Appearance: Pale white skin, bald. Wears a black cloak and a blindfold
Divine Parent: Eiryia
Inherited Ability: Those who make direct eye contact begin to lose their sanity
Background: No one knows who the parent was or what their occupation was, just that they were found with the child floating in a lake. He lived in a foster home until he was ten, at which point he was (somewhat correctly) accused of influencing the recent mental breakdown of several other orphans.
Since then, he's lived in a cave near the lake, where he only ever ventures out to gather food and water

I’m super stoked, this RP is gonna be so much fun (and Argo is going to be such a dramatic little shit, he’s already my favorite lol).

For getting our characters in the same place, the capital idea is good since it would be somewhere they can find some expertise and would kind of let us get right into the world. So if we just work out who wants to meet who I think we might be good to go.
Though feel free to ask questions and toss ideas around as we go.

I can imagine everybody having a different mode of travel based on magic and/or status. Like some of the kids would be walking, some would probably be in carts or on horses, heck maybe somebody turned into a bird and flew.

I’m sure it will OP, you’re clearly somebody who comes up with a lot of great ideas. And I’m not trying to be rude or rush whatsoever in the slightest, I’m just curious about when the IC might be up?

The blindfold is an interesting touch if direct eye contact can mentally damage others. Can he see by some other method?

Who ran the foster home? Was it a charity or religious institution?

Now that he has been in a cave for 4 years what brings him out to join the main quest searching for the moon child? Is is instinct or dreams? A desire to help? Or something else?

1. That is actually a case of connecting two points of data that seem related, but actually aren't. Anyone who knows about the eye contact thing would assume that the blindfold is to prevent that. But in reality, it's to reduce the brightness of sunlight on his eyes. He can see right through the blindfold, but living in a cave with no natural light for such long periods of time has made his eyes very sensitive to light.

2. I didn't really think about that much, but I would think that a charity foster home would be less likely to outright force a child to leave than a religious one. So probably a religious institution.

3. I mean, the dreams would be what made him aware of the child. But he has his own motivations.

I’m curious if that would mean instead of riding horses, Julia’s order rides tamed big white cats like the one shown? Maybe created by their deity or is in some way connected to them? Then instead of drawing from crops to feed their mounts they draw meat.

Actually I hadn't thought that far. I suppose raising meat-eating steads on a large scale might be uneconomic in a way, so in that case not necessarily the entire order does it. Your last two ideas are intriguing though, I'll have a think.

Yeah, the temperature drops rapidly just before a black snow. And sure, no reason our characters wouldn't be able to tame big creatures given who they are.

If you want a bit of a heads up about Tilian, since his personality isn't mentioned much, he's quite free-spirited and laid-back, but can be a bit timid and quiet when in more intimate moments or with a small group. He's also got all the makings of a potent rake once he's a bit older.

Argo’s more the quiet type; he’s friendly but in a more quiet and covert way and he’s got a ton of angst toward the gods…he feels it’s part of his duty to save humanity from them which is why he’s looking for the moon child.
He’s cool with hanging out with people but is also content to sit by himself and work. Dated only once but that was because he hasn’t really had time.

Hattie of course will be super excited to have another sibling. “Yay, new brother!”

Tilian and Argo will likely get alone well then. Tilian is reserved and rarely talks about himself, but loves to tell stories [naturally] and generally takes things in great stride. Granted, the dialogue between the two of 'em will probably read like something out of a Hemingway Short Story, as they're both probably people who appreciate a good, comfortable silence between people.

He doesn't really have anything against the Gods, but the idea of them using and controlling their children likely urks him a slight bit, even if it largely hasn't affected him.

Nephele is very timid, she doesn't like to talk with strangers so it would be harder to socialize, although she is kind-hearted she normally wants something in exchange for her kindness (Any payment is acceptable), once Nephele trusts you, she will help without the need for payment. She loves high places where she can see everything from there, she is looking for the moon child mainly because she is curious

Hattie is still unpartnered but she's in the capital so I don't know exactly the distance between them.
