Its still open if I remember correctly. We could use a Spain as I want to do some border skirmishes on my Southern border.

It is, if you want to take over France, thats open, as well as anything not in the roster

I'd be thrilled to take over the running of France, I've not participated in many non-region RPs but I believe I'll be able to do so effectively. Would it be possible to take over from the point of Napoleon's return to France in March 1799 according to the timeline we have going? I'm all caught up on the OOC and IC threads, and would be able to get a post out today including the response to Sardinia.

Great, it seems like we've got a potentially really good RP, well it's already good from what I've seen! I do hope we can get a Spanish and Dutch player in soon, and it seems that events in Italy could soon pick up especially. Could you clarify on if the coup making Napoleon First Consul has happened, as I'm not sure if I've understood that from earlier in this thread.

Seeing as Napoleon was defeated in January in Egypt, I assume it's okay to proceed with Napoleon withdrawing to France to be there probably by late February, seeing as in OTL he travelled there in 41 days, and that'd get France's posts up to date with the other nations?

If you're particularly enthusiastic about getting involved, Spain is open, and would be a great one- not only have you got events in Europe to manage, but you've got an antagonistic independent Mexico to potentially confront as well! Other than them I can only think of smaller German states you might want to play as, like Westphalia for instance.

Mexico will be antagonistic to any nation that is allied to Spain.

That's completely understandable, but do realise if Mexico is intent on a pro-revolutionary stance against the European colonial powers she'll be upsetting France, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Great Britain simultaneously, at the same time potentially upsetting the United States which presumably wants the freedom to manage its relations peacefully. With such a situation, trade would be limited for Mexico, meaning it has to sustain itself more so than otherwise.

I assume everyone's still happy to continue with the IC, I'm really excited for it. If anyone wants to arrange specific arcs or otherwise discuss things, obviously we can use the OOC but if you want to reach out to me personally by telegram that is also cool!
