From an OOC perspective, sure.
From an IC perspective, that depends on how things are impacted by such a choice.

If the manual is correct that the installation of such pods limits max G overload that MiG-19 can take as well as imposes some limitations on its speeds.

I mean more in the nature of not being able to kill a certain target should the need arise, because you had one weapon over another.

Hey Sapim, you may want to change your post. The SAMs fired at us are S-300s which can engage us from at least 60 kilometers. So you're not just going to dive on it like that. These can easily fire another missile at you while you're approaching. There is also short range gun and missile based air defence which can engage you as well. Flying on ahead of the rest of the force is a bad move here.

Additionally, we've discussed in Discord that Enforcer flight (which includes you) is primarily going after artillery at the Alpha objective and will then shift to destroying armored vehicles wherever is necessary. You shouldn't worry about targeting the SAMs as Assassin flight is going to the same area and one of them is bringing anti-radiation missiles specifically for targeting radar based anti air systems.

The only thing i can find on the internet and old unclassified documents I have, is that the pylons/hard points is that the ones for the drop tanks are for drop tanks only. Again we can't just go with what your Manuel says, we have to be able to verify, so I'll let you hash it out with Anowa

for the MiG-19, you'd probably need drop tanks.

Pretty much every other plane that people have has enough fuel to make the distance.

SAMS are being engaged, multiple aircraft have a T-Pod, SAMS have shut off their radars. SPAA is still engaging. I'm sure anyone would like to help you.

Keep in mind folks, that the Grisons (Tunguskas) are able to cycle off their search/track radar and switch to SACLOS emissions at will. For the duration of that missile's flight, it will be visible on RWR, but would likely drop off as soon as it misses, loses track, or hits another aircraft.

Mission 2 started.

Alpha objective got done and dusted to a swift degree thanks to the efforts of Hitman.

Bravo objective has failed to cross the bridge on account of miscommunication and bad calls from Griffin.

Charlie objective has stalled.

Hitman is mainly assigned to Alpha and has since moved on to support Eagle flight on Bravo to try and salvage what's left of it's friendly element.

Lion flight has been tasked with top cover and ground cover on Charlie with Sicario flight.

Red is currently element lead with Wiseass. Shpik is winged up with Dragon as his lead.
