  • BIOGRAPHY:
Stephan was born in Moscow to a military family, he was pushed into joining the Red Army straight out of high school but opted to go for an engineering degree at the Moscow State University. He was always an avid outdoorsman like his father, learning how to fire a gun since very young, he showed a keen interest in survival and exploration and showed little fear in the face of dangers. Once finishing his studies he joined the Russian military in the early years of the century and his innate survival abilities and lack of fears prompted his superiors to nominate him to the Russian Special forces.

Stephan took his opportunity in stride and managed to pass the challenging training to become part of a new generation of Russian special forces. He served first in the homeland, fighting in the Chennyan provinces against the terrorists who wanted to harm his fellow Russians. Stephan would come to commit various questionable acts during his service in the country, from learning how to interrogate to doing nightly raids on suspected separatist towns which at times would result in civilian casualties. Nevertheless, Stephan always saw his actions as being part of the greater good.

With the onset of the Russian Federation bouncing back from the economic crisis, it came time for it to assert its dominance and sphere of influence during the short-lived but brutal Georgian war. He would take part in quick shock and awe operations against the Georgian forces which would lead to the ultimate victory of the Russian federation. It would later be at the onset of the Ukrainian war in Donbas that Stephan would provide training and take part in classified assistance ops in the Donbas region as well as Syria during the civil war there. It was in late 2016 that Stephan was discharged with full honors, Stephan longed to do more than be a slave to the military without much gain and civilian life was not in any way Stephan's wishes and so he would go to private security jobs in the Federation which would lead to nowhere, it was until he signed up with the Samael Corporation that he was able to go back to the job he truly longed. After several security contracts in various parts of the world, Stephan has signed for the Almodavar job which will take him to the exotic area of Amazonia he has never seen before. The pay will be good and that is all he cares about.

  • GENDER: Male
  • ETHNICITY: Russian-German
  • NATIONALITY: Russian Native, German/EU Citizenship
  • CITY/TOWN OF PRIMARY RESIDENCE: Hamburg, Germany

  • DEMEANOR: Stoic, dry witted and blunt. Often taken as dickish or otherwise abrasive, he's past the age of giving a fuck however. Outwardly, he appears aloof and even misandric, however there is a part of him that cares for his team mates, however marginally it may be. Has little patience for ineptitude in the field, but is more than open to giving pointers from his almost 30 years of experience when the situation allows.
  • PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Six feet four inches in height, Pavel has maintained an impressive level of muscle mass despite his age. Shaved head with green eyes and a neat scar through his right brow he self inflicted for "an indeterminate amount" in 1985. A number of scars from close calls in his live have added up with day to day wear and tear. Missing the tip of his left middle finger, the official story is that it got shot off as he was flipping Chechens the bird, the unofficial story is that he met the bad end of a sausage maker.

  • UNIFORM:
Subtlety is not a word that describes Pavel, nor is it a word he cares to know. Either he is seen or he isn't, playing around with civilian clothing while wearing harnesses and carrying weapons is perceived as counterintuitive to the man. As such, he makes very little attempt to hide his occupation from the general public. Generally wears a Telnyashka and ties his HPFU around his waist underneath his frag suit if he's wearing it.
    • Fort Gladiator C Plate Carrier
    • Classcom Tor Highcut w/ ComTac 2 dual comms headset
    • Generic 1 Hole Balaclava
    • Fort Mod-K Frag Suit OR Blackhawk HPFU w/ ITS (Olive)
    • 6Sh116 LBV
  • ROLE: Pavel doesn't see himself as particularly specialized, nor expertly trained in a way that sets him aside from others. What he does see is the fact he has more honed and sharpened instincts from a life in the Russian Army. While his primary job in the VDV was an ordinary rifleman, he found himself in enough situations clearing buildings both as a regular grunt and as Spetznaz that he sees himself as a premier pointman in such aspects. he also has extensive experience in explosive handling, both arming and disarming, despite never having formal training on the matter.
  • BIOGRAPHY:
Pavel was born in Karlshorst, Berlin to a GSFG Captain, and local tanner. Shortly after his borth, his parents moved from East Berlin to Leningrad, after his father's transfer orders were accepted. Pavel's childhood was ordinary for most Russian children, cold, dreary, and full of patriotism for the Soviet Union. He received an above standard education learning both Russian and German from his parents, along with minute levels of English. His parents unfortunately divorced not long after his 16th birthday, his mother moving back to East Germany.

On his 18th birthday, Pavel was called up for conscription though unlike many of his peers, Pavel was eager for the event. The boy had always been enamoured with the adventure and life of danger that revolved around his motherland's soldiers. Pavel found himself a part of the Airborne Forces, and was almost immediately faced with a reality check.

The 345th Guards were involved in most of the major operations that took place in the Soviet Afghan War, Pavel himself narrowly avoided fighting on Hill 3234. Something in which Pavel really never really let go of.

In 1988, when the Soviet Forces fully withdrew from Afghanistan, Pavel would participate in simple peacekeeping and demonstration crack downs until 1994, at which point he transferred to the VDV's Spetznaz and fought in both Chechen Wars, and in interventions in Dagestan. From 2001 to 2010, Pavel's military career slowed a little. With fewer deployments, he ended up becoming enamoured with a woman stationed in the same base he was, and a relationship blossomed. The two married in 2004, and had their first child in 2005.

It wasn't long after their second child was born, that Pavel elected to transfer one final time to Zaslon, in an effort to remain close to his growing family as they moved to Moscow. His tenure with the protective service was quite comfortable and reasonably calm, a welcome change to the now aging man, though it didn't last as long as he had hoped. Not too long after the Russian intervention in Ukraine started becoming more open, Pavel elected to move back to his actual country of birth, utilizing his mother's status as a citizen to gain EU citizenship for his family as well. After spending a few years trying to integrate back into civilian life, Pavel found himself grasping at straws.

Digging through old contact info, and with his children having grown to a point that they could be considered 'raised', Pavel eventually found himself employed at Samael. Working once again, as a man with a gun.

Right, time for the Russians. Everything looks good, but for both of you, I would prefer a more mission-appropriate helmet than the Altyn. I get what it provides, but it is more practical for urban combat, than jungle engagements. I also want Stepan to focus solely upon fire support and wear a plate carrier, and for Pavel to take on the demolitions responsibility. Stepan has a LOT of gear to carry through the jungle.

Once that is taken care of, Stepan goes to my team, and Pavel to Pariseau's.

He can keep the GL, but some guns will probably have to be stowed for later in the vehicles, on account of having to carry ammunition for all of those weapons.

His usual field dress including a pair of khaki cargo pants, olive coloured Rothco Jungle Boots, and an olive green Black Hawk Pursuit Long Sleeve Shirt. Typically nylon-cotton hybrids for moisture wicking and comfort. For accessories Ricardo wears a waterproof sports watch, a pair of grey Outlaw Fugitive's ballistic glasses, a jungle green boonie cap and a pair of brown impact gloves.

For armour, Ricardo wears a tan AR500 plate carrier with NIJ III+ medium plates (~4 lbs each), and a LASA AC915 helmet.
  • ROLE: Helicopter Pilot/Rifleman
  • BIOGRAPHY: Born January 13th, 1987, Ricardo was grew up in Montería in the Córdoba district in Colombia. When growing up, Ricardo's father Adán would occasionally take him with him to work while he flew. Adán was a pilot, a helicopter pilot to be exact who flew for the local news and for tourist flights. Growing up, Ricardo always admired the natural beauty of his country and home and cherished the time he spent with his father. On the ground he would help his mother and her florist business after school. Ricardo was fairly community orientated and would often volunteer, where he would make many friends and eventually his would-be fiancee.

Wanting to be like his father, Ricardo loved to fly so he did his best in school to get into UPB for aeronautical engineering. While successful, he had a hard time financing it. Ricardo enlisted with the Colombian National Army to fly helicopters in 2009. Ricardo didn't want to hurt anyone but he did want to fly, so he figured he would become a transport pilot and that he did. After finishing flight school, Ricardo was attached to the 3rd Transport Aviation Battalion, where he was taught to fly Mi-17s. Due to FARC assaults all over the country, Ricardo would fly many medi-vacs and transport missions all over the northern part of Colombia.

After the disastrous earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Ricardo attended a class in the CNA's International Missions Support School for support operations in natural disasters and international assistance, after which he would end up flying SAR and disaster response missions in Colombia itself during December that year after a spate of bad flooding. Ricardo would then be cross trained to fly the Army Aviation's much more widely available UH-1Ns. In 2013 Ricardo would transfer to the 4th Recon and Escort. He would serve with them until the ceasefire with FARC in August of 2016.

After 2016 Ricardo would return to civilian life as a helicopter tour guide just like his father. The pay was modest and the benefits weren't very good but it was a peaceful job that he enjoyed at least for a little bit. This time allowed him to rekindle his relationship with his then girlfriend now fiancee. They drew great aspirations for what they wanted, large weddings, large houses and a pretty view. However while Ricardo wasn't opposed to the peace he did not feel fulfilled. In the army he actively contributed to taking down drug runners, violent rebels and saving people from natural disasters. He missed the action, the excitement and the danger. He'd seen the sights of his home enough times and now he wanted to see something else.

After some difficult discussion with his fiancee and family, Ricardo picked up PMC work in February of 2018 with Samael as a helicopter pilot. 6 month on and off periods were rough but workable for their relationship, after all it had survived seven years of military life, if would last a little longer with a higher paying PMC job. An oil field here, a Southern African nation there, this would be Ricardo's third deployment with Samael.

IDK what helos we got, but I saw that Mi-17s are like dirt cheap to acquire and maintain. Hueys too, but I'll fly just about anything that has rotor blades.

Cylarn wrote:Right, time for the Russians.

Got it

I'll get that sorted some time today.

Job's done.

He can keep the GL, but some guns will probably have to be stowed for later in the vehicles, on account of having to carry ammunition for all of those weapons.

Yeah, you and the pilot are accepted. I will allow a choice of bird: Mi-8, UH-1, or a Gazelle.

No problem, the AK-101 is just backup but yeah he'd likely store it somewhere else. Alright, app is done then.

Does that Mi-8 choice include the Mi-17 or no?
