Would he like to join Liu Bao Rui's retinue? What are his current thoughts on the Imperial family, Empire, etc. And what are his ambitions?

I was going to be solo for a while and do a short adventure on my own first to flesh out the dynamics of my NPC's. I know I wrote a short blurb about each of them, but I tend to really flesh a character out best as I write and with this many I need to give them a bit of room to breathe.

My short bit will be fast though, maybe a few posts, so after that, it's certainly possible, but my rough plan for the solo won't take them outside the capital.

I will be doing a bit of lore for the Imperial family that will need your ok. Also, What is the status of women as trained fighters? I was going go write Liang as being trained by her father and having her own set of armor and her father's sword, but she only defends the homestead.

Vaguely a pessimist, certainly an absurdist, unironically an antinatalist.

About the Imperial family: depends on the lore. Write it and I will decide if it is accepted or not.

About women, there are women fighters. That is not to say that women warriors are as common as men, not at all, but there is a number of women who can fight. So there can be individual women who can fight or Martial Arts Sects with women disciples (some Martial Sects are female only), but do not expect brigades of women in the Imperial Military or women being drafted.

Got it. Would it be reasonable to assume that the Duke has connections with The Order of Heaven since they share very similar goals?

Definitely interested. Just have a few questions before I start building out an application for a pirate.

What type of ships is the setting going to use? Like Chinese junks or European frigates like in the picture for The Ocean.

Secondly, I wanted to give my character a demonic artifact that can summon spirits (or demonic creatures, if allowed) to assist them. Essentially there is a spirit inhabiting the artifact, and she can only call on spirits weaker than the artifact's spirit. Are there monsters in the world because I was thinking of requiring my character to slain either a certain amount of creatures or legendary/rare creatures to level up the artifact. If not, they would level the artifact by slaying other cultivators or qi users and taking their qi. A potential drawback I was thinking of for the power creep was that the artifact is actively trying to control the character. The stronger the artifact, the harder it will be for the character to resist the artifact. Additionally, she has to summon the spirit at certain levels and beat it in combat to continue using it. Does this sounds balanced, or does it need more drawbacks?

This looks great, I should be able to have a finished app up tomorrow at some point. Is it possible for a character, especially a warrior-type, to have trained with the Order of Heaven without joining them formally? I imagined a sort of relationship where wealthy nobles or established military families could send their sons to train with the Order in return for political (and probably financial as well) support in court, without necessarily tying their sons' future to service in the Order.

1) For ships I would be leaning towards Chinese junks.
2) There are monsters but are extremely rare, so your character would probably be slaying other cultivators instead.
3) While that is one good drawback, I would want another drawback too. Maybe have your character feel exhausted after summoning the spirit, which would leave him vulnerable if someone decides to attack shortly thereafter. But that is just a suggestion on my part. You can come up with some other weakness if you want to. :)

That is possible, yes. Though while staying in the Order, they would be expected to follow the rules like everyone else and won't be getting special treatment.

Name | Title: Cara Montserrat/Monty

Office: Doctor, Town Physician (she has her own practice set up in the heart of the capital city)

Gender: Female

Age | Height | Weight: 25/ 5’3/ 120 lbs

Race: Human

Region of Origin: New Province

Current location: New Province

Physical Description: Cara has shoulder length curling brown hair that she usually keeps clasped out of her face while working, deep bronze skin and almond-shaped, slightly upturned black eyes. Her face is oval and smattered with freckles, and she's 5'3 with a slender, willowy build.

Personality:

Strengths:
Good Doctor: She's an accomplished physician and as such has an extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical techniques. She's also trained in some basic self-defense. (c'mon, y'all really wanna fight somebody who knows where all your vital points are?)

Book Smart: Due to her access to the Church's library, she's read a lot and is very intelligent, having knowledge on things that a lot in her position wouldn't know about.

Bedside Manner: She's a very kind and compassionate person, always willing to help out. Unfortunately this can be a double edged sword because there are some who won't hesitate to take advantage of or abuse that kindness.

Determined: She's very determined to accomplish her goals, not the type to give up easily

Weakness:
Not A Fighter: Though she knows some basic self-defense, she's far from an accomplished warrior which means a trained soldier or three could easily whoop her ass.

Common Birth: She's from a family of conquered peoples and humble birth, good luck trying to get anything sold with that beginning. Especially in a world that values birth over skill a lot of the time. Also she's not rich.

Lack of Worldliness: Although she's read widely, she hasn't really been outside of New Province, and as such a lot of customs and things in other realms would be quite foreign to her.

Radical: Although an adherent of the God of Fire, she disagrees with some of the Church's practices: ie, persecuting and burning witches, resulting both in a loss of innocent lives and useful knowledge.

Cash Strapped: She earns enough to support herself...maybe a teensy bit more if she saves carefully, but that's about it.

Mad Scientist: She's not above performing forbidden studies and unorthodox experiments to get to the bottom of how a disease works, and as such she has to keep this hidden from the Church.

Biography: Cara was born in New Province, formerly the Kingdom of Geowrofeth to a working-class commoner family. Her father was an apothecary who would prepare medicines to be supplied amongst the populace and her mother supplemented the family income by plying her trade at spinning and weaving. It was from her father that Cara, called Monty by family and friends would inherit her passion of medicine and science, and as such he would allow her to read the books from their small library and watch him work, which progressed into her assisting him at his profession when she was deemed old enough, which is usually around twelve in the bigger cities. An only child, she was doted on by her parents, who often didn't have a lot of money for new clothing or possessions, but made sure their daughter never starved and gave her all the love a child could want.

Monty looks back on her early life with fondness, but also with sadness and anger once she recalls the tragedy that befell her when she was around fourteen. Her father was reported for supplying food and medicine to a rebellion that had started up in Geowrofeth, a rebellion that wished to oust the Golden Realm and restore their country's independence. The identity of his rebel friends as well as their secret informant has so far not been discovered...and if it has then Cara had no knowledge. All she knows is that Imperial troops came into her house and arrested her father, dragging him off to never be seen again. She doesn't even know if he's in jail or executed, his fate is entirely a mystery to her. The incident has left her with a deep distrust of the members of the Golden Realm, in particular the Imperial Court. Cara would take over her father's apothecary business after that before setting out at 19 to strike out on her own, providing her mother with most of the money she'd saved up working in her father's old shop and taking what she'd thought she'd need on her journey.

Before her father's arrest, Cara had been corresponding with an old family friend, a retired physician by the name of Dr. Alfred Neilsson and asked him if he would help continue her training. He accepted, out of respect for his old friend as well as being genuinely impressed by the girl's skill, and under his tutelage she became a fully licensed physician, working for him for a few years before setting up her own practice. She now works in New Province tending to the sick and injured.

Equipment:[list]
[*]Primary Weapon:
[*]Secondary Weapon:
[*]Gear: A set of dark grey robes embroidered with the crest of the physician’s corps in red, and a dark grey tunic with that same embroidery. She also wears an apron and gloves, and has a set of dresses for casual occasions.
[*]Additional Items: Medical kit: consisting of surgeon’s tools, bandages, medicine vials, herbs, and the like. She wears her father’s ring on a chain around her neck, and a well-worn copy of a popular book of poetry

Holdings:N/A

Likes: Her job, helping people, embroidery, poetry, pies, collecting oddities

Dislikes:: The Imperial soldiers and the Golden Realm, as they’ve colonized her country. She also has a dislike of licorice and horrible table manners.

Moral Alignment: Neutral good

Other Info: Anything else you want to mention

Character Application :: Tahiyyah Qureshi

Postby The Realm of Hyrule » Sat May 29, 2021 9:46 am

Name: Tahiyyah Qureshi

Title: Qarina 'Alsayaadati' ( 'Huntress' Consort), Tüy adım (Given 'Tribal' name)

Office: Third Consort to Faiiamid (Equivalent title to 'Khan' in RL) Khushdil Rahija, Honoured Member of the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' (Faiheem Nomads).

Gender: Female

Age | Height | Weight: Tahiyyah Qureshi has been on the mortal plain for around thirty-four years now, and had developed to quite the height of 175 cm, given or taken in estimation... At around 88 kilograms of weight, any additional bulk in all actuality comes from developed muscle, most predominantly in the legs and arms due to long periods of walking, and in almost constant training, and using of a bow.

Race: Human

Region of Origin: The Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk (Known by the Golden Realm simply as the Desert Lands )

Current location: The 'Sakhrat alshams almahruqa' (Sun Scorched Rock) Oasis, to the south-east of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, only a few kilometers away from the Forest of Death's outskirts...

Physical Description:
Image

Shown above is Tahiyyah Qureshi in rich, yet efficiently crafted 'Kraliyet Avcıları Giysileri' clothing, graciously gifted to her as a token of his affection by the Faiiamid, Khushdil Rahija upon the woman being declared as one of his consorts. Though Tahiyyah Qureshi can be occasionally seen in more simple garbs, it is often the white, pink and gold clothing that she is often seen wearing, with pride.

Despite her relatively long age, it would perhaps be accurate to say that, potentially due to the rather unforgiving nomadic life within the scorching heat of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk that would require either a great physical prowess, or a truly catered-for lifestyle to avoid perishing to the woes of the lands and thus being buried underneath the scorching sands of the deserts, such aforementioned physical strain has kept Tahiyyah Qureshi rather fit, physically healthy and perhaps even young-looking, not a many hint such as the potential occasional wrinkle or sagging of the skin to suggest the coming of age.
For unlike the many a consort that Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija has, or perhaps even have had, the third current one was never one to be content with taking the easy option, to watch on as the many other members of the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' (Faiheem Nomads) would have put in the hard effort of keeping the order sustained. Instead, in the surprisingly equal, yet perhaps seen as primitive society of Nomads, Tahiyyah Qureshi had indeed not found her calling within the arms and care of the Faiiamid, but within a more active role...

Personality: If anyone could have ever managed to read about, know about Tahiyyah Qureshi without any prior knowledge of one's sex, perhaps that individual may have been lead to believe that such character was perhaps male...
Because for most, especially within the current cultural climate of the Golden Realm and the stereotypical beliefs in the role of gender, it would be accurate to say that the Qarina 'Alsayaadati' would not seem at all very womanly. Stemming from an originally tough life of constant battle against not only the physical strains of surviving the harsh, almost constantly + 42°C of the deserts, but also a more social and emotional apathetic upbringing, of which parents and peers simply either couldn't, or wouldn't find much time at all to cater to a child, Tahiyyah Qureshi would have picked up many a kinesthetic trait early on, the brutal honesty of the idea that "If one was unwilling to struggle and work, then they would almost certainly perish" being picked up on by a young Tahiyyah Qureshi quickly...

This continues even now, as even though the woman in question has found herself in a more catered lifestyle as one of the polygamous consorts of the leading Faiiamid of the Nomadic tribe, both an unwillingness to settle into an easier, yet less exciting lifestyle and in addition a sense of duty and honour to not allow herself to become a 'parasite' to the tribe, being given but giving little in return, an active lifestyle continues...

As mentioned above, Tahiyyah Qureshi foremost has a huge sense of duty to her Nomadic culture, her peers and fellow members of which she considers family. This is often a driving force for any goals she sets out to achieve, putting more stock on the wellbeing of the collective moreso than herself. Otherwise, she is known to be perhaps a little... Unrelatable at times, too pragmatic and too focused on the goal for most of her time to take time to relax, to communicate much of a personality that can be related to. This creates a strange concoction of opposites, for example though she had trained herself in the arts of speechcraft at a natural, yet still large enough way to become quite charismatic and effective in debates, in conversation, she is however lacking in creating a sense of personability within others, as she does not show herself often to be a character to truly gravitate towards.
Though such points talked before suggest that Tahiyyah Qureshi is truly a cold person to be around, hidden underneath an uncaring and professional façade would be a moreso womanly characteristic of gentle softness, of empathy and loving, usually only ever communicated around those that one would truly feel comfortable with, for instance her closest peers, and of course her 'husband' in the Faiiamid, Khushdil Rahija.

Strengths: Tahiyyah Qureshi is known for many a thing, perhaps firstly as her title as third consort to the Faiiamid of the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' (Faiheem Nomads), but otherwise perhaps as a great hunter, explorer and fighter... For her childhood, even from early years of a surprising amount of neglect, being left most of the time to fend for herself rather than being able to rely on the support of others to get through the harsh life of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, one would have naturally grown to be strong physically, regardless of their gender. And though now life is easier under the relative riches, and care of the Faiimad of the Nomadic tribe, the woman still very much hasn't given on what she has had to do for most of life.
For one, she is known to be an expert in the wielding of the bow, quiver and arrows. When given an opportunity to test her archery against others in competitions, often part of celebrations such as the annual 'Işıkların yardımseverliğinin kutlanması' (Otherwise known as the 'Festival of the Sun') dedicated to thanking, and appeasing the Sun, seen as a deity for continued survival, Tahiyyah Qureshi often enough places first in competitions that involve the use of a bow, and arrows.

A small quirk of Tahiyyah Qureshi is that, some of the Nomadic Tribe's members may often be privy to referring to the woman by the title of 'Heyvan-ustası' (Beastmaster), as she seems to have a gravity, a knack or perhaps even an unknown aura for attracting the attention, and interest of various different species of animals... She has been known to expertly tame the denizens of the skies, the bird, such as the most commonly found 'Alsaqr Aldhahabiu' (Basically a Falcon IRL) and 'Gri Talonlu Kartal' (Equivalent to an Eagle IRL), and has kept many a 'Gri Talonlu Kartal' as companions to aid in hunts, or simply for aforementioned companionship in her life.

Otherwise, Tahiyyah Qureshi has learnt to be professionally charismatic in debate and conversation, and uses pragmatism to full effect, knowing when best to act soft, to use intimidation or otherwise to get her way when needed.

Weakness: Where Tahiyyah Qureshi may be professionally charismatic (as mentioned above), she is not a very personable character, however... Her upbringing, devotion to completing whatever she may have set out to do, ideals of duty and having a whatever-it-takes attitude all compounds to create an exterior character that simply would not command much reason to be truly liked personally. As such, though Tahiyyah Qureshi would perhaps be able to personally command the situation of a one-to-one conversation, she would be almost useless in a popular situation, where one may need to develop a crowd of supporters to be needed in clout in higher political or personal situations.
This would also suggest that she simply would be an awful leader, and that would perhaps be a correct assumption. Most of her life she has not needed to ever be given a role in leadership, and as such is truly untrained in the field. Any connection to another she would have would be something personal and intimate, such as a good friend or a lover, or there would not be much of a connection at all.

Whilst Tahiyyah Qureshi knows how to wield a dagger, or a sword she would not be a great fighter when forced to combat a hostile force up close and personal. For the hunt of the Desert, against animals or other enemy groups is very much focused on stalking the sands slowly and carefully, rarely using a close quarters weapon or technique to fight as often enough one could not get close enough to their target before they either flee, or fight...
As such, the Nomadic desert life truly does focus itself on the Bow and Quiver, rather than the melee weapon or unarmed skill. To put it briefly, because the open deserts do not force situations where one would need to fight in close quarters, most and especially so with Tahiyyah Qureshi would be lost, and at a true disadvantage if put into such a situation. In addition to the weakness of close-quarters combat, like most Nomads who have to focus on constant movement, and the simple task of survival in comparison to other hobbies, the Qarina 'Alsayaadati' and many within the Nomadic Tribe would have zero to none grasp on the magical elements of the 'Qi'... If Tahiyyah Qureshi was to ever come across an adept 'Qi' user, one could easily become outmatched, there is no protection against a force attack, or even worse the magical capabilities of those who are adept in the Power Formation.

(OOC: Tell me if I would need to detail one or two more weaknesses, if needed?)

Biography:
Tahiyyah Qureshi is truly getting restless now... She believes that, to put it in simple terms, the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' Faii are either not aware, or in the belief that the Walaihan Emirate is not enough of a threat yet to warrant true action. For the Qarina 'Alsayaadati', she would believe that to overlook the situation and to continue with the status quo of current conditions would not only be showing deniability, but would also be truly irresponsible and perhaps even dangerous to do so...

The Walaihan Emirate is truly weak in comparison to the still quite mysterious Empire to the east of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, and past the so-called 'Forest of Death', but in regards to the Nomadic cultures, the true people of these unforgiving lands and the forgotten civilisations of whom actually represent what culture within Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk better than the settled people of Walaihain could ever do, the Emirate should indeed be viewed as threatening to them as the Golden Realm seems to them.
If the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' Faii... If all of the Faii wished to retain their unique civilisation, their sovereignty, everything that makes everyone who they are, something would need to be done about Walaihain, and sooner would certainly be better than later. Tahiyyah Qureshi, a woman of whom has travelled across the realm as a figure independent from the stereotypes that may have been placed upon her by the foreigners of different societies, she truly does know that the Emirate wishes to put the entire desert under their heel.

This topic has been brought up by Tahiyyah Qureshi before to her Faii... To her 'khatib', Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija, but today would be the day that she'd be serious about such topic, it has been decided... Perhaps Khushdil Rahija would be more privy to listen to his other 'khatib', or his advisors, however perhaps not. The Qarina 'Alsayaadati' knows that, seemingly so the Faiiamid puts special attention on his favourite 'khatib'. Khushdil Rahija may well see Tahiyyah Qureshi as a more. Attractive item of his affections, but she sincerely believes that he may indeed see her as something moreso, something ever intimate.
If she can use that to help convince him to take action, then all the better.

... Later that day ...

The tent was up, the orange sky showing dusk quickly approaching, and indeed beginning as well lit the sand-stained rocky landscape all around the Oasis of which the Faii had been established within as shelter from heat of the day, and soon enough the cold, cold night of the deserts around... This Oasis, named the 'Sakhrat alshams almahruqa' after the rocky landscape was a popular destination of the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' Faii during their routes taken across the desert. As a matter of fact, Khushdil Rahija, and his Faii had managed to use their muscle and diplomacy to establish a monopoly of sorts over the various oasis' of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, which has made their Faii truly one of, if not the most powerful Nomadic Culture in the harsh deserts due to simply how important an Oasis is in the deserts... But that is neither here nor there.
For finally, the Faiiamid, Khushdil Rahija had managed to finish fawning over the other 'khatib', and now finally Khushdil Rahija and Tahiyyah Qureshi would be alone together.

And so, snuggled up against each other ever so lovingly, Tahiyyah would take a rather long sigh, before starting:

Qarina Tahiyyah Qureshi
(*sighs lightly*) "I do look forward to the evenings, for this my love... It is sometimes, when we cuddle and stare beyond the tents to the sky beyond that I wish for this to never end...
Khushdil... I am worried that it will, one day. Please, may I ask you something?"
Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija
"Do you fear that I may... Lose interest in you, my beloved? No need, you are the best thing I can ask for, I would not abandon you."
Tahiyyah Qureshi
"Khushdil, you know that I know that is true. It will not be each other that pull us away, I very much believe so...
I worry that. An outside force may potentially shatter what we have... No, what all us Faii have."
Khushdil Rahija
(*Sighs loudly*) "I would... Swear upon the Sun if that wasn't blasphemy, Tahiyyah! It's about the settled again, isn't it?
For all that is good, why do you worry about them? The Walaihan are nothing to worry about, they only number in the thousands. Us nomads are much too spread out for them to threaten us, and unlike them we can just move when they want to come for us, even if they do."

Tahiyyah Qureshi would recoil, ever so slightly at the Faiiamid's aggression, before she could have even finished with what she was going to say. But, it would not take more than a second to recover, Khushdil has been like this before, it did come before expected but otherwise...
In response to what her love had said in return, Tahiyyah would turn to look at him ever so slightly to look into his eyes, with a soft smile, if only a little feigned, and soon enough would then respond with:

Tahiyyah Qureshi
"Come now, my Khatib, please don't be clouded in denial. You know I only say what I have to say because I care, correct?
We continue to ignore the Walaihan Emirate and what it will eventually do, the problem will cascade. It is always better that one acts on threats sooner rather than later, any great Hunter knows that, I assure you... They will come for us eventually, and when it is done so they'll be too powerful to stop.

Please, honey... I just want to see us survive."
Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija
"Tahiyyah... I. The blood on my hands that will be should we fight instead of...
It does not seem right, is all... Is there not peace that can be forged?"
Qarina Tahiyyah Qureshi
"Unless we want to see our unique ways assimilated into the Emirate, the settled people, the... Untruthful civilisation, unfortunately I. Do not believe that we could share a peace."
Khushdil Rahija
"What of my people, dear? What of... You? I want to see you all safe, especially you indeed.
I don't want to see you go..."

In response to Khushdil, seemingly emotional over the thought of losing his people... Perhaps even losing Tahiyyah to conflict, the aforementioned would clasp the Faiiamid's hands with her own, with a low smile and perhaps even a twinkle in one's eye, giving out the slightest gasp, a sigh.
Looking deep within Khushdil Rahija's eyes with her own, Tahiyyah would respond lightly with:

Tahiyyah Qureshi
"It's the only thing we can do... We'd lose not only a few of our Faiimembers, but in addition our whole, current existence if we were to be assimilated... Everything that makes us what we are, gone under the Walaihan Emirate's cruel boots.

I promise to you... I promise to Rojê that whatever happens. I will survive, I always have, no? And I'll always love you."

...

Khushdil Rahija
(*Long sigh, short stifle*) "Wha... By all that is good. What, do you want to do? What do you want me to do?"
Qarina Tahiyyah Qureshi
"Just.. Stay strong, for me... For the others and for the entire Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri.
Specifically? Perhaps... Convince the other Faii Nomadic cultures as I may have convinced you. We could also consider exploring further, outside of the deserts? We've all heard of this huge civilisation past that grim forest, it would be a good idea to... Talk to them, no?"
Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija
"That... Empire? Do we have business with them to discuss, it seems unlikely.
By any means, who'd even make the journey to talk with them?"

With his words, the idea of the exploration trip of a lifetime would emerge within Tahiyyah, it is a proposition that she had thought of for many a month, perhaps even year... An opportunity to explore further than the sandy and dusty dunes of Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk would be highly tempting indeed. And yes, Tahiyyah Qureshi does indeed love her 'khatib', but truthfully she is always around him, doing the same routine over and over again...
The prospect of breaking that monotony is such an overpowering prospect, if even for only days of respite.

In addition, she believes she can only trust herself to do what needs to be done... So, she would attempt to have permission to do just that given by her love, the Faiiamid... With yet another low, yet genuine smile one would continue the conversation with the statement:

Tahiyyah Qureshi
"I... Perhaps you can trust me to do that.
You know me very well, Khushdil. You trust me more than anyone, no? I'd do my utmost to do what you would want to happen, perhaps moreso than anyone else!"
Khushdil Rahija
"No, please Tahiyyah! I don't... I can't let you leave, without you...
What if you... Cease to be, my love? I cannot contemplate the thought."
Qarina Tahiyyah Qureshi
"You know that I will never... Lose, not unless it is by your side.
I have to refuse to stay seated and let the sands of time take it's toll without me doing anything to contribute to it! You very well know that as much as I do. Please allow me to help by doing this task, Khushdil. If you truly... Believe in me, my dearest. You won't deny my wishes, right?"

...

Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija
... (*Heavy sigh*) "You push me so hard, my Tahiyyah... How. How long would you be gone?"
Tahiyyah Qureshi
"We are taught not to lie... And I will not lie to you, indeed I will not! So, in truthfullness, I do not know."
Khushdil Rahija
(With a surprisingly loud voice) "If... The worst happens to you out there... I hope you find torment forever in the afterlife!"

Tahiyyah Qureshi would give the faintest smile to that, she knows that indeed signifies, even if reluctant, acceptance... She would be truly happy, and excitement for the proposition of exploration beyond the Dark Forests would begin to slowly brim within. In return for the acceptance, the Qarina 'Alsayaadati' would happily pull Khushdil into an embrace as they cuddle, Tahiyyah's face burying into the arm of Khushdil ever so lovingly...
They would remain like that for a while, with Tahiyyah Qureshi making one single comment, an attempt at humour, even if it was perhaps a little dark.

Tahiyyah Qureshi
(*Slight, quiet chuckle*) "Yes, that is fair to say... At the very least, you've got your other lovers as well, correct?"

...
...
...

In the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, where the world is yet still rather unknown and mysterious, it would be quite true indeed to say that the sands of time are strange and unlawful indeed... In the blazing heat and freezing cold that envelops the deserts every day and every night, the simple act of survival truly does have to come above plenty else for it's peoples, especially so if said person is in all actuality not a resident of Walaihan, but otherwise a wandering nomad, and as such to be able to record a dating system, to be able to pinpoint certain events to a certain time is most certainly a rarity...
This leads to the details, or perhaps lack of details would be more accurate to say, of the Third Consort to Faiiamid Khushdil Rahija, Tahiyyah Qureshi's history... As with anything, however theory with combination with fact may enlighten the mystery, and as such to discuss the topic is in all actuality a possibility...

Only generalisations can be made about the Qarina 'Alsayaadati' and her childhood. For the rather unforgiving lands of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, the unapologetic reality of the fact that life is truly something fragile, it would be true to say that Tahiyyah Qureshi has done quite well for herself, for she is currently thirty-four years of age, though very much so still looks young indeed due to what had been, and relatively speaking still is rigorous work, not only by choice but for survival in addition.
It is said that Tahiyyah's childhood was a rather neglectful one, of abandonment by parents that was ingrained to everything bar the simple physical presence, giving the child little more than the bare essentials for survival... However, where one perhaps didn't find company in the immediate family, it may be perhaps correct to say that instead the (future) Qarina 'Alsayaadati' found what had been lacking with the other members of the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri', a fact that is indeed representative of her perceived duty to protect and help with the Faii as if all were close family.

By any means, being forced by unfortunate circumstances to attempt to survive perhaps moreso than even the others of the Faii, Tahiyyah Qureshi had grown throughout her childhood, the signs of an ever capable fighter, and hunter showing even during young years. Indeed, it seemed that even with the sex that she was born to, her skill with the use of the bow has shown to be more powerful than many a man's. Tahiyyah had been holding, and thus using a bow, quiver and arrow effectively since a surprisingly young age of fourteen, mostly evidenced by reports that she had managed to hunt a Faiheem single-handedly at that age.
The strength and skill of Tahiyyah Qureshi was indeed rather respected by the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' Faii, and so by the time of coming to age, she was not simply left to hang dry, or otherwise be given a more passive role that females of the Faii were mainly known to partake in, but rather she had become quite the oddity and given the permission to partake in hunts and exploration. It seemed that many a man commented on how odd it truly was for a woman to be seen trudging or riding along what would otherwise be an all-man party, and though due to this there was always some uncomfort between Tahiyyah Qureshi and the others of the various parties due to the strangeness, nevertheless proved time and again that indeed, the woman should be respected as an equal in strength and skill to the others...

Tahiyyah Qureshi's place in the Faii would have continued to be for twelve full years since coming of age, but eventually the status quo would have changed...
It was on the year that an altercation between the, at the time the current Faiiamid of the Faii, Reza Mosta'An and the still ever current Faiiamid, but then a well-respected yet still simple member, Khushdil Rahija had begun, and then soon ended... For after Khushdil Rahija had become very much vocal about the claims that "Faiiamid Mosta'An had been causing the Faii's slow decline from the most predominant Faii of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, giving the many other groups leeway to be muscled to their demands without fight", Reza Mosta'An had forced the future Faiiamid into a tradition etched to time, a duel... Simply put, either Reza Mosta'An would slaughter Khushdil Rahija in open combat, proving that he would still be fit to lead, or otherwise Khushdil Rahija would emerge victorious, and assume the place of the by-then killed Reza Mosta'An as Faiiamid of the Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri.
As history had proven, it was Khushdil Rahija who claimed victory, allegedly killing Reza Mosta'An by slamming the hilt of a sword down so hard on his skull that it physically shattered, the brains being quickly scattered to the winds... With such a victory, two of Reza Mosta'An's Consorts quickly declared their 'love' for Khushdil Rahija, and thus became his first, and second Consorts then and there... Another three refused to do so, and retired from the life of a Consort to a rather normal life in the Faii.

By any means, two years passed after that incident, and in that time many hypothesise that the Faiiamid had gotten tired of the company of the first and second Consort, though never would this have been declared... If this were to be the case, then that would have been the time that Khushdil Rahija would have begun his search for a third...
Tahiyyah Qureshi would have almost been instantly the woman that Khushdil Rahija would have sought to woo. Even before his ascent, Khushdil knew very well of the stories of the 'Huntress' girl, the individual who would not have let gender roles overcome her passion and dedication for the hunt, and thus became the strange outlier to the Hunters and Explorers of the Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri, a lone women amongst men. It is said that Khushdil Rahija had not seen this as a negative, as a disobedient women who would not accept to be 'normal', but instead felt respect, even attraction for the fact, seeing a fiery spirit, one that would never have lead to boredom, or perhaps even annoyance.

Under a clear night, Tahiyyah Qureshi would have personally been invited to speak with the Faiiamid within his grand tent. And on that night, his intentions became clear to her, Khushdil Rahija wished to see her become his third Consort...
But even then, it took many days, perhaps even two single weeks before Tahiyyah Qureshi had been convinced to do so, to give the consent that he would have needed. Khushdil Rahija had to promise like he perhaps never had done before, that as Consort Tahiyyah Qureshi would not be forced to become a stay-at-home, and 'passive' individual under it all, she may still pursue the activity of the hunt of which she had grown up with, and indeed enjoyed too much indeed to simply drop. However, it would indeed also be incorrect to state that any love between the pair was not mutual, for Tahiyyah Qureshi had grown to become attached to the Faiiamid for most the same reason as he did her, a perceived fiery personality that had driven him to slay Reza Mosta'An due to his beliefs in his ineptitude ever before, his commitment to do what he wanted, and more that cannot be known...

...

By any means, a new status quo would have settled for Tahiyyah Qureshi, upon the day of which a festival truly showed that her role as third Consort to Khushdil Rahija was truly official... In the scorching hot days of the deserts, the woman would have done what had always been done, to join the hunts and exploration missions of the Faii, and in the cold nights would have found comfort and warmth within the grand tent of the Faiiamid, and indeed plenty of times in the arms of Khushdil Rahija. Though it has never been stated officially, it is most obvious to all that witness it that Tahiyyah Qureshi truly was the Faiiamid's favourite Consort, which has always caused pronounced tension between the Qarina 'Alsayaadati', Khushdil Rahija and the first and second Consorts... The First and Second often believe that they are seen as little more than trophies and woman to breed with by Khushdil moreso than actual lovers, and though have on occasion seemingly sought to seek their departure as Consorts, have stayed due to fears of being uncomfortable, perhaps even in danger without the safety of the Faiiamid and his grand tents that are pitched up. Khushdil Rahija does not make it very subtle that he truly prefers the company of Tahiyyah Qureshi to the first and second Consorts, and it is believed that personally, Tahiyyah views the First and Second as unproductive, lazy and unpersonable, unwilling to do much more than stay seated, or ride comfortable atop a sturdy Faiheem and look pretty.

However, Tahiyyah Qureshi is content with the status quo... Only recently however, as rumours spread throughout the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk sands that the Walaihan Emirate seeks to do. Rather dishonourable acts in their mission to strengthen the deserts against a still unknown threat, such as the force assimilation of the Faii Nomads to secure the Emirate's power and position has Tahiyyah Qureshi personally sought more to do, becoming ever more dedicated to helping with the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' Faii's preparation, perhaps even resistance against the Walaihan Emirate's plans.
The future is uncertain for Tahiyyah Qureshi, truly... But it is known that if she get her way, the Qarina 'Alsayaadati' could truly go onto do plenty more, perhaps even in taking a more active role in the overall hierarchy of the 'Kimsəsiz suların izləyiciləri' than ever before...
...
...

Summary of Goals: Tahiyyah Qureshi, as mentioned previously in many instances is if anything, truly dedicated to her Nomadic 'Faii' (The common endonym for 'Tribe' ), and as such would wish to truly do what she believes would be best for it, if that means attempting to protect her 'family', peers and of course the Faiiamid with everything, potentially even including her life if needed, it would be done so...
As such, she wishes to help the Nomads in the fight against what is seen as the oppressive Walaihan Emirate, of whom seems to seek the assimilation of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk to them, including the Nomadic cultures that reside across it. It is said by the Emirate itself that to do such is in all actuality a noble goal, as with the unification of the entire lands, it would be able to better suppress and resist influence or even incursion by the Golden Realm, the Empire to the east which had not a century ago completely taken over a sovereign land of which had a culture, civilisation and people completely unique from themselves.

But, in order to do this the Walaihan Emirate, as mentioned previously seeks to incorporate and 'pacify' the nomadic cultures, with no regard for the aforementioned cultures wishes for self-determination. Tahiyyah Qureshi for one supports this self-determination, and as such will wish to attempt to fight off whatever the Emirate wishes to do against them.

Otherwise, Tahiyyah Qureshi does indeed wish to, personally, explore Dalu, the realms further than the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, such as the Golden Realm and the 'New Province'... She may yet fulfill her personal wish, for perhaps in the future, perhaps not so distant the Nomadic 'Faii' may well need to convince the Golden Realm to support their endeavors to bring down the Emirate, or at the very least make sure that there will be no intervention.
Otherwise, the future is uncertain for Tahiyyah Qureshi. There is many a factor that could change, or very well destroy such goals mentioned above, so only time will tell if the goals may be completed...

Equipment:
  • Primary Weapon:
    Image
The 'Kıymık izi', the name given by Tahiyyah Qureshi to her personal Bow...
Accompanying the Bow would always be a quiver, loaded with at least
ten arrows for any given situation.
  • Secondary Weapon:
    Image
The 'Khatar Jawhariun', yet again another name given to a personal weapon...
This dagger would not only be useful for close quarters combat, but also
for skinning carcasses, preparing foods or harvesting plants.
  • Gear: (See above) Usually, Tahiyyah Qureshi is seen wearing her 'Kraliyet Avcıları Giysileri' clothes, which is not only rich and quite stunning, but also effective at protection, as light leather acts as a slight barrier to any force against the torso, though the baggy white and pink silk would do little in that regard, but helps in keeping the elements, such as heat from the body.
The headscarf can be pulled above, to cover the mouth and nose as to prevent sand or dust, a hugely common nuisance in the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk from interrupting and potentially causing more than just annoyance by entering one's mouth, or nostrils etc.

Tahiyyah Qureshi often goes nowhere without a quiver, and may also have gloves on, especially in the presence of a tamed 'Alsaqr Aldhahabiu' or 'Gri Talonlu Kartal' as to protect the hands from damage by talons.
  • Additional Items: A 'pendant of the sun', though perhaps not always worn would be on the person, as it is a hugely important religious item that is said to bless the one who holds it with good fortune, and the favor of the Deity of the Sun as to help mitigate the harsh effects of the searing heat, sand and dust.
In addition, Tahiyyah Qureshi also often has with her dried meats as to potentially either help with the taming of beasts, or otherwise to lure unknowing prey towards her with the prospect of food, and may also take further memorabilia with her, even though she is not one to get truly attached to an item for sentimental value.

Holdings: Holdings?! Blasphemy!
(Sarcasm...)

Likes: This should come as no surprise, but Tahiyyah Qureshi would naturally gravitate towards, and like those who would support the cause of self-determination... As such, with the very little she knows about the plight of Geowrofeth currently, would perhaps be inclined to view some of the peoples of the 'New Province' and their struggles for independence against the Golden Realm as just, and honourable. In general, she also supports those who wish to be selfless, helpful and compassionate. Tahiyyah Qureshi, contrary to her outwards professionalism and pragmatism does enjoy close company with those she would consider friends, and though expressed little makes her enjoy intimacy, both out of friendship and otherwise ever moreso.
She has been conditioned to enjoy wandering, and exploring. She likes different foodstuffs, such as berries, cooked and salted Faiheem meat, Prickly Pear Fruit and more. An extremely rare privilege for the heat of the Faamiuyi Qûmên hişk, one of Tahiyyah Qureshi's favourite things to eat and drink is simply... Cold water.

Dislikes: To begin with the antithesis to what Tahiyyah Qureshi likes, it may be quite obvious that she would dislike those who would seek to oppress others, especially if done so out of racism, classism, nationalistic belief and more. This does indeed make her quite wary of the goals of the Golden Realm, and to add to the point made of calling upon them for help against the Emirate discussed above, the Qarina 'Alsayaadati' would see them more as a necessary evil to temporarily win over to avoid mishap than an actual ally that would be trusted. It is said that Tahiyyah Qureshi may perhaps be quite sensitive, and would become upset at those who would intentionally harm their animal companions, such as mounts and pets without justification, but that remains unproven, moreso an assumption made by her tendencies as a 'beastmaster'... She is not very fond of cowardice, and inaction, from herself and others, and though she perhaps doesn't uphold the most bright of moral codes, she still dislikes needless selfishness.

In terms of fear, like many of the fellow 'Faii' Nomadic members, there would be a case of mild thalassophobia, fearing the unknown of what lies beneath the 'Blue Deserts'... For one, Tahiyyah Qureshi would enjoy drinking water, but most certainly not being submerged in deep and large expanses of it.
She also fears doing dishonour to those she likes, or respects, and to a lesser extent is always somewhat wary of what people think of her.

In regards to food and water, she does not like alcohol, seeing it as a poison that many people, especially those who live in settled communities seem foolish enough to drink, and regularly as well. She does not enjoy the taste of certain fruits, and their juices, for instance the rare amount of times she had encountered a Coconut, it was never touched. Though she uses dried meats often enough for different reasons, she dislikes it herself, and she is not particularly fond of wheats and oats, especially breads.

Moral Alignment: True Neutral/Neutral Good

Other Info: Tahiyyah Qureshi believes in the Xêrxwaziya Rojê (Perhaps known by it's exonym, the Religion of the Sun to others) fealty... Though she is not consumed by the belief like some other zealots as is quite common within the Nomadic 'Faii', the woman is most certainly theist, in the belief that the sun is in fact an all-powerful deity, that must be respected in order for it's favor and thus the continued survival of Dalu

Theoretically, as many as you want. In practice, I would say to begin with 2 or 3 at most. :)

So, Sao Nova Europa, I have a question (That'll be useful to know going forward...)

What is the stereotypical Gender Roles and such perception within Dalu (Especially within the Golden Realms, and the New Province as well) ? I remember you mentioned that Female fighters and martial warriors are not a complete unknown, so perhaps they are more lax than the IRL medieval world?
But to what extent?

Any elaboration would be great!

More lax than medieval world, but less lax than modern world. To summarize: women fighters do exist (and so do female Martial Orders), but they are somewhat rare and most women are expected to subscribe to more traditional gender roles.

Name | Title: Eunbi Pan

Office: Sin of Gula, a team captain in the Flower of Seven Sins, and Captain of Tempero

Gender: Female

Age | Height | Weight: 28/ 5'6/ 59 kg

Race: Human

Region of Origin: The South

Current location: The Ocean

Physical Description:
Image
Image

She has white hair, blood-red eyes, and her clothing is covered in a black aura when in her battle-form.

Personality: Her usual personality can be described as stern and detached. She tries her best to act without emotions, but this personality falls apart when she uses her artifact. Her actions and words become louder and more dramatic the longer she wields the artifact. Her battle-form exerts extreme bloodthirst and acts purely on emotions. If she isn't careful, she can enter a berserk mode, which is detrimental to her qi foundation and health. She retains some of her intelligence in battle-form but behaves animalistic with no intelligence in berserk mode.

Strengths:
-Combat Prowess: The Flower of Seven Sins raised her to be a contract killer from the moment she was born. She was thrown into a hell-like training camp that pits her to fight other trainees to the death. She left the facility when she was 13 to take on her first contract. Eubin gained around ten years of field experience before training under The Demonic Sect under the Flower of Seven Sins' orders.
-Contract Killer/ Mercenary: Her years as contract killer/mercenary for the Flower of Seven Sins taught her how to blend into a crowd and take advantage of her gender to kill a target. Her operations brought her across the Golden Realm and various kingdoms from The South to The Desert Lands. It taught her how to survive practically anywhere and use her surroundings to her advantage.
-High Qi Levels: Her upbringing allowed her to reach higher qi levels at a younger age. Her Qi level is Force Formation level 5, and she is currently working on a breakthrough to Power Formation level 1. She has been at Force Formation level 5 for 5 years.
-Artifact of Gulu: She can call upon the demonic spirit residing within her scythe to empower her and enter a combat state known as battle-form. Also, she can use the artifact to summon weaker spirits to assist her in combat.

Weakness:
-You can't even convince a Yes-man: Eubin's focus on martial skills has left her charisma skills wanting. It would be better to say that she has no persuasive or leadership skills at all. Her general emotionless mood and battle-craze alter-ego make it hard for her to charm, inspire, or command others. Some of her operations failed because she simply lacked the necessary empathy and emotions.
-Deal with the Devil: The artifact of Gulu grants Eubin immense strength at a cost. It can empower her abilities at the risk that she might enter berserk mode. In berserk mode, the artifact suppresses her personality to the point that she behaves animalistic and at the whims of the demonic spirit. It wouldn't be an understatement to call her a demonic beast when she is in this state. Furthermore, she would be able to use abilities above her Qi Levels in this state. This enhanced strength comes at a terrible cost as it can ruin her Qi foundations and reduce her levels permanently or burn her blood and shorten her lifespan. Additionally, the demonic spirit is constantly trying to possess her body, so strengthening the artifact will make it harder for her to resist the demon. She has been given three talismans that can restore her personality from berserk mode, activated once she is out of danger. The downside is that if she enters berserk mode and doesn't have any more talismans, it will be near impossible for her original personality to return. If that wasn't enough to dissuade someone from using the artifact's special abilities, each usage exhausts her. Let's say it takes her one hour to recover when she use one ability. If she uses the artifact's abilities three times, then her recovering time is three hours. The more she depends on the scythe, the longer she will have to recover from combat. Also, she is vulnerable in this state and can't use the artifact.
-Trail of Loose Ends: Her years as a contract killer/mercenary have left her countless enemies. She is wanted in every region of the Golden Realm except The East and The Ocean. The only reason why she isn't wanted in those regions is because of the lack of government control. However, this doesn't mean she is safe in these regions as she had made enemies with martial orders who send their disciples and elders after her to make her pay for her crimes. Furthermore, some grudges have government officials and nobles using the government's resources to hunt her down.
-Avatar of Gulu: Her cursed birth origin and her weapon's nature makes it hard for her to stay in one place for too long. For if she does, people follow their desires in extreme excess and to the detriment of themselves and others. This curse forced her and the Flower of Seven Sins to handpick her companions from strong-willed candidates. However, even this measure wouldn't work if Eubin wasn't constantly restraining her and the weapon's aura. It is a heavy mental drain on her and requires her to release the aura monthly in dangerous amounts. Usually, it would take someone a couple of months to be affected, but anyone in the surrounding area when she releases the aura will be affected in under a day.

Biography:
It is unclear where Eubin was born or who her birth parents were. However, it is stated that a local noble's soldiers discovered her when they went to investigate a village in The South. This village has stopped paying taxes to the local noble, and anyone who went to visit the village never came back. What the soldiers saw scarred them for life, and several soldiers retire shortly after the expedition. Everyone in the village was overindulging themselves in their desires. Doctors openly experimented and cut open living villagers in their pursuit of understanding the human body. Villagers openly accused and fought each other because they believed the other party was trying to steal their property. At the center of the debacle was a hideous makeshift house that looked like it might fall apart any second. The soldiers discover several villagers worshipping a newborn on an altar. Any attempts to remove this child result in the villagers growling at the soldiers. The captain withdrew the expedition due to increasingly hostile villagers gathering around them and that some of his soldiers were being affected.

The captain reported this to the lord would request aid from the Order of Heaven to help deal with the rebelling village. This move alerted one of the many spies for the Flower of Seven Sins, an assassination-focused martial order, who quickly move their agents to capture the child. They were able to complete the operation before the arrival of the Order of Heaven. The Order of Heaven was able to put down the rebellion. However, they were shocked to learn from one of the villager's journals that this child didn't even originate from the village. The villager believes that the child was supposed to be a curse from some surviving indigenous people.

The Flower of Seven Sins has been gathering children across Dalu for decades to find the avatars of the seven sins. Eubin was one of the three thousand they believed to be the avatar of Gulu. She was sent to the facility in the East, which had failed for three decades in trying to find an avatar. Each trainee would be assigned a caretaker who would see them from induction to graduation or death. The newborn trainees would be bathed in herbs and medicines to increase their combat and qi potential until they were six. Then, the caretaker would start their qi and combat training. The children would start to deathmatches around the age of eight. Once the numbers of trainees went below a certain threshold, the caretaker would begin instructing them in the art of contract killing and being mercenary. If the training camp couldn't find any avatars, they would raise the children to be assassins for the Flower of Seven Sins.

Eubin went through grueling training and was identified as an avatar when she was ten. The facility then dedicated most of its resources towards her, which alienated Eubin from the other trainees. The other trainees would gang up on her and bully her. It was around this time that the facility received the artifact of Gulu and gave it to her. The demon quickly went to work on Eubin and convinced her that it was her only friend. It would take only a couple of months for the facility to learn why avatars can't be raised along with other trainees. One day, the bullying went too far, and the demon took advantage of that. It promised her vengeance as long as she forfeits control of her body. This was the first time that Eubin entered berserk mode. She slaughtered over a hundred trainees and nearly fifty caretakers before her rampage stopped. The only reason why she snapped out of it was that she killed her caretaker or surrogate mother.

Eubin learned to fear the demon from this experience and closed off her emotions as a way to resist its temptations. She was the only trainee out of 150 surviving trainees to not have a caretaker present for graduation day. It was here that she received her ultimate contract to kill the demonic spirit inhabiting the artifact and absorb its qi. They are rumors that this contract was the same one that the previous avatar of Gulu received, and his spirit is the one inhabiting the weapon. It is unknown how long this practice existed or why the Flower of Seven Sins continue it.

Regardless of how she felt, the Flower of Seven Sins sent her to the Desert Lands to complete her first normal contract. This contract wouldn't be the last as Eubin completed over a thousand contracts in a decade. She would practice her Qi Formations during this time to strengthen herself as her contracts become more high profile and stronger. Near the end of the decade, the Flower of Seven Sins called her back from her operations to meet with The Demonic Sect. Her liaison said that the Flower of Seven Sins was looking to become an underling of the Demonic Sect in exchange for techniques that would empower their overall strength.

At the age of 23, she met with the other avatars and Flower of Seven Sins' head staff for the first time. They met with one of The Demonic Sect's Grand Elders. The elder satisfied with the avatars told Ming Fai, Flower of Seven Sins's leader, to accomplish his goals that they must find the relics of the immortals. The Demonic Sect had general ideas where these relics were, but the task required something that the avatars had. Furthermore, it wasn't even guaranteed that these relics existed or were still there. Even if they did exist, it was likely the Heavens made guardians to protect these relics. However, this tiny sliver of a chance was enough for Ming Fai to dedicate his martial order to The Demonic Sect.

Ming Fai dispatched the avatars to these rumored locations throughout Dalu. It is the reason why Eubin is currently in the Ocean trying to follow one of these rumors. It has been five years, and no additional clues have come up during that period. Despite this, Ming Fai instructs the avatars to keep looking.

Other Info:

Her years in The Ocean weren't a complete waste as she became a captain of a small ship. She used this ship to harass the Golden Realm's government's and merchant's vessels before capturing one of their military vessels as her flagship, Tempero. The Tempero is large enough to fit up to 150 men, but its crew numbers to 75. Eubin uses the remaining space for prisoners of war or additional loot. She utilizes her Flower of Seven Sins team to help her govern the ship.

To me, it seems all good (Apart from the fact you'll need to make some slight edits to confirm the app to the linearity of the Qi Formations), and if I was OP I'd probs accept...
Alas, I am not, so we'll have to wait for Sao Nova Europa...

(BTW, good app!)
(I am noticing that, in comparison to all of your apps, Tahiyyah is... Quite weak indeed LOL)
