Also Day I just realised you and I are using identical weapon setups outside of the barrel length.

However wouldn't it be odd for a person to just suddenly swap from a weapon they are used to?

I mean it depends on availability and purpose. HK417 are expensive rifles and it's not much different from other AR-10 like platforms.

Apparently reading that a modded SCAR-H is used too so gonna go with that.

Not that it's a bad thing of course, it's a pretty aesthetically pleasing rifle build if I do say so myself.

Sometimes, you just wanna try something different. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

The SCAR is still a pretty costly rifle. If I were a PMC in real life in the market for a marksman rifle that shoots 7.62 NATO I'd probably be looking at the Sig 716 since you can find them for under $2000 USD on the civilian market. And the price will only get lower since they've seen mass adoption from the Indian Army so they're being produced in larger volumes than something like a HK417 or SCAR. Controls would be 100% identical to the HK417 since they're both piston operated AR variants.

And philosophy definitely works with guns like "don't shoot people"

Yeah it's a pretty sweet build. Gonna add on them backups for the sake of it now.

The 716 variant works as a rifle

Quick question while I brainstorm my post. Do we have an arms locker area or do we do this field style? As in weapons are on or near us at all times.

Probably some sort of locking rack on your bunk, although you would be encouraged to carry it on sight, or to at least be wearing a sidearm at all times excluding sleep.

It's fresh; I mean, it's food for character-building and keeping things active. I don't want anyone to feel left out, and it doesn't hurt to get some light RP in while we build up to the first mission.

Not really. Just grew up with some German around the house, and picked up bits and pieces of other languages with the Marines. Why?

Nothing special, really. It’s interesting to see an outside perspective on bilingualism.

She was fearless even at a young age, and wasn't one to shy away from a challenge. This translated well to the military after she got done with school. She enlisted immediately into the Russian Armed Forces as infantry and saw deployments in Chechnya and Dagestan. She excelled at close-quarters fighting and was often made the pointman because of it. Verinka made a name for herself during her tours and eventually was given the opportunity to join the Airborne, which she took up immediately. She served well with the VDV during the years 2014-2015 and left active service two years later after she started butting heads with her higher ups. Eventually, after so many dead-end jobs and a lack of excitement, she became a contractor for Samael and started getting back into her old self again.

  • ROLE: Grunt
  • BIOGRAPHY:

  • Born on 1991 in Aberdeen, Josephine lived in a harmonic and well-off life. Her father was the Deputy Commissioner on the Operations side, of the Hong Kong Police Force. Josephine is the third child and the youngest, with two elder brothers. The life was rather uneventful-ish, in spite of her father's position and the political landscape of Hong Kong between pre-British status and post-British status. She grew up just fine, a good student and all that status as the daughter of Deputy Commissioner. Still, her life took a turn for the worse not long after she graduated from junior high part of her school. Her first elder brother was a police officer, part of HKPD. A clash between her brother, his unit, and other police squad, with Triad ended up in many, many casualties. Her brother died in the hospital after a grueling 3 days.

Ever since that, her father commissioned high protection details for all of his family members. Long enjoyed her independence with half of the level of that protection detail, it's beginning to take a toll on her life. She felt restrictions and she began to argued with her now-retired father over this. It's continued, and continued. Her father, feared of the similar incident that costed his son's life, was not budged with her argument. Her second elder brother took comfort with the detail, though since now he lived in Shanghai as a businessman, it didn't concerned him as much as it is to his sister. In an act against her father's decision, after getting Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, she enlisted into Hong Kong Police Training School. Her father argued angrily over this, and was hurt emotionally in the process. Shortly before she finished the education, her parents cut her off from their family. She felt hurt as well, but nevertheless resolved to continue as police officer.

She spent the next 4 years in HKPD, and then after an 11 day-selection course and the next 9-months of special training, she managed to entered SDU as the first female officer in SDU. Her father knew of this decision, and it was almost the straw that broke the camel's back. The next 5 years was spent inside the SDU, actively and passively involved in multiple small-scale SDU operations within the Hong Kong boundaries. The straw that broke the camel's back happened during a televised stand-off in Hong Kong, as a group of criminals broke in a bank and held hostages. A 12-hours stand-off emerged and when the SDU units broke through the bank to rescue the hostages, a firefight ensued. She was injured, lightly, but all the robbers were killed in the ensuing firefight. Her squadmates injured worse, severely from grenades.

This broke the camel's back, and her father utilized his connections in HKPD to put Josephine in a reserve duty inside SDU. Angered with this decision, Josephine resigned from HKPD. Luckily for her, her team leader offered her a place of opportunity, perhaps also to proved to her father and for her financial security. She applied to Samael and was approved. For the next 2 years, she experienced operations like running protection details for celebrities in South Korea, escorting NGO in Venezuela, running an individual protection details in Thailand, mostly protection details.

She was given her next assignment in Peru after her latest job in Greenland...

Daddy and granddaddy were Marshalls hunting down cartels and other drug runners. Grandaddy's Grandaddy hunting the likes of Butch Cassidy and Bill Doolan, Their grandaddy... well you get the picture by now. Needless to say, I was drawn in by the family mythos. Most of my time out of school was spent either helping out at the sheriff's office where my mom worked or out at my grandparents ranch.

I joined the US Marshals right out of college. I might have been able to rise through the ranks, but I was perfectly happy staying at the grunt level where the real work wasn't buried by the paperwork. I did find time to join the Special Operations Group though. It was rewarding work, putting people who deserved to be behind bars where they belonged. At least it was until a couple years ago.

We suddenly started getting tasked with helping ICE round up illegal immigrants. Now, I signed up to go after real bastards. Murderers, Rapist, those sick assholes from the cartels that Mexico wanted skinned and hung on a wall, I was all for that. This wasn't that though, this was locking up families whose only crime was climbing a goddamn fence. My dad always said we all have to find we're not willing to cross, and that was mine. I resigned a couple months later.

A friend of mine, introduced me to Samael not even a month later. While I was a little anxious about working for a PMC after first, I can't exactly say it was a decision I regretted since doing what I love. Finding the worst of the worst and putting them in really dark holes for really long times."
