Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi greeted Larina Perez, who would be representing Fierra's regime of Cuba. Despite there is a highly improbable chance of misfortune falling upon her, dozens upon dozens of Soviet Gendarmerie armed with WW2 M1 Garands outfitted with bayonets escorted the Chinese and Cuban parties all the way to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Given that the state of war that existed over East Asia, the miniature parade that wore the flags of Cuba side by side with the Soviet flag brought hundreds of onlookers as the sight proved to be a slight relief to the mundanities of war.

Rationing, recruitment posters, and daily propaganda messages spewed out all around Perez as civilians stop to look before security quickly redirected them back on doing their own usual routine. Looking at the edges of the city skylines, AA pieces decorated the tall skyscrapers, apartments, and open plazas occupied by the Army. Vanguardists, some as young as 12 to as old as 60, worked the spare grass fields, converting them into vegetable gardens to help feed the capital. Trucks bearing food and supplies were always swarmed by civilians these days as the Burma Road was expanding to increase land-based trade with the South Asian countries.

The massive building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs loomed over the convoy as it approached the main gates. A sizable conference room has been reserved in advance for the meeting with the Soviet Government providing numerous translators for Perez to use.

"Although this detente is coming in at an inconvenient time," Yi remarked, "Better to start now than forget later."

Spoken to the dissenters of Cuba's call for independence

The Chinese Soviet Republic wholeheartedly stands by the Cuban calls for independence and self-determination in the Caribbean. The world no longer accepts the existence of overseas empires. Decolonization as a whole, as a global movement, must be applied to all possible continents. Including regions such as Central America. And might I refute France's claims for postponing withdrawal? As far as I'm aware, isn't this the classic excuse for imperialist powers to continue their mandates? Blaming global instability to justify long regimes over the regions when the empires actually exacerbate global tensions? Has everyone forgotten India was promised independence for serving in WW1 but ended up gaining it until after WW2? History shows there was a 20-year window in which the UK could've honored that promise. And by your standards, Mr. Chairman, can you look to the Empress of India in the eye and tell her that her country was delayed getting independence because the WHOLE subcontinent was in anarchy? To the Representatives of the UN, this is the same France and Britain that wrote the Sykes-Picot Agreement that carved up the Middle East on artificial borders despite signing a treaty promising self-determination to the Arab tribes. To what extent do you honestly believe that these empires will not pull the same stunt on Cuba even after the United States recover?

Or perhaps the regions are getting destabilized precisely because the people are not getting independence from their overlords? Shall we ask the UN Representative of Ireland how his republic got its freedom? It is through years of merciless exploitation, social neglect, and heavy taxation without representation that are causing local rioting in the regions. And since stability is your "priority concern" in Britain's colonies in the Caribbean due to the war with the US, isn't it all the better to hand the territories to a third-party nation that is neutral in the whole conflict? Like Cuba? After all, I doubt the inhabitants wanted war with the US to begin with and so Cuba is in the right for pushing for rapid decolonization. This whole conflict is exactly why imperialism must end as it puts these people at risk; people that had no consent in their overlord's government and yet, forced to endure all the same. For all this talk of preserving the peace, France is doing a terrific job of doing absolutely nothing in forcing a meditation between the UK and the US. Instead, this Republic has decided to use this war as an opportunity to continue its own colonial adventures to save its dying empire. "Damn the colonies or damn our virtues," Robespierre said to his colleagues who were worried about the French revolution spreading to overseas French territories. Today, France chose the latter.

This sounds like a revelation to France, Britain, and the other colonial powers in existence, but there are people out there who honestly prefer freedom over security. Remember what I said in June? These nations that will be born from the colonies may not or will not achieve great power states like Germany and Italy nor will they be as rich as Switzerland and Ireland. And that's okay because their destiny is now in their hands rather than the hands of an oppressive regime that only care about its own international image. It doesn't matter if the land is on fire or not, to the people that loudly cry for liberation, it's their soil and their water and their air all the same and their problems to fix. What happened to the honor of a man taking responsibility for his own home and nation? It is an embarrassment that China, out of all the nations gathered here today, has to lecture you on integrity. What was that phrase in Britain's national anthem, Mr. Chairman? "Britannia will never be slaves?" That is highly ironic given that the UK has enslaved a quarter of the world to satisfy its own infinite ego. At least Americans know their limits.

And to the Mrs. Chairwoman also representing the UK, are you seriously blaming the native peoples for their own deaths at the hands of the colonial powers? Are you seriously blaming the countries for simply existing? Have you forgotten the Spanish-American War? The Age of Imperialism? Cuba got its independence because Spain was too incompetent at the time to effectively manage and govern its territories. The Cubans were neglected and abused by the colonial masters and could no longer associate themselves with Spain, their mother county, any longer.

And now that you have graciously brought up Hong Kong, let me also remind you that in June, we gave an ultimatum to withdraw Japanese troops from the port city. 24 hours for the UK to decide that Japan must conduct its war off of neutral territory. Keywords: neutral territory. There was no unprovoked war between China and the UK, it was preplanned Britain and the ultimatum was ultimately ignored. To suggest that the CSR started the whole war in East Asia is ridiculous as it was Japan that fired missiles upon the Chinese people. I repeat, the reason why Britain is in a state of belligerence with China is that Britain has knowingly sought out Japanese aid to protect the port city from an imaginary invasion. It's not so fictional now since you refused to have Japan withdraw its troops from your borders which forces China to acknowledge open hostilities between our two nations. We cut off the water supply in Hong Kong because why would we aid a foreign enemy? And you spoke of the meeting at the Geneva but China didn't receive a specific date. The only concrete reaction was a single fleet being stationed in Hong Kong which only tells us that Britain has no intention of returning to Hong Kong even though the Assembly has voted to recognize the application of the 1514 Resolution. The Treaty of Nanjing is null and void since then.

You can shift the blame all you want but it changes absolutely nothing of the reality before us. If you didn't want war, why did you allow Japanese and Vietnamese troops to guard Hong Kong despite the two are at war with us? And why did you garrison it with Royal Marines and a Fleet? Britain has brought this conflict upon itself. So no, China will not be withdrawing from Hong Kong. And your threats serve to prove Britain's inability to properly manage much less decolonize the Caribbean. All the money spent for this pointless war against China could've been used to expand the welfare for the people in the colonies but everyone here knows why the UK would never do it. The people aren't people to the throne, they're subjects that are meant to be exploited by the monopolies and oligarchs.

The UN has voted to bring decolonization to East Asia and the China will be the one to enforce it. And sure enough, Cuba and Colombia have China's permission to do the same in the Americas.

Megan stands ups to retort,"The Ambassador from the CSR accuses us of imperialism when they want to take over East Turkmenistan and Tibet when those countries clearly don't want to be apart of the CSR. If you truely want to know is that we brought democracy to an area of the world that was lacking in it. 15 years ago, we allowed the people of Hong Kong to choose their destiny. They were given the choice of stay apart of the UK, joining the CSR or full independence. We stepped back and let them choose their path. By a clear majority of 61%, they chose to remain apart of the UK. Many of you think we treat as mere colony when that is an absolute falsehood. They have accorded the same rights as those in the home islands. You and your government don't even care about the people. If any Chinese warship enters the Caribbean, they will be sunk on site. If Cuba or Columbia make any moves against British or any European owned islands in the Caribbean, it will be considered an act of war. I would like to thank the ambassador from France for supporting us as a thank you the many countries who also supported us. Remember that it was your military that attack one of our carriers and fortunately the ship did not sink. If the CSR does not stand down immediately then all ships carrying war material to the CSR will be seized or sunk. Even with War Communism, your resources are finite and will run out sooner or later with the RN and IJN blockading your coastline."

July 20, 2021; Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Román listened to the British representative, and he was appalled by what they said. He found offense that they basically said that colonialism had been a benefit to the Caribbean, which he couldn’t disagree with more than he did. An offended look came to his face as the British representative finished and the Chinese representative began. After the Chinese and British representatives finished, be began to speak, his voice rising as he went on and audibly full of passion and borderline rage.

“Did I just hear what I thought I heard? Did the British representative really have the audacity to paint the barbaric practice of colonialism as beneficial to the Caribbean?! MILLIONS around the world perished at the hands of the British Empire; Aborigines in Australia, Natives in Canada, the Indians, the Africans, the Irish, just to name a few. The BARBARIC treatment of these people was genocide in all but name, and the British ambassador dares to call it ‘beneficial’?! Outrageous! The sheer impudence! Try telling those people that were MURDERED at the hands of the British Empire that it was beneficial. They stole people from their homes in Africa, kill of natives on a colonized piece of land without batting an eye, committing cultural genocide on those that survived! Many of us defied this and made our own cultures, as you can see from the Rastafarian movement in Jamaica for example. The Caribbean is what it is today in spite of colonialism!

All of these excuses are a thinly veiled attempt to hide the obvious truth: Britain needs their colonies more than their colonies need them. Their self determination is a right, and the British SHAMELESSLY deny them that right. If they would simply wake up from their delusions that Britannia still rules the waves and agree to hold free democratic independence referendums, military action in the Caribbean wouldn’t be necessary. However, the British still refuse, as they show through their actions that they don’t care of the people living in their colonies in the Caribbean; only keeping them under their imperialism! And NO, Cuba will NOT back down. As the largest country in the Caribbean, we feel an obligation to fill a big brother role and stand up for the people’s right to self determination. We shall not until the people are finally free from their oppression, and able to determine their own destiny for THEMSELVES!

The Age of Empires is OVER! WAKE UP! Give the people an opportunity to make their own governments, make their own decisions. They currently do not have the luxury of living under a government thats made BY the people, OF the people, and FOR the people; only of an OUTDATED IMPERIALIST POWER! LONG OVERDUE FREEDOM must come to the Caribbean, and if the British can’t see it, or REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT, then they don’t deserve to rule over these people any longer.

July 22, 2020; Nanjing, Chinese Soviet Republic

“Yes, now is as good of a time as any,” Lareina said, looking at her surroundings. She was especially mesmerized by the Cuban flag flying alongside the Soviet flag, a sight rarely seen since Castro’s condemnation of the CSR, and the subsequent Sino-Cuban split. “I do thank you on behalf of my home country for your willingness to hold talks during these difficult and uncertain times.”

July 23, 2021; Havana, Cuba

The anti-Britain demonstrations from the day before returned, a bit larger than yesterday. The 2,500-strong crowd gathered outside the British Embassy in Havana once again, chanting the same chant as yesterday, although seemingly louder.

“¡Libertad para América Latina! ¡Libertad para el Caribe! ¡Libertad para todos! ¡Descolonización o quiebra!” (“freedom for Latin America! Freedom for the Caribbean! Freedom for all! Decolonization or bust!”)

As the day went on, more were attracted to the crowd, some joining in. By 2 pm, the crowd had grown to 3,000, steadily growing still. Within the crowd, some chanted, others held signs. One person in the crowd brought a British Union Jack flag, beginning to set it aflame. Others surrounded, some of them cheering on. Nearby local police again had no intention on intervening, as President Julio’s request still stood. For now, they only supervised.

Meanwhile, President Julio himself readied for a public press conference at the Presidential Residence. Reporters from news outlets around the world sat patiently in their seats, waiting for their chance to ask the President of the Third Republic of Cuba, who’s become quite the talk lately, long awaited questions. Just outside of the press room, he spoke to one of his aides.

“The question regarding our envoy to the UN’s actions is quite inevitable. How do we answer?,” asked the aide.

“We stand firmly by our actions. The people of the Caribbean have been subjugated for long enough,” replied Julio. “Now, if you’ll excuse me…”

With that, Julio turned, entering the press room, and as he did, some applauded his arrival. He walked up to the podium and began to speak.

“Good afternoon, everyone. I hope this wasn’t a bad time, with recent events. They’ve kept me up almost all night. Went through around 4 cups of coffee this morning alone,” Julio said a bit jokingly, scoring some chuckles from the crowd. “Anyway, you are all free to ask questions.”

July 19th, Amsterdam

The Colombian ambassador stood up, face flushed and lightly wobbling from side to side while gripping the podium. "No quarter for the imperialists! Down with the British colonialists! There is no freedom when London lords over the Caribbean and Hong Kong. There is no "democracy," when all you have is a choice between which old white colonialist will exploit you from London. This has gone on too long. No more waiting, no more excuses. Decolonization must happen now. Britain has the nerve, the nerve..."

The Colombian representative hesitated, and looked around. Suddenly, he pulled off his left boot, and slammed it into the podium. The assembly gasped as a visible crack formed on top of the podium. "The British threaten us, but we are the descendants of Bolívar. He swept the Spanish from our lands, and we shall sweep the British back to Europe. Every man, woman and child in Colombia is ready to meet the pig-dog British devils! If the British do not immediately begin decolonization, then they will have their war! The time is now! The oppressed shall rise and throw off their chains! Death to empire! Death to colonies! Death to Britain! Death to the Queen!"

"As God is my witness, as I am the son of Colombia, I swear that I shall not rest until la Patria Grande is liberated! ¡Viva la libertad! ¡La revolución ya está aquí! "

In Front of the Colombian and Cuban Embassies
London UK

From all across the UK, 10's of thousands of Pro Imperialist and Pro British protesters of various nationalities arrive in front of the Colombian and Cuban Embassies in London shouting various anti Colombian and anti Cuban slogans, singing songs praising the King and Great Britain and burning Colombian and Cuban flags. Riot police from London Metropolitan Police were there just in case the protests got out of hand though thankfully, they stayed peaceful.

In Cities and towns all across the British Empire

Anti Colombian and Anti Cuban protest sprung up as a result of the hatred towards the UK from the Colombian and Cuban Ambassadors to the UN

UN HQ
Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Megan begins laughing her ass off at the idiocy coming from these idiots mouths. She settled herself down before issueing a retort, "Apparently the Colombian Ambassador is drunk as a skunk so I will ignore the insult towards the Royal Family especially towards the Queen who sadly passed a few years back. May God Bless her Soul. Unless you have the means to take these islands away from British control then I suggest put up or shut up." Megan turns to the Cuban Ambassador, "Many of those territories you want us to give up were not even inhabited so why should we give those up plus those colonies as you put them have been given greater autonomy to control their own affairs plus they have given full representation in Parliament so you EVER accuse us of oppression again." She scans at the crowd looking at all the ambassadors, "While we have made mistakes in our past, the UK as come a long way since the 16th century. By order of the Prime Minister, full economic sanctions will be issued against both Gran Colombia and Cuba for their continued interference with the internal politics of the UK. I call on everyone to do the same."

Sucre, July 20th
"Magnificent performance from Rubén today in the General Assembly. Plenty of verve."
"The Brits really lost their mind after that. Exactly what we wanted. We will transfer Rubén to a less conspicuous posting."
"I suppose, we'll be wanting to impose retaliatory sanctions on them along with cutting diplomatic relations."
"No, no. We will humiliate them. We will apologize for Rubén, of course, and extend the olive branch. If they refuse, then they are the pig-headed ones. If they accept, well then, they'll have to back off their sanctions. They'll look indecisive. We win either way."

The government of the Federal States of Colombia has been made aware of a severe breach of decorum by the Ambassador of the Federal States of Colombia to the United Nations. The government would like to express its sincere apologies for the highly disrespectful behavior of the Colombian ambassador. They have been relieved of their duties and replaced. Their words in no way represent the official position of the Colombian government, which will continue to struggle for decolonization through peaceful and diplomatic means.

We call on Britain to announce their commitment to respectful international dialogue as well, and take concrete steps to ease tensions. With that in mind, we ask that Britain rescind their sanctions and previous threats of military intervention.

We ask that the Cuban government provide export subsidies or other incentives to ensure that prices for Gran Colombian companies purchasing Cuban nickel do not exceed the ruble equivalent of 13,000 pre-inflation USD per ton, and cobalt not more than 30,000. In exchange, we can guarantee 10,000 bbl/day of crude oil at prices not higher than the ruble equivalent of 35 pre-inflation USD per barrel.

Additionally, the Colombian government will soon begin its annual Santiago and Caza Grande military exercises, in southern Peru and eastern Bolivia respectively. We will be engaging in wargames and field maneuvers. We would welcome a delegation of Cuban observers, or even a Cuban military detachment to participate and share military knowledge.

An Imperial & Royal Dinner
July 1st

The Tsarina arrived for the state dinner with King Pavlos and his family around noon, local time, aboard her private Ilyushin Il-96-300PU. The extensively modified IL-96 allowed for all the functions of her office to be carried out when aboard along with having an extensive protection and sensor suite. Along with a direct interface command and control line with the rest of the Russian military including a direct encrypted link to the Stavka in Moscow. The plane itself was escorted by six Su-57's and two Su-35's. Providing a proverbial air show for Greek citizens far below watching all nine aircraft approach their destination landing terminals. The eight Russian war planes remaining airborne until the Empress' plane was taxied and in position to allow disembarkation. At which point the Russian planes would go down two at a time to land and prep for their eventual departure when the Tsarina herself would leave.

Ground security had already arrived well before the Empress was even in the air. Just like the Russian warplanes the Greek security services attending to King Pavlos would have closely communicated their own arrival. Coming in the form of an advance company of Imperial Guardsmen with full combat kit who secured the landing zone. Backed up by a Spetsnaz team in the counter-sniper capacity while IKGB operatives worked with the Greek security services for more subtle means of protection. Now, this might have seemed excessive to some. But with Russia technically at war and having to a take circuitous route around the warzone. Along with additional dangers of being at war could entail. Moscow had communicated extra precautions that the Greeks would have had to agree too if the Tsarina was to even enter Greek airspace. That being the security described above.

So when the Tsarina walked down from her aircraft flanked by her entourage of household attendants and bodyguards, twenty individuals in all, to be received by the Greek honor guard detail, there had already been various sweeps, communication checks, observations, and all manner of surveillance to ensure that nothing went so much as a flicker sideways.

The Empress herself was dressed rather conservatively. A simple white coat and shoes. Hair was pinned up in the back under a small short brimmed hat. More for fashion than functionality. Her white gloves clasping a small purse which in truth carried only a few items.

King Pavlos walked towards the landing zone, flanked on both sides by the Greek honor guard. The security was extremely tight, in order to ensure everything would go along smoothly. This was a historical visit, one that could afford no debacle. Only the best of the best of the Greek armed forces were assigned to security.

Accompanying King Pavlos were Prince Nikiphoros, eldest son of His Majesty King Pavlos, Prince Alexis, youngest brother of His Majesty King Pavlos, and Prince Constantinos, nephew of His Majesty King Pavlos. All of them were dressed with formal, stylish silk black suits. "On behalf of the people of Greece," King Pavlos said, "I welcome your Imperial Majesty to the Kingdom of Greece." The three accompanying Princes flashed their most charming smiles.

After the welcome in the landing zone, the entourage would head to the Royal Palace of Greece. The party would be held in the Grand Chamber. The floor there was a rare mosaic of marble and porphyry and alabaster, which gave it the glow of a rich painting. Priceless 18th and 19th century oil paintings were hanging on the walls. The dishes served would include fava (yellow split peas pureed), grilled octopus, grilled anchovy, saganaki (fried feta cheese), and wild vlita (purple amaranth) cooked in steam. As for drinking, the best wine from red grape - from the region of Macedonia - would be served. Classical music would accompany the banquet, performed by the Royal Orchestra of Greece.

The King hoped that the Tsarina would be impressed by the banquet. He also hoped to discuss the chance of a royal marriage between the Tsarina and one of the royal Princes. With the United States engulfed in internal turmoil, forging closer ties with Russia was becoming a priority for Greece. A royal marriage would signal the close ties between the two Orthodox powers.

- Alexis Patelis, Minister of Finance

The Minister of Finance, Alexis Patelis, stated in a press conference that his government signed the agreement for the transfer of Hellinikon SA to Lamda Development, which marks the start of the largest private investment in Greece. The Hellinikon urban redevelopment project will see the development of a Metropolitan Park that will easily rival London’s Hyde Park and New York City’s Central Park. In addition, a Marina, an Aquarium, an Athletics Precinct, cycling and walking paths exceeding 50km, an Observation Tower, facilities for environmental education, cultivated areas, a Sculpture Park, a multifunctional events center and free access to the beach will be some of the attractions that visitors will be able to enjoy once the project has been brought to completion. The project is expected to bring USD8bn of investment and create 75,000 long term jobs, adding 2% to Greece’s GDP.

"The Hellinikon Project," the Minister stated, "is the symbol of the new Greece. A Greece that enjoys the confidence of the markets, that has a growing economy and that attracts private investors. We now predict an annual economic growth of 4%. That is certainly positive and a sign that our pro-business reformist agenda is bringing results, but we can do even better. We want Greece to become a Tiger Economy. Investments like Hellinikon will make this dream a reality."

Walter E. Hoffman Federal Courthouse
Norfolk, Virginia
July 21st, 2021

The sidewalks flood with protesters that are barely held back and kept in line by the military personnel manning the barricades. The street has been closed by Major General Williams' forces in anticipation of this event. With hopes held high that it would show the visiting world leaders, as well as the faction leaders, that Williams has the nation under a relative sense of control and peace. World and Faction leaders arrive one by one. Each given police and military escort from the airport, all the way to the courthouse where the peace summit is held. They are directed through the front door of the building, many having to deal with shouts and thrown objects by the protesters. They are led into Courtroom one, where the summit is set to take place.

The courtroom has been clearly modified for the occasion. With the normal pews removed in favor of individual seats with tables. As well as a proper podium put at the front-center of the room. Another table with three chairs behind it is situated close to the left wall of the room behind the podium. There are a wide array of papers on this table. Dear Nikos Dendias, I find your message to be positive and excellent. While my government believes in the need for a mixed economy, it does respect the freedom of commerce as much as it supports a strong welfare state. It would be a big move to forge closer ties between our countries. My government thanks your government for being willing to invite Lim Guan Eng, our Minister of Finance, to your capital. I believe there is a need for a formal trade agreement that can facilitate commerce between our countries and even allow investment. We hope our ministers can meet soon to discuss such agreement. Also, good luck on the Hellinikon Project.

Sincerely, Vice President Mahathir Ibrahim

Dear Major General Williams, we would like to renew relations between our countries, now that Dolonescu is no longer in power. As such, my government will lift every sanction placed on your country, which includes giving diplomatic immunity back to US diplomats, allowing US commercial vessels to operate in Nusantaran waters and also allowing Nusantarans to invest in US companies. We hope the summit goes smoothly. Also, thanks for removing Dolonescu from power. Her rule has been very totalitarian lately.

Sincerely, Vice President Mahathir Ibrahim

The Constantinople diplomat, councilmen Yiorgos Papadopoulos would be ready to go to the meeting. He was quite calm with the army protecting the building, and he would walk into the building. He would look at the General, and would say, "Hello, I come from Constantinople. I hope to bring peace to the region of America." He would then take a sit at the table waiting for the others to come.

July 2nd, Imperial Confederation of India, Imperial Palace

“I would hardly ask you to come to the palace yourself for something as simple as an order for ships, Ambassador Kudashev.” Empress Amara said with a slight smile, taking a drink of the vodka. “I would also be interested in discussing economic deals that I think would be beneficial to both our nations.” She said, and over the next few hours she and her advisors spoke and exchanged ideas for deals and agreements.

Two things that were for sure agreed upon was a pipeline from Russia to India, going through Tibet and East Turkmenistan, as well as the idea of an economic bloc for a broad initiative of modernizing and expanding railroads, roads, and other infrastructure in that region of Asia, as well as easing the movement of currency. Also there were talks regarding both nations space programs, notably about the International Space Station now that NASA would be more or less non-funded thanks to the Second US Civil War, service and maintenance would fall primarily onto Russia and India, and it was well known that Empress Amara I had a keen interest in space and expanding the Indian space program.

After several hours, and scheduling further talks on the economic bloc, the Ambassador and his team would leave to report the talks to Moscow.

July 8th

July 8th would be a busy day for the upper echelons of the Indian government. The diplomatic corps was in the process of sending a request to Portugal for the return of Gao, long past due, as well as several other diplomatic missives.

To: The Protugese Government
From: Minister Shakti Nayar, Indian Foreign Service

On behalf of Her Imperial Majesty Amara I, I wish you well. This missive is the official request by Her Majesty, and all of India, for us to enter into talks with the aim of finally seeing Gao returned to proper Indian rule. Our nations have had good relations for many decades now, and we have great respect for the nation of Portugal, but Her Majesty feels it is now time to make India whole.

We greatly hope this can be solved peacefully and to both our nation's content.

A general message to the peoples of India in the United States

The tremendous upheaval in the United States is a shock for the world, and the attributes being committed are appalling. Her Imperial Majesty Amara Bhonsle I invites all persons of Indian descent to return home. We beseech you to find your nearest embassy or consulate, or otherwise make your way home.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs will take up the cost of relocation, and the task of welcoming you back into the fold here where you truly belong.

July 15

The acceptance of the proposals to Bangladesh and Nepal, as well as Bhutan requesting acceptance into the HEU had brought elation to not just the palace but to the people of India as a whole. Already committees and organizations were being established between the four nations, with India naturally taking the leading role in them, but not planning to dominate them to the detriment of the other member nations. Prosperous neighbors was a good thing for India, after all.

The seizure and cancellation of the deals made with the former President and government of the United States, some feared, would bring a dark cloud to the Empresses’ mood. Maya Panja, personal steward of the Empress, entered into the suite of the Empresses’ personal rooms. They were lavishly decorated, naturally, and Panja found the Empress eating breakfast. With a little degree of nervousness, Panja bowed before sitting at the table. Behind closed doors, with those close to her, Amara wasn’t as intent on formality.

“It must be something bad.” Amara said, reading a local newspaper and not looking at Maya. Maya was silent a moment, before handing over a folder. “There was a military coup in the United States. The military shipments we paid for were seized, and the sale of Alaska was declared void by one Major General Williams, the current acting head of the American government.” She said, giving a brief of what the papers in the folder said.

Amara opened the folder calmly and scanned the papers, speed-reading the handful of sheets. “Alaska was always a long shot, truth be told I just wanted to see how corrupt the American government had become. And it seems Major General Williams intends to give us the equipment, in time. How many of the funds for Alaska were already transferred?” Amara said, surprising Maya in how calm she was.

“Not many, but several billions of the initial agreement were already transferred.” Maya said, sliding another folder across the table, detailing the financial transactions. “We have obviously canceled the rest.”

Amara ‘hmm’ed, looking over all the details. “And former Speaker Patel?” She asked.

“Her and her family landed in Mumbai airport and then traveled to Gujarat, after filing an official request for an audience with you. Records show she has family there, and they are housing her and her family.” Panja said.

“But a surveillance team on her. I want us to be able to grab her at a moment's notice if I so decide.” Amara said, Maya nodding. “I’ll be responding to General Williams personally, so please meet me in my office in half an hour.” She said, dismissing Maya.

To: Major General Williams
From: Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Amara I of the Imperial Indian Confederation

Major General Williams,

I congratulate you on your coup, reports here say it was nearly bloodless which is quite the feat for this current bloody period of US history. There is no ill-will towards you for the revoking of the Alaska sale, I was personally surprised that the former president was quite that corrupt. However the initial monetary transactions had already occurred, the proof of which is included in this missive. Understandably we would like this returned, either directly or through some other means.

As for the military equipment sales, I am glad you will be honoring them in due time, though I admit annoyance at the delay, but I understand the situation in America is not one of stability and thus expedience is not expected.

If you wish to speak of these issues, you may send a representative, either the former ambassador if you trust him, or a new one, the appointment if up to you.

You may also be interested to know that former Speaker Patel and her family have made their way to India. I have her under surveillance.

Regards, Her Imperial Majesty Amara Bhonsle I

As well with this, and feeling comfortable with the formation of the HEU, and with the open rumors that Tibet and East Turkmenistan were interested in joining, it was decided to send both nations an open invitation to the economic union, along with some details of the India-Russian deal that would end up affecting both nations in a positive way.
To: The governments of Tibet and East Turkmenistan
From: Her Imperial Majesty Amara Bhonsle I

I wish to extend to both of your great nations an open invitation to join the Himilayin Economic Union, as I know both of your governments and people of your nations have expressed interest. Our neighbors in Pakistan and their loud-mouthed allies wish to say that this union is a way for India to engage in imperialism, and while India and my family have never been shy about our great ambitions, I can assure you that this union is in no such way a form of imperialism. More so it is a response to a world turned turbulent and volatile, from civil war in America to war in East Asia.

Attached to this missive are the preliminary deals between India and Russia that would positively affect both of your nations regardless of how they are implemented, but you will note that I have also included a list of conditions towards to members of the HEU, including labor recruitment from the smaller nations in the pact, and should your nations choose to join, extensive infrastructure projects in your nations as well, all paid for by India.

I do not wish to make you feel pressured into joining the HEU against your own wishes, but the invitation will be kept open, and should you accept, you will be warmly and openly received.

Utmost regards, Her Imperial Majesty Amara Bhonsle I

With the fleeing of mega-corporations from the US, the Indian Ministry of Finance and Development also prepared lucrative contracts for any internations business that wished to relocate to India, especially with the Third Sino-Japanese War severely disrupting the flow of production from China, India offered the next cheapest labor costs as well as these other lucrative projects. India was open for business.

Dresden, July 16th

The whirr of computer fans filled the otherwise silent and somewhat dark hall. The smooth action of robotic arms played out fairly silently, with only a slight whirr coming from the servos. From a balcony one story above the production hall floor, Merkel observed the robotic and monotonous action of the machines, occasionally asking questions about them.

"What does that machine do?" She asked, pointing to a large box-like machine that converted a section of the production line.

"That heat treats the metallic transistor components for greater material stability." Explained a factory employee.

"Ah." She said, perhaps feigning some curiosity.

After leaving the factory tour and giving a short speech in central Dresden regarding the economic future et al, she boarded her train back to Berlin. A fairly short train, it was painted in the typical DB color, red. Traveling quickly towards Berlin, Merkel used the train ride to catch up on work. First, she gave the letter from Japan a quick glance, and promptly grabbed it and crumpled it up, tossing summarily into the trash. There would be no reasoning with the ignorant. Sighing, Merkel rolled her eyes and moved on to the letter from China. It was short and quite predictable. Nothing too difficult to answer there.

There was a letter from the US. Of course, the Americans wanted to keep their nuclear weapons, a typical answer, practically expected. As much as Merkel would have wanted the weapons destroyed and turned into reactor fuel, she was willing to compromise, albeit it would mean the Americans having to make a concession of their own. And finally, there was the letter from Cuba. It actually wasn't a letter meant for Merkel, but she had been given a copy by the BND out of an abundance of caution. Sighing, she decided to start on the letters. There really wasn't time to waste on the train ride to Berlin.

Dear Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi,

I wholeheartedly understand your trepidations and your concerns about colonial powers acting as mediators. I can assure you the French will have no role in these talks. However, the Japanese have made it very clear that they mistrust anything to do with Germany or the denunciation of war crimes and the repudiation of past wrongs. Because of this, I will attempt to contact my Swiss counterpart and see if they will be willing to act as the mediator of the negotiations. Rest assured that German representatives will be present, merely the Swiss will be given the symbolic role of charging the talks. Is that agreeable with Chairman Xi? If not, I can attempt to find another nation willing and able to act as a neutral interlocutor.

Cordially,

Angela Merkel

Dear Major General Williams,

The transfer of the weapons can be arranged, but due to their sensitive nature, it must be done under the highest degree of secrecy and under very specific conditions to ensure the security of the weapons. I am no military expert, I never even served in the military. However, I do know that these weapons must not fall in the wrong hands, and hence, their transfer will only be done once the situation in the Americas has calmed down, and the threat of their misuse or disappearance has gone away. I hope you understand my concerns regarding the weapons. I have nothing against nuclear power, but nuclear weapons are a potent threat in the wrong hands, and 'I seek the mitigate that threat as much as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

July 20th

Christoph Heusgen watched the scene of calamity unfold. The British trying to mop up their mistakes while downplaying them, the Chinese making yet another long-winded speech, and the Cubans joining in with the Colombians to call for the long-overdue decolonization of the Americas. Heugesen didn't speak often. Well, not as often as the representatives of other major nations like the UK, and formerly the US. He mainly was more reserved, and more composed, a sort of elder statesman aurora surrounded him. Such petty, almost childish speeches were beneath him. But, he now felt it was time for the adult in the room to bring some silence, some control, and some restraint along with some dignity to what had become a glorified kindergarten.

He adjusted his tie and cleared his throat before slightly adjusting his glasses and taking a sip of water. Then, he drew a breath silently in before being his speech.

"Honorable members of the United Nation's General Assembly," Christoph Heusgen said in a clear and crisp voice that drew all attention to him. "Is it not the goal of this organization to bring peace and stability to the world? Is the charter of the United Nations not explicitly based on pacifism and humanism? The answer is yes. There was once a time this hallowed organization stood for human rights, human dignity, and peace. Alas, it doth seem those days have been replaced with what can be most aptly described as chambers full of childish quarrels that could be easily settled if we returned to the founding principles of this organization. That means above all maintaining a modicum of decorum and not resorting to yelling," He said as he glared at the Colombian ambassador, "acting like children," He said as this time he glared at the British ambassador, "and, letting due process occur." He emphasized as he glared at the Cuban ambassador.

"We must act like diplomats representing nations, and we must act like responsible adults. However, I do not seek to solely dwell on the appalling scene that I have just seen unfold. What I am most concerned about is the state of the world. Wars continue to rage, and nations still cling to dreams that died long ago. We have violated the post-war order of peace we were promised after WW2 with our won greed and selfishness. I strongly condemn countries for resorting to war and using military force as a tool of diplomacy. The war in Ukraine and the war in China must end through peaceful negotiations, immediately. There must be no strong-arming of participants in the talks, and there must be neutral foreign observers to ensure peace is achieved. The territorial sovereignty and the law of the United Nations must be respected in Ukraine and China. That may possibly mean a return to the status quo antebellum, or it may mean the changing of borders."

"Perhaps what most appeals me as a German, born in a generation following the most destructive war in human history, is the continued existence of colonies and the continued existence of regimes that should have ceased to exist long ago. Colonies are archaic, monetary drains, that cause more trouble than they are worth. I know what I have said has likely 'offended' some of you, but what I speak is the truth. How come Germany, for all its war devastation and its post-war suffering due to divisions and de-industrializations, became the largest economy in Europe baring Russia? Some may claim it was a skilled labor force, American aid, pure tenacity, or maybe a combination of the three. But the reality was, there was another factor at play. While other great European powers were forced to spend vast sums of money on their colonies either directly or indirectly, Germany could and did spend such money on itself. That money went on to fuel an economic miracle partly responsible for Europe's post-WW2 economic boom and consequently led to even the mighty UK getting lapped economically by Germany for the third time in the 20th century. It should be clear by now, that colonies, as much as they used to be in vogue, are liabilities and not meaningfully assets. Their utility has come and gone, their inhabitants are clearly yearning for independence. Why cannot countries accept that and move on? Why?"

"We need to move past an era of idealism, and begin to accept reality. What is most needed right now, is an era of realism, of brutal honesty. I seek to usher in such an era to reflect the true state of the world and not some fantasy we keep deluding ourselves with. Times have changed, they aren't changing, they already have changed. We must change with the times and accept reality, the old world order is dead, Santa Claus is dead. And in doing so, we must move on and usher in an era of cooperation and peace, not of war and violence. Ultimately, the longer we hold onto this sinking ship, the likelier we are of going down with it. Let us cut loose from this metaphorical ship, and in doing so accept reality."

"Thank you for your time."

Christoph Heusgen then took a sip of water and dabbed his forehead with his handkerchief. Hopefully, he had not caused any significant diplomatic damage, but one could never know how unreasonable and unpredictable world leaders would react to even the slightest possible change in the status quo that benefited them.

Megan sat back in her seat listening to what Germany's UN Ambassador was saying before standing up and pulled her smartphone out. She walked out of the door into the hallway outside the General Assembly chamber calling the Prime Minister who answered on the first ring, "Yes Megan, what can I do you?"

Megan rubbed left temple with her left hand thinking how stressful this job really is, "Well Mr. Prime Minister, this decolonization movement is really starting to move fast. I suggest we began pulling out of Africa before we get dragged into another bloody rebellion. As to our territories in the Americas, I suggest we grant Belize its independence while telling Colombia, Cuba and China shove it on our island territories."

Boris was looking out the window with his phone in his ear listening to his country's UN Ambassador speak, "Well Megan, I agree with you about Africa but we will be keeping Zanzibar as it is the Royal Navy's main Naval base in the Indian Ocean next to Diego Garcia. I also agree with you about our territories in the Americas. You have permission to announce this in front of the UNGA."

Megan smiled before thanking the Prime Minister and hung up. She walks back in with a smile and sees her German colleague finishing up so she stepped up to the podium, "Mr. Secretary-General, ladies and gentlemen of the General Assembly, I am here to announce that Great Britain will hereby be withdrawing from most of Africa except Zanzibar due to the presence of a major British military base on the island. We will assist each soon to former colony in the transition to an independent nation. All British military assets not on Zanzibar will transferred to our military bases on Malta,Cyprus, and Zanzibar. In the Americas, we will be withdrawing from Belize and also granting Belize its independence. The withdrawals will be done in phases and assistance will be given to the new governments." Megan looked Christoph Heusgen with a smile, "Thank you for your empassioned speech and no, you haven't offended me. In the petty dispute between the CSR and Great Britain, I would like to invite the UN Ambassadors to Russia, Germany, Nusantara and India to beginning of peace talks here in Amsterdam. I invite these four because I trust them 100% and they are neutral in this dispute. Thank you and Good day." She sat down and took a sip of water.

The Rzeszow Summit

The Ukrainian Delegation was the last to arrive to the summit, though barely as they arrived off the heels of the Russians. The Ambassadors to Poland and Russia, Andrii Deshchytsia and Volodymyr Yelchenko, headed the delegation. They were supported by a crew of 6 diplomats and analyst along with a representative from the military, Brigadier General Alexandria Retokiski of the 1st Tank Brigade.

No one spoke for several moments after the Russian delegation read out their opening terms. Finally, with a nod from Yelchenko, Ambassador Deshchystia began to speak.

"Members of the Russian and Polish delegations, in regards to the hostilities between the Russian Empire and Ukraine, Ukraine is willing to claim full responsibility for starting the war while under the administration of the Poltorak regime. Ukraine, in payment for the aggression showed by the Ukraine against Russia, Ukraine is willing to rescind all claim to the the land currently held by the rebel forces in the Donetsk and Luhansk and to recognize them as independent states. Further, Ukraine is willing to withdraw all claim to the Crimean peninsula and recognize it as a state of the Russian Empire. Finally, Ukraine is willing to pay a sum to the Empire, to be determined however upon the basis of negotiation and value of those assets lost by the Ukrainian state and military when compared to that by Russia."

The Ambassador then sat down and unconsciously rolled his neck. The Russian demands had been about what they had been suspecting, though Kiev hadn't expected the entirety of the east to be on the table. So instead of responding to the demands laid out by the Russians, he had laid out the prepared offer that Kiev and the Delegation and prepared. Now he looked at the polish delegation, waiting for them to speak on the matter.

It was a rough set of months for the Chinese Ambassador to the US, Cui Tainkai, as he went from being a diplomat to being a prisoner to being a diplomat once again. The only difference is that he is forced to attend the conference given the lack of alternatives. By far, Tainkai had the dourest and ill look of displeasure on his face given that China was invited by the La Riva, a communist warlord. In fact, no one in Nanjing was pleased as they were rather be invited by the Federal Government. But alas, such is life for the Ambassador as he sat down on his seat reluctantly at the Conference after greeting the General.

Nanjing July 22nd
The arranging of the detente was a very straightforward affair. It was simply the restoration of diplomatic ties and the opening of trade between the two countries. Castro may have concerns given the totalitarian nature of China but Dai Lai would simply not have cared either way. Indeed, the Chinese dictator didn't bother for a clever retort. And like now, despite the visual enthusiasm with all the flag-waving, Wang Yi had the vigor of a rotting tree trunk. He sometimes says "Yes" and sometimes he says "No" to the Cuban representative.

Difficult and uncertain times are an understatement given the great war in East Asia and Yi just wants to conclude the meeting already.

UN Assembly, Amsterdam

The UN Representative Zhang Jun spoke up once more after his German and British counterparts finished their speech.

"The Chinese Soviet Republic hereby rejects any movement towards peace in East Asia if the conference is hosted by absolutist monarchs. Perhaps I was not clear enough but there will be a continuation of the war against Japan, Britain, and Vietnam until China's natural borders are restored. If the United Kingdom wishes for a separate peace deal, China would accept if it's about their formal surrender of Hong Kong and the transfer of the port city to Chinese rule. Outside of that, the CSR will only accept republican nations to oversee the peace conferences. Russia and India are non-negotiable and Nusantara is a liability for their economic ties with Vietnam. Whether the Federation agrees with it or not, Nanjing sees no difference between an economic pact and a military one concerning ASEAN. Therefore, China can only accept Germany to oversee the peace conference that can occur here in Amsterdam."

Rzeczpospolita Polska

The Rzeszow Summit

"Now." The Polish President said. "With the opening statements from both parties concluded, let us work toward an acceptable middle-ground. Russia demands a transfer of all territories east of the Dniepr, it is our hope that the negotiations will strive for mutually acceptable settlement in order to guarantee long-term stability in Eastern Europe. We must stress that both the Ukrainian and the Russian side will need to make some concessions, which is a sign of willingness to reach peace and not in any way signs of weakness. Now, let us work towards that middle-ground which will let us live in peace, not ruins." Duda said and nodded to Waszczykowski.

"Indeed." The Polish Foreign Minister said and spoke up. "With Ukrainian willingness to recognize Crimea as part of the Russian Empire, there should be a re-opening of the North Crimean Canal which supplied the peninsula with the vast majority of it's fresh water. I will serve not only to ease the human and economic costs caused by the closing of the canal but be another strong sign of reconciliation replacing vengefulness. With the recognition of the Separatist Republics with their full oblast borders, would Russia be open to holding a referendum on their territories regarding their future? The options would be full independence from Ukraine, constitutional autonomy under Ukraine, full incorporation into Russia or constitutional autonomy under Russia. Now..." The Foreign Minister said before continuing. "Russia has demanded a steep price from Ukraine in terms of territory, indeed, so steep it can very well lead to embitterment in the coming years, not reconciliation. With Ukrainian admission of responsibility, we hope Russia, despite being the aggrieved party, will take a more conciliatory approach, one which takes local wishes into account. To this end, Poland proposes a compromise where a similar vote takes place in the Kharkiv Oblast as well under international observation. Could Ukraine find itself willing to accept such a vote? And could Russia see it's territorial demands scaled back?"

Policymakers at Work

A long history, of war and expansion, war and occupation, economic exploitation by foreign empires led to a great many persons identifying as Polish spread across the world. Only in the US, collapsing into anarchy, over ten million people identify as Polish-American to some degree. Some remained in territories once part of Poland, other left to seek a brighter, better life when our country went through periods of strife and instability. The status of Polish minorities has been in flux, depending on times, regions and host-countries. With the end of the Cold War and the memories of the horror of the Second World War, the globe hoped for peace, at least that another great conflict between great powers was a thing consigned to the dustbin of history. Yet reality has proven crueler to humanity. The Third Sino-Japanese War and the Collapse of the USA was, no doubt a rude awakening for many. With such a volatile global climate, it is the intent of the government to help the poles who find themselves feeling threatened, who live with the threat of war hanging above their heads, or with war already raging at their very doorstep to return to their ancestral homeland where they can be pursue life, love, happiness and prosperity feeling safe and secure in their own country. The government will work LOT Airlines and with it's embassies and consulates, primarily in Canada as the centers of the Polish-American community are in the Great Lakes regions of the US which would make Canada the primary destination of Polish-American refugees. It shall also work with it's embassies and consulates in Mexico and with Polonia community and cultural NGO's to offer a quick, expedient way to return for the Polonia from regions where it could be threatened. Persons of polish descent who are not citizens of Poland shall have the ability to apply for a Charter of Return. The Charter will be granted to people who do not have Polish citizenship or permission to reside in Poland who declare their belonging to the Polish Nation and meet the following requirements.

* Eligibility Requirements.
- The person proves his/her relationship with Polishness by displaying at least a basic knowledge of the Polish language, which shall be considered their native language, along with knowledge of cultivating Polish traditions and habits.
- The person submits a written declaration of belonging to the Polish Nation either in an embassy or consulate of the Republic of Poland or to an authorized employee of a Polish-diaspora organization involved in the program.
- The person either provides or points to proof that at least one of his/her parents or grandparents or two great-grandparents were of Polish nationality or held Polish citizenship.

* Charter Holder's Rights.
- The person is exempt from the obligation to have a work permit and residence permit normally required for foreigners.
- The person has the right to set up a company on the same basis as a citizen of Poland.

Megan sighed at the stubbornness of the Chinese Ambassador before activating her mic, "Mr. Ambassador, unless you want the Russians as enemies then I suggest you back away these plans for the CSR to invade its neighbors. Tibet, East Turkmenistan and Manchuria are all recognized as independent countries by the international community. As for your ad hominem attacks against Nusantara,India and Russia, I ask that you apologize as what you said was uncalled for. Your rejection of three of the countries is a sign that you do not wish for this "war" to end. My offer of peace talks with the previously mentioned Ambassadors is non negotiable so either take my offer or I will mention to Prime Minister Johnson that the CSR has rejected our offer of peace and will ask him to ask Parliament for an official declaration of war against the Chinese Soviet Republic for attack on British military assets in Hong Kong. While the UN supports you politically, I seriously doubt they would support your attack on Hong Kong but if they do support this attack then I will be certainly calling them hypocrites of the highest order. As to why we invited the Japanese to Hong Kong is because you constantly threatened to attack Hong Kong and it turns out that we were right to send the invitation. I am giving the chance to end this war if you would accept the offer of peace talks." Megan deactivated her mic.

The Rzeszow Summit

"Implying there'd be any ruins beyond Kiev," muttered Belisarion. The Russian ambassador gestured with his eyes to the General that now was not the time for his quips. Belisarion merely glanced away. It was clear to the General that he thought this was all smoke and mirrors. Politicking when he should be hoisting the Russian Flag over the Ukrainian government quarter in Kiev. The Russian Ambassador, The Russian Foreign Minister himself, Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov, looked at his counterparts politely.

"Russia is willing to agree to the re-opening of the canal and referendums for the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. However, I am not sure what international observers you infer. The UNSC and UN Assembly are both half-broken quagmires due to circumstantial events?"

Pausing for a moment Lavrov adjusted his papers, "Further, my government has been quite clear on the matter regarding the territories to the Eastern side of the Dnieper. Prime Minister Putin will not accept anything less than Kharkhiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. The last two pertaining to only land East of the Dnieper. This is the conciliatory offer. The other, which my Tsarina outlined, would be all territory currently occupied by Russian forces which more than those offered by our Prime Minister. We will accept nothing short of either."

The American Civil War Summit

The Russian Ambassador sent to the summit was Grigori Pusheyev. A relatively young ambassador at the age of thirty-five. The man arriving with a small staff of about a half dozen personnel from the Russian Foreign Ministry. Moving to their designated seats Pusheyev would give a small piece of rhetoric on how the United States has fragmented beyond reproach of many of its former states. That it best recognize the most stable, the Texan Republic and CCS, as independent nations; or at least allow self-determination if they would voluntarily rejoin with the United States government or not. Further, Pusheyev would request that if they would decide to be independent that individual States along geo-graphical and cultural lines be allowed to hold referendums on whether they would join either of the three nations. As a means of resolving long standing polarization of society.

The UN Assembly

The Russian delegation could barely contain their outrage at being singled out. The Empire having been a source of mediation and containment of East Asian rivalries for generations. When it was the Russian envoys turn to speak they merely gave a curt rebuttal to the Chinese that their requests for de-colonization flies in the face of their own imperialistic expansion policies. Not a proper speech but enough to get the point across. At which point the Russian envoy stated they would now veto any and all Chinese agenda items pertaining to De-Colonization and handover of Hong Kong as per their seat on the United Nation's Security Council.

A Royal Dinner

The Tsarina nodded to Pavlos, "Your hospitality is most gracious," returning the Princes' smiles to them along with curt nods. The Tsarina herself, an admirer of architecture, would remark to Pavlos about the materials used in the Grand Chamber. That they reminded her of the Romanov's palatial residences in the South of Russia.

"The warmth is similar. You and your family should visit me at Taganrog," she said. Before being seated and enjoying the delicious cuisine. Which, the Tsarina admittedly could tell was as much an ostentatious display as it was of Greek culinary art. Leaning over to the King the Tsarina spoke softly, "I thank you for your invitation. But I am aware of why I am here. This is not my first approach by a hopeful parent for a marriage arrangement. We will have much to discuss in a more private location." Returning her face to the others seated she smiled warmly, such that it could melt even the frostiest of Russian wintry glaciers.

The American Peace Summit

Once the ambassadors and representatives funneled into the courtroom, Major General Williams walked to the podium at the center and began. He is a gruff looking older man. One who clearly isn't meant for public speaking. But he has done more good with his action in the past month than anyone else has in America in years. And with that his words will carry more weight than most.

"Faction leaders, Ambassadors, and representatives of nations from around the world. Two hundred and fifty some ought years ago, men filled a Philadelphia courthouse, not too dissimilar to this one. And they came together to start a new nation. Today I'm gonna try and bring everyone in this room together to do just that once again. No one here, can pretend that the division created within America isn't beyond the boiling point. But I'll be damned if I let anyone tell me that it can't be fixed. I want to open today, by saying that my ultimate goal for this summit will be to reunify America. Even if it isn't is a form I recognize, America became the great nation that is was, together. And I think we can return to that. Changes need to be made for this to work. So with that, I'd like to invite every faction leader to the podium one at a time to express what they would ask of me and this new American government, in order to bring you back into this great nation. One last note, before I invite Governor Hyralez to the podium. Cascadia is not recognized as a legitimate faction by my government. They, and Commandant Pendergast, are terrorists of the highest order. And they will be dealt with as America has dealt with all terrorists of the past. Switfly, and without mercy.

Thank you. Governor Hyralez, you have the floor."

The Governor and Head of State to the United American States stands and walks to the podium. She looks over the crowd sternly, towering over many of them as a woman exceptional height.

"Thank you Major General. The United American States has begun already the very changes that I believe most citizens have desired to see occur within America for decades now. We have banned partisanship and political parties, to allow the wishes and beliefs of President Washington to live on in law. We have created restrictions on media, to prevent the oligarchic control and blatant manipulations of public opinion by corporate media sources. We have generated a new currency, backed by physical assets to protect its value. We have returned the power of governance to the states, rather than having so much of it be in favor of the federal government. We have begun to bolster industry, and prevent our business leaders from selling our nations workforce out to the lowest bidder. For this reason, The United American States requests that the United States of America, as well as all other factions that favor reunification, be absorbed into the UAS rather than back into the decayed USA.

Thank you."

Governor Hyralez steps down from the podium, President Smith of the CCS stepping up to speak next.

"Now there is one simple truth about the south. We do not like when people from the north, tell us what they think is best for us. I respect the work you have done Governor Hyralez. And I damn sure respect what you have done Major General. But the southern states conceded to the northern states once already. And it did not turn out well for us. Not one bit. So when you ask what it will take to get us to unify, I have only one thing to say. It will take money. And loads of it. The Constitutional Confederation of States needs two guarantees to agree to reunification. That a heavy investment will be made into the rebuilding of the region, including restitution for the horrific attack against Atlanta. The acting Mayor of Atlanta has asked me to give her regards as do to the continued situation, she cannot leave the city at this horrid time. The second thing we will need is a constitutional level promise, of a state veto. Like that of the United Nations Security council, if even one state legislature vetos a use of federal powers, the power is block full stop. With those guarantees in writing, only then can I go back to my governors and in good faith suggest that we reunify.

Thank you kindly."

President Hawk of Texas is next. Striding to the podium with an air of smug confidence.

"Ladies and Gentleman, I am here today to proclaim one thing. The Republic of Texas is an independent nation. Texas independence has been an issue and desire for Texans for as long as the territory has been inhabited. Now as for the states that chose to join the Republic, I cannot speak for them and would allow any of them that wish to reunify, do so through their state legislatures. But the State of Texas, can no longer agree to any form of reunification with America. With that said, Texas would prefer be open to a partnership of sorts. So instead of reunification, I propose a Cooperative body. Made of officials elected by the people of both nations, to negotiate trade deals and mediate disputes between Texas and America. I am proposing, that we go from one nation, under God, to two nations standing side by side.

Thank you, and God bless Texas."

Secretary General La Riva takes the podium next. Giving the room a rather stern stare as she begins to speak.

"America, is a wasteland of capitalist excess that has crumbled upon itself. California has no interest in Reunifying with America should they choose to continue their capitalist ways. A strong, socialist system, built on a humanitarian belief in the equality of all, is the ONLY way forward. Resistance to this is to spit in the face of equity for all people. The demands of California are clear, we shall join with a socialist nation. Until then our independence will forever be firm and unbreaking. California also has no interest in cooperation with a capitalist state. The aggressions and despicable acts of Cascadia are part in parcel with the mind set of ruinous capitalists. And I will place the blame on that failed ideology as much as I the degenerate Dolonescu administration."

La Riva steps off back to her seat, dismissing the other faction's leaders as she passes them. Major General Williams returns to the podium and sighs heavily.

"Thank you, factions leaders. I knew this would not be simple. But I think an agreement is possible here, if we are all willing to make concessions. As a show of good will and good faith, I will offer one up to each of you right now. To California, while I doubt you would have interest in the idea, a condition of your reunification could be that in your own self governance of your state, you may choose to continue your socialist agenda within those borders. For the CCS, a state veto of federal powers can be agreed upon. And for Texas, I am hoping to offer you the same as California, increased autonomy within the purview of a united nation. And as the ultimate concession, I think it would be in the best interest of all parties, factions, and otherwise, if I accept the offer of Governor Hyralez to allow her new federal system to absorb the United States Territory, on a condition of my own that we remain the United State of America, rather than the United American States."

A simple nod from Hyralez is enough to seal the verbal agreement for the continuation of the summit. Murmurs spread throughout the crowd as the Major General continues.

"I will maintain administrative control over the United States territory until such time that peaceful reunification can occur. But, at this time, I recognize Governor Carlita Hyralez as the President Elect of the United States of America. At this time I would like to open the floor to any ambassadors that wish to make their voices or opinion heard on the subject as it currently stands."

UN Headquarters, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Sathasivam Munnadurai, the Permanent Representative of Nusantara to the United Nations, was shocked by Zhang Jun's speech. He was horrid over how Zhang said that Nusantara is a liability simply due to having economic ties with Vietnam, despite the fact that both Nusantara and Vietnam are part of ASEAN. While he do agree with Germany overseeing a peace conference between China and its enemies, Sathasivam doesn't agree with Zhang calling Nusantara a "liability", since Nusantara has always been advocating for an end to the Third Sino-Japanese War, while ASEAN was formed to ensure stability and peace in Southeast Asia. After the Russian envoy finished speaking, Sathasivam stood up from his seat and began his own speech:

"Dear permanent representatives, the situation in East Asia is a tense and difficult one. There have been attempts at restoring peace in the region, but to no avail. My country has been advocating for peace in East Asia and begging all belligerents in the Third Sino-Japanese War to lay down their weapons. However, the recent speech by Zhang Jun is a controversial one I have ever heard. While Germany is a potential mediator in the conflict, I am shocked by how Zhang singled out my country, as well as Russia and India, in regards to the conflict. I am shocked by how he called my country a liability for having economic ties with Vietnam. He also said that Nanjing makes no difference between an economic pact and a military one in regards to ASEAN. Despite this regard, ASEAN is mostly an economic pact dedicated to upholding peace, stability, development and cooperation in Southeast Asia, while my government has always wanted to advocate for a peaceful end to the conflict. Besides, my country has also tried to keep Vietnam out of the conflict, while ethnic violence has allegedly broke out back home between the Chinese and Japanese communities. My country is not a liability, but a hope for peace in East Asia as it has always been neutral in the conflict. I would like to say that constitutional monarchs do exist. As for the speeches by Grigori Pavlovich and Megan McConnel, if it happens that Tibet, Manchuria and East Turkestan are indeed recognized by the international community as independent countries, then I may like for all of us to support the sovereignty of those countries in order to eradicate imperialism. On the other hand, I would thank Megan for inviting me and three other representatives to peace talks here in Amsterdam, as well as allowing Belize to be an independent country. As I have said, my country maintains neutrality in the Third Sino-Japanese War and wishes for an end to it. As for Zhang Jun, I wish he changes his mind as his speech may harm efforts to ensure peace and stability in Asia, as well as prompt Singapore to make a repercussive statement. I hope peace and stability can be achieved in East Asia quickly before war and instability further tears the whole region apart. Thank you all for listening to my speech."

After finishing his speech, Sathasivam sat back down on his seat.

Walter E. Hoffman Federal Courthouse, Norfolk, Virginia, USA
Tan Ming Kai (Chen Minkai), a member of the National Development Party (PPN), was sent to represent Nusantara in Norfolk, Virginia. He was a young Chinese MPA from Nagarilan (Negeri Sambilan) and once worked for UNICEF prior to joining the PPN. He was sent there instead of His Excellency Dato' Azmil bin Mohd Zabidi, the Nusantaran Ambassador to the United States of America, due to the latter being traumatized by the time spent at a CIA black site. Tan flew in an airplane from Singapore to an US airport in the East Coast, then took a long ride to Norfolk. Arriving there, he stepped out of a black car and walked towards the Walter E. Hoffman Federal Courthouse, where the summit will be held. He was accompanied by some officials from the Nusantaran Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DLK), as well as being escorted by police and military. They all made their way to the courthouse as protesters were raging from the sidewalks. After they entered the courthouse, they proceeded to the room where the summit is held. The American leaders were there first, followed by representatives from Constantinople, Russia and China. Tan and his delegation took seats in the courtroom. They all listened to speeches by the American leaders, then followed by Major General Williams appointing one of the leaders, Governor Carlita Hyralez, as the new US President. After Major General Williams finished his speech, Tan stood up as he prepared for his speech. He walked towards the podium and began the speech:

"Dear American leaders, my country is looking forward American reunification as it sees fit. However, I want to address the situation that had been devouring the US for months. For long, we have all seen a growing rift between right-wing politics and left-wing politics, which inevitably led to another rift as both the Horowitz and Dolonescu administrations had done nothing to heal that rift. Afterwards, the US began splitting apart and the latter administration began a series of authoritarian policies that have no regards for both political diversity and human rights. Once states seceded and the dollar collapsed, the US was in a devastating state of decay and even had to deal with diplomatic isolation as the UN suspended it. Now that the situation have moderately improved, I wish for a new US that upholds values, both new and old. As for Cascadia, that state is a disgrace that has no regards for human rights and should be stopped for the greater good. As for Texas and California, granting states autonomy is a significant idea. As for Governor Carlita Hyralez, we see forward her best to lead the US to a brighter future. As for the CCS, granting states veto power helps balance administration in the US. As for Nusantaran-American relations, every single sanction my country placed on America will be lifted and trade will resume. I hope the US is repaired on the long run, while those responsible for tearing it should be tried for their atrocious crimes. I also wish to see many diplomats, including Nusantaran ones, receive compensation for their terrible stay in CIA black sites. I look forward it. Thank you all."

Tan went back to his seat after completing his speech.

MINDANAO UNDER MARTIAL LAW TO COMBAT MARAWI TERRORISTS

The President Bongbong Marcos has signed Proclamation no.652 which imposes a state Martial Law on the whole island of Mindanao. This proclamation is in response to the recapture of Marawi by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, who aims to use the city as its headquarters in spreading its ideology across Mindanao.

"Due to the terrorism and lawlessness that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front have created, I have decided to exercise my powers given to me by the 1972 Constitution" Marcos stated while signing the Proclamation. "Under Article VII, Section IX of the Maharalikan Constitution, I suspend the writ of Habeas Corpus in the entire island of Mindanao." When asked why was it necessary to declare Martial Law, he gave this answer. "We simply must protect our countrymen. We need to save them from those radicals. We need to protect their friends and families from those scum."

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front is a splinter group from the now defunct Moro National Liberation Front which was a group who fought for a state for the Moros who claim to be oppressed despite the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. being fair to all Filipinos. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front has more extreme goals than their parent organization. They use terrorism to achieve their goal of an Islamic State encompassing the whole of Mindanao and some fight for integration with the Federation of Nusantra.

26 COMMUNISTS DEAD AT SKIRMISH

The communist New People's Army have skirmished with the Maharlikan Army at afternoon on the 24th of July. The skirmish lasted until sunset when the communists withdrew. The result of the skirmish leaves 26 communists dead. According to the Maharlikan Army, the communists killed a few of their soldiers but has refused to state an exact number in order to deny intel to the enemy. "We must withhold this information from the public in order to prevent them knowing the success of their attacks" the army spokesman stated. "This is for the success of the war."

The New People's Army is a communist rebel group headed by Jose Maria Sison, a former college professor at the University of the Philippines. They gained prominence following the 1st quarter storm that rocked Maharlika at the start of the second term of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and forced him to declare Martial Law. They seek to establish a communist state that will kill millions and leave the rest to starve. They have been gaining strength recently but is is still manageable according to the Maharlikan Armed Forces.

The Opposition grows

"The spirit of People Power is alive." This message by the Bagong UNIDO party wants to spread as we near the anniversary of Ninoy Aquino's unfortunate assassination. The opposition has been growing since his death and remains hopeful of restoring a democratic Philippines.

Bagong UNIDO is a new united opposition formed after the fall of the United Democratic Opposition or the Lumang UNIDO. Bagong UNIDO seeks to carry out an expanded manifesto based on the ideal of Ninoy Aquino that includes reinstating democracy, helping those affected by the 'Maharlikan' Debt Crisis, rooting out corruption, revitalising the economy, among others.

Only time will tell if they'll succeed.

STRANGE MILITARY ACTIVITY

Military trucks have been spotted carrying weapons toward an unknown location. The route they were taking had no known military bases. When a soldier was asked, he merely responded with "orders from General Enrile."

Walter E. Hoffman Federal Courthouse, Norfolk, Virginia, USA

When it appears as though no other diplomat is interested in speaking, Major General Williams returns to the podium.

"Thank you, distinguished ambassadors and guests of the United States. Your input and considerations shall be heavily weighed as we continue. With all of this said, I would like to present a formal proposal." A member of the Major General's staff steps up to the podium after leaving the table in the back where he and another staffer were writing notes of the meeting down. "A new bill of rights, in a sort. A series of concessions and agreements, codified into the United States constitution as amendments, designed to allow to the most peaceful reintegration as is possible. The twenty-eighth amendment, 'In order to protect the will of the people, from division of partisanship, political parties and organizations of any kind are barred from nominating candidates for elections of a federal office.' The twenty-ninth amendment, 'The right of states, by virtue of their legislature, to veto uses of federal powers, shall be honored without infringement.' The thirtieth amendment, 'The press, while free, in the efforts to protect the people from profit based manipulations, shall be required to act as non-profit entities in totality.' The thirty-first and final new amendment proposed at this time, 'Representation, being paramount to the health of our nation, shall have limits to terms of all federal offices. Individuals shall be afforded the ability to serve for a maximum of three terms or six years in total for the House of Representatives. And individuals shall be afforded the ability to serve for a maximum of two terms or twelve years in total for the Senate.'" the Major General pauses for a moment, looking over the amendments before looking out to the crowd. "I believe that we have much more to discuss, but I hope that this is a good enough start to be able to bring us together, and reunite under the American flag once again. I now welcome the faction leaders, that wish to reunify at this time, to return to the podium and add their signatures to this document." Major General Williams backs away from the podium, and stands with his hands at his side, somewhat solemnly, not expecting anyone more that Governor Hyralez to sign the document.

A long, tense moment passes. Carlita Hyralez is, of course, the first to take the podium. Standing up, and signing wordlessly for a moment. She looks out sternly at the crowd. "This is step one. A hundred more will have to be taken, And for the betterment of the people of the free world, I truly hope to see you all walking along side me on this path." She steps back down and returns to her see. Paul Smith, of the CCS stands up immediately after her. Much to the apparent shock of the Major General.

"Now I know my people won't be the happiest with me signing this. But I know they'll see reason. In the end, the Constitutional Confederation of States may be losing its independent status, but the history books will remember that we won this war. Our goals were met. And the evil that was the Dolonescu administration, was taken down. Thanks in large part to the Major General here. Sir, statues will bare your face, and they will stand beside General Washington in this nation for years to come. As no one but him has done more for this nation than you have." Smith signs the document, relinquishing his title as president of the CCS, and having the south rejoin the union. "America is stronger together. As long as those in power aren't tearing us apart." Paul Smith returns to his seat as well. The Major General stands there, waiting, and hoping for someone else to step up to the podium. but several minutes go by without President Hawk or Secretary General La Riva standing. They both discuss and argue things with their staff, which gives him hope that one may stand. But after a certain period, the Major General begins to walk up to the podium once more. Resigned to the current status of the reunification.

"I am pleased to see the UAS and CCS agree to unify. With no further signatories, I will now have these copied and sent to every state legislature of the reunified United States of America, as well as the states of the Republic of Texas, and the Socialist Republic of California, for those individual states that wish to ratify the amended constitution on their own. With that, I hereby call this summit to a close. Thank you all for your participation, and unbiased oversight. And may God Bless America." Major General Williams bangs the gavel onto the podium and marks the end of the summit there. Within a day copies of the amended constitution are sent to every state legislature in the union to vote on ratification. With that conflict settled, for now, concern of the Major General and President Elect Hyralez, turns to Cascadia and their radicalized forces.
