Made a short post, because I'm not getting involved in the war and I really don't have much to write about.

I’m like 103% sure I’ve stated Russia didn’t support Japan. Idk why you keep making up lore that has already been stated as not true. Russia also invaded Japanese Manchuria like the Soviet’s did OTL. Japan got it worse, just wasn’t nuked, and managed to keep some bits of its empire.

My point still stands. Even if Russia didn't support Japan directly. It certainly supported it in other ways by allowing Japan to keep the Chineae territories as well as Manchuria remaining in the Co Prosperity Sphere despite being invaded by Russia. Japan got off easy because it wasn't nuked and allowed to keep its empire.

I'm the only one that suffered the most out of that. At least the Korean peninsula is united, unlike China.

I've already stated weeks ago that what you're saying never canonically happened. Imperial Russia did still trade with Japan until February of 1943 when the US entered the war against Japan. But that is no different than the US selling Japan oil until 1941 OTL. That is not 'supporting Japan'. Russia was trading, not giving it away with the explicit purpose of 'supporting the Japanese war effort.'

Further, Japan did CANONICALLY get rocked harder. Period. Why? Because the Allies did actually invade Japan itself on top of firebombing its cities. How else did over a million Americans die in the Pacific War? Certainly not on Pacific Islands or the Philippines. Meaning there had to be a major land theatre aka Japan itself. This also means Japanese losses were probably higher than OTL and the reason it managed to keep parts of its Empire was merely to save lives on either side by ending the war. Also, much like OTL, the Japanese would have been batshit terrified of the Russians setting foot on Japanese soil after annihilating the largest, best equipped, Japanese army in five days flat. Again, much like OTL. Then threatening to enter Korea and then leap frog into the Japanese Home Islands which would have been already host to Allies vs Japanese forces duking it out.

So no, it wasn't let off easy. It merely managed to survive with the scraps of its empire. Further, the nukes weren't even what made Japan surrender in the first place IRL. After the nukes dropped the Japanese were still determined to call the American bluff and wage a last ditch all or nothing fatalistic defense of the Home Islands. It wasn't until the Red Army obliterated its way to Korea and the threat of the Red Army possibly also making landfall that convinced the Japanese leadership to surrender. Why? Probably because they had heard how the Red Army got revenge on the Germans and didn't want the Imperial Family to get executed by the Soviets if they managed to capture them.

Second the nukes didn't do all that much damage long term. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were already fully re-inhabited and mostly rebuilt five years later. By the late 1950s there wasn't really any trace of two nukes being dropped on Japan at all in terms of geography or urban settlement.

Further, while Manchuria was in the Co-Prosperity Sphere it was not subservient to Japan in any capacity. The CPS is just an economic bloc hosted by Japan. It has zero actual authority or temporal power over Manchuria or the Manchurian states policy making.

A sizeable portion of these equipment are going straight to my coastal defense forces and airforce. Because I was stupid and made them too large and with hardly any equipment. They are definitely getting at least one or two armored and mechanized divisions.
