You'd command the NPCs under you so depends if you want to be in charge of NPCs or not? If so then a Captain would work. If not then a corporal would also suffice.

Alright sweet, Charlie company. What platoon are they the Charlie squad of? Platoons 1-3 all would have Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Squads.

I don't recall you ever mentioning anything about Alpha. Only Bravo (back up Charlie) and Charlie (bust some drug dealers).

Edit: Only mention of alpha in the IC is of point Alpha (vertical poppy farm) and the Sirius destroyer.

No need for retconning I think there is just some confusion or misunderstanding.

A company is about a hundred men, a company is split into platoons of 25-40 men which are then split into squads. I’m simply asking which company and platoon your squad is in.

Generally the squads in a platoon are organized by purpose. So while all Marines are at their basic level trained riflemen, their squads are organized by their purpose in-field. Generally a 3 squad structure will be 2 Rifle Squads and 1 Support/weaponry squad that likely also has the platoon commander unless they have their own separate command squad (which usually a separate command squad is something the Company commander has).

Rifle Squads in the modern context are not so much literal anymore. Most soldiers will be carrying automatic weapons (assault rifles, battle rifles, and sometimes the best shot in the squad will be the designated marksman who usually carries an automatic weapon or a full-powered rifle). Given the fictional environment of a space station on an asteroid long arms may be cumbersome. So the 'Rifle Squads' will generally carry smaller short barrel or carbine weapons. Usually there is also a Marine having a more powerful squad support weapon like an Light Machine Gun (LMG) for additional tactical purposes.

The support/weapons squad will generally field the more powerful specialist weapons. Either operating in detachments in support of the other two squads or as a cohesive separate unit going where needed. This squad will have any Heavy Machine Guns (HMGs), anti-vehicular weapons, breaching ordinance, cutting tools, anything the regular squads would be to encumbered to carry into wherever they're expected to go.

Family: Father Oliver Wallin (deceased 2330), Mother Katarina Wallin

Biography: Born during the tumultuous years of the Great Colonial War, Lucas was a long-waited child for his upper middle-class parents, Katarina and Oliver. Though he doesn’t remember much of the war, having been only six when it came to an end, he does remember the lack of smiling faces from his early years. What he did gain from the grim years at war, was a love for sports as often, for one reason or another, sports and competitions were the only way to pass time.

Despite the tough rebuilding process Earth had to go through, his well-educated parents were able to pull some strings and get their only child to good schools. In them Lucas found initially little success, being more interested in sports than studying. Still, he managed to push through, driven by the small sparks of joy good grades seemed to spark in his otherwise so distant parents. Slowly the ever-present search for this spark led to him turning his school career around, bit by bit rising to the highest quarter of students. For a precarious moment all seemed to go well for Lucas as his athleticism ensured his popularity at school, why in accordance to his parents’ wishes advanced towards an academic career. A devastating blow struck his family right after he finished high school when his father died of complications caused by exposure to radioactive dust in the aftermath of the Nuclear Strikes upon Earth.

This resulted in rather significant soul searching in college, which finally culminated when a doctor diagnosed that complications from exposure to radiation would, in time, ne the likely cause of his death far before he reached the average age of death. This phased him out of going after an academic career like his parents before him. Hoping to live to the fullest and achieve something real he opted to join the CMC right out of college.Though the change to a military life was a shocking one, Lucas adapted quickly, being determined to see his choice through. This same determination stayed for his whole time as a cadet, making sure he never lost sight of his goals or forgot why he had come there, no matter how hard his body ached and mind pained due to lack of sleep.

Hey Revlona, couple of questions for you about the marines:

1a. You mention that Andrew has with him an SMG that had been issued for the marines for today's mission. Does this mean that most marines have these for this mission instead of say Assault Rifles?
1b. Do the marines of the 83rd have specific weapons assigned to them which they then carry most of the or are they always assigned weapons depending on the mission?

2. Did you have something specific in mind for Bravo company when you said that they'd cover Charlie? Is it ok if i write my platoon of Bravo to secure places to put confiscated contraband, possible detained persons and wounded to?
