I'm pretty sure that it would all be pretty boring if we only allowed things to stay the way it was IRL, so alt is fine...

But, I suppose you do have a point... Crimetopolis, there is a difference between a good alt-history, and doing something that would seem pretty unbelievable.
Plus, we can't be changing the events of a country BEFORE 1910, when the RP had started. There will be opportunities to gain independence or more self-autonomy from the United Kingdom as the RP goes on, no need to rush you know?
