The year is 2087, and man has conquered the last frontier, with the invention of the hyperburst FTL travel system, the forces of earth traveled through their stars, crushing less advanced species under their mighty dreadnaughts. That was 20 years ago, now- governments and faction rules over planets and artificial space stations, trade and blockades, war and peace. But if the average space travels beyond the borders of these nations and factions he/she would exposed to a more...unconventional sector of civilized space, the outer rim. A ring of 'unclaimed' space that surrounds the posh hive-cities of Mars and the toxic atmosphere of paradise worlds-turned-factories, the outer rim is where the corporations and other esteemed business institutions gather, they wage war, they build colonies, but most importantly- they harvest resources. United Titanium Works Co. (UTWc) is one of those corporations, holding a decent amount of colonies, working away at harvesting iron and other minerals and resources for the growth of their corporation, and their fleets pf agile destroyers and might battleships sailing through the void, expanding into the very outer reaches of the quadrant, until they discover the planet that will seal UTW's future
It was a perfect planet, a paradise, they call it, the only one in the system, beautiful yellow dwarf sun, a moon seeming attracted to the planet just by it' looks, the fleet lands on the planet, and establishes the colony of Santa pierra, and naming the planet Gaius. Two years later, UTW's other mining planets were running low on natural resources to mine, and it was decided A prospecting ship will head to Gaius and scan for any resources located there, the ship arrived at orbit, scanned the surface, and found a jackpot of minerals below the surface of Gaius, after recieving the news, corporate quickly decided to designate Santa pierra as a mining colony, and became one of the top exporters of natural resources to UTW.
However, things were not as happy and raises as it seemed to corporate, as mining on Gaius proved to be difficult (as the ore and such was positioned ver deep into the crust), and deadly (as tunnels frequently run the risk of collapsing), And after a large tunnel collapse that killed a considerable number of miners, the people decided that it would be better to rule the planet on their own, and overpowered the underequipped and understaffed Defense force guarding (now a city) Santa pierra, UTW' security forces from other sectors of their territory would be responded to the coup, but with UTW on the brink of war agianst neighbouring corporations, they were ordered to hold, leaving the planet in it's own devices, the system under a quarantine, and UTE being forced to look for other planets rich in minerals.
Five years later, after a cold war and the eventual dissolution of UTW' srivals, corporate was consolidating their assets, reviewing what they had left after the struggle between the two powers, when the word Santa Pierra popped up on the Board of director's radar. Apparently- during these past years, Gaius was under the rule of a isolationist dictator who calls himself "the director" a few days ago, rumor began to spread that the director has perished, and Gaius, including the megacity of Santa pierra- was in turmoil.
This was a good opportunity to retake the planet, they needed a extra mining colony or two nowadays, but corporate still needed their fleets to reinforce security forces in their other resource processing plants and mining colonies to in another sector of their territory, and so- the desicion was made, the majority of UTW security fleets will be heading towards the colonies awaiting reinforcement, and a small carrier battlegroup will wait at port for 'special assistance', Mercanaries.
These people always serve the highest bidder, and with the Director imposing economicly regressive policies, Gaius was under no position to contract mercaney groups to fight, UTW took advantage of that, and began recruiting ragtag and organized groups of mercenaries, young or old, big or small, rookie to veteran- to come foward, join the fleet, and get rich, and many mercenaries, some commanding destroyers, some fighter squadrons, some marines, answered the call, and rallied at the battkegroup's position, and now, under the carrier flagship Ennis, the pilots onboard both security force and contracted, prepares for battle. Some of those pilots are of the 15th merchantile attack squadron, squadron name: "Excalibur", and they were offered a document, whose name will other ring in the bells of history in the years to come, or become a obscure piece of garbage that nobody really cares about, this document's name....

Lighter and more agile aircraft like the HsHM-5 is light armed and armored with no countermeasures, but their high speed and maneuverability, along with their capability of performing PSM (Post Stall Manuvers) makes them able to doge missles and evade a enemy lock.
For a more Flexible aircraft, Mutirole fighters like the AdF-15 and HCMA-08 are well-rounded, but capable aircraft, equipped with countermeasure dispenser, they are able to deny the enemy of their fire-and-forget strategy, and the AdF-15 with their on-board radar jammer, that fires off a pulse ofable to scramble any attempts of a radar lock on her, temporarily (15secs) immune to radar locks, with a recharging cycle of 5 minutes.
But if you want to bring the heat, The more heavier HCG-1 and DaaK-10 has enough armor and weapons to obliterate a small village, at the expense of your maneuverability and speed, The HCG-1 is equipped with emergency afterburners to temporarily increase your speed, and the DaaK-10 is equipped with your standard countermeasures.
Other, more interesting fighters, such as the HaLD-8 and the MRSI-29, use special technology to their advantage, The HaLD-8's more advanced radar jammers allows him to be hard to detect at medium-to-low altitudes, and the MRSI's interdiction pulse has a special avionics installed on the aircraft' nose, this will fire a pulse that somehow decreases the target's maneuverability and speed, making them easier to hit, but it can only be used once per sortie.
Note that you will only have ONE Starter tier aircraft and cannot acquire more for the duration of the RP
