm Empire
Flag / National Symbols:
Image
Government Type : Military colonial government
Official Political Ideology : Militant Nationalism
Head of State : Militant Governor Tsaregorodtsev Yelisey Yanovich
Head of Government : Militant Governor Tsaregorodtsev Yelisey Yanovich
Government Description : The Empire as a whole is considered to be an statocratic monarchy with some democratic functions like a parliament. However, the word of the Emperor is often the final say. When it comes down to planetary and colonial governments, these tend to vary but follow the same basic guidelines of having a military-led government and a parliament/council to support or counter the leader.

Militant Governor
However, while the Empire is led by a monarchy, the colonial government that has been transported here is led by a Militant Governor who is the highest-ranking military official within the colony. Typically, this position is appointed by the Iron Emperor and is legitimized through the military, traditional practices, and the word of the Iron Emperor. The Militant governor is required to sit in all important Colonial Council meetings and decide what provinces need or don't need expansions or development. The governor also has a small council of around six individuals, two are the commanders of the Army/Navy garrisons, Commander of the Home Guard, a finance minister, head of the colony’s ISM (Imperial Security Ministry) detachment, head of Urban Development and finally head of Public Health.

Colonial Council
A small group of elected officials that represent the colony’s people, serve as a counter to the Militant Governor and provide the people some level of representation within the colony’s government. This branch is often made up of around 20 individuals with two representatives from each providence.

Colonial Judiciary
In short, it is the same as the Imperial Judiciary, where you have no jury instead you are given a trial by three judges who debate the case and decide the punishment. There are around three levels of judiciary: Providence, Regional, and finally Colonial. Currently, there are ten Providence courts, five Regional courts, and finally, one Colonial court.

Territory : Scotland and the island of Newfoundland
Territorial Ambitions : What remains of the British Isles, eventually Ireland, and parts of Canada
Capital City : New Gneisenau (Located right around Glasgow)
Population : 12 million

Majority/Official Culture : Thalduhmian

Majority/State Religion : Teachings of the Great Wolf Mother

Major Industries / Economic sectors: Heavy industry, shipbuilding and breaking, farming, mining, and forestry
Amount of Industrialization : Considering the culture of the Empire, the region is significantly industrialized.
Economic Description : A large part of the Imperial economy is dedicated to heavy industry to fuel its expansion across the stars, the New Gneisenau colony is no exception with the fortress-like cities being filled with metal forges, refining plants, shipyards, and other factories. While the villages and towns around them provide most of the raw materials and food for the city and the colony as a whole.

When interacting with other nations, the Empire has a mercantile style of economic system, often wanting to import less than it exports. However, this is often looped in with protectionism as the citizens of the Empire will prefer Thalduhmian owned and operated business over their foreign competitors. As it provides jobs, mostly manufacturing jobs, within the Empire.

Technological Level : Dieselpunk but in space
Magic and other shenanigans? (If any exists) : Typically the ships of the Empire have kinetic shielding and FTL drives, however for the RP they will be unable to function. Also, it should be noted that the ships of the Empire look and function sorta like WWII ships, thus they can sail around on the sea. The planes of the Empire also have kinetic shielding, thus they will not work as well.

Military Description

Army:
The Imperial Army, more commonly called the Army, is perhaps the largest branch of the Imperial Military to date largely because of the importance that the Empire places on ground combat. The doctrine of the Imperial Army is divided into two major sections, rapid-moving combat, and attrition-based warfare. Both of these ideas are often combined, however, the Imperial Army is more accustomed to the long and grueling attrition-based warfare thanks to its decades of military experience. The soldiers of the Empire are known to be tenacious and zealous, often fighting against all odds and often to the death.

When it comes to ground weapons, the Empire mostly still relies on conventional projectile weapons, everything from infantry arms to the largest artillery of the Army. An exception to this is the use of rail-assisted vehicle guns and the recent development of infantry portable rail guns, designed for anti-tank use (however, these are still prototype weapons).

37th Division: 37,800 soldiers with supporting armor

Navy:
The Imperial Astro Navy, more commonly called the Navy, is the second branch of the Imperial Military. It is smaller than the Army and often clashes with the Army when it comes to picking recruits as both branches need the best. When it comes to the doctrine of the Imperial Navy, it is quite simple, it focuses on either large scale, ship to ship engagements where it can use overwhelming firepower to its advantage. Or it focuses on crippling the enemy supply line with rapid assaults from well-armed and small warships.

While it is an advanced force, sporting FTL-capable warships, the designs of these ships are similar to World War II ships both in design and function. Almost all of the warships in the fleet contain turrets which act as the ship’s primary armament in a fight. Cruisers are the primary fighting element of the fleet, using their large cannons, in this case, 9in cannons, to blast away similarly class warships. While destroyers make up a significant amount of the escort fleet and help protect the large ships from missiles or fighters.

19th Rapid Assault Patrol
-1x Type 114 Escort Destroyer
-2x Type 250 Heavy Cruiser
-1x Type 255 Escort Carrier (currently under construction)

71st Support Patrol
-2x Serenity Modular Support Ships
-1x Fuel Tanker
-1x Hospital Ship

Air Force:
Technically, there is no separate air force of the Imperial Military, instead, each branch has its own air corps that are used to support its own forces. While most of the planes used by both branches are the same, they are different in their markings, with army fighters flies red/white Normandy stripes while the navy flies navy blue/white Normandy stripes.

50x VA/F-190 Red Hawk Fighters
30x VA/S-192 Fire Fox Air Superiority Fighters
20x VA/G-140 Condor Gunship

National Goals :
The national goals of the colony are as followed;
-Remain independent and secure from any outside threats, including nations
-Expand the borders of the colony and acquire new resources
-Re-establish contact with the wider Thalduhm Empire
-Reinforce the defenses of the colony

History : The origins of the New Gneisenau colony start with the end of the 17 Years War (which ended in 2284) and the massive rearmament and rebuilding programs that the Empire undertook. The colony of New Gneisenau was originally established on a mineral-rich, which was suitable for colonization by the fenvarians. Upon landing on the planet, the colonists had a difficult time setting up on the world at first, ravaged by high winds, vicious fauna and flora, occasional raiding parties, and the occasional famine. However, the colonists soldiered on in true Thalduhmian spirit, battling it all through determination, stubbornness, bullets, and bayonets. Eventually, after six years of fighting to survive, the colony began to thrive as the minerals from the nearby mines flooded the starport and soon out into the wider Empire. New colonists arrived, hearing tales of bottomless ravines and mines, and unlimited opportunities to live a comfortable life.

But, eventually, this age of uneasy peace and prosperity would be wracked by war and violence as the planet soon became an epicenter for the Border Crisis (2321). Realizing the importance of the world as it lay near the Thalduhmian/Dracoian border and its immeasurable mineral wealth; the planet was extensively fortified with fortress cities covering its landscapes. During the Border Crisis, the planet became a hotbed for military activity on both sides of the war, miles upon miles of trenches were dug and the once peaceful valleys soon became blasted with shell craters and the dead. For the entire duration of the Border Crisis, the planet was consumed by trench warfare as both sides slogged it out to establish their dominance over the fortress cities and eventually the planet. For nine years, the battle lines of the planet barely changed as the Thalduhmians fought tooth and nail to keep the enemy at bay.

Eventually, the Crisis would end and things would go somewhat back to normal, however, the scars of the war still run deep. The entire planet saw a drop in population and unexploded ordnance still litters parts of the countryside. Pockets of chemical weapons and their toxins also still haunt the countryside and some parts of the cities, to this day claim the lives of those who aren't careful.

As of the current year (the 2370s), the colony has been rebuilt for the most part, with new farms and mines opening up. This has led to a massive surge in trade and demand with the wider Empire. Thus new spaceports and shipyards have been built around the main cities to handle the increased volume of goods and the need for more ships. And because of its proximity to the Imperial-Commonwealth border, the colony has also reinforced its defenses to help thwart future attacks.

During one of the expansions of the mines, the miners came across an ancient technological device, unsure what it was for or what it did, it was sent to the laboratory in the nearby city. Thus it was experimented on for some time before being moved to the second largest city and eventually the largest city. Unknown to the scientists, this device was a cartographer and teleporter of sorts and it was mapping the three cities to teleport them somewhere (eventually it would be to the PoD Earth).

The national goals of the colony are as followed;

Incorrect!
New Artorran is, as well... or will be once the translocated communities have got themselves properly re-organised after the move... by something along the lines of Edwardian British standards (but with votes for women already the case, and without either an an 'Irish Problem' or an Empire), anyway...

Interesting. Still, us liberal democracies are few and far between. Socialism and Fascism have a pretty large chokehold over this new world.

My internet's been fairly spotty since yesterday and as such I'm struggling with opening Discord and I'm barely able to get onto the NS. I'll try to continue my attempts at opening Discord, but feel free to send me a telegram here or something if anything needs to be addressed. My post is also almost finished, so keep an eye out for that
