And on the other side, he'd see pictures from Recon Aircraft that the Soviets seem to be eager in defending the Kola Peninsula to themselves. So he sends an order to halt all further advances deeper into the Peninsula and just stick with the current lands being controlled by the military for annexation.

Knocks on the door would divert his attention.

The door opened, then closed shortly after. Revealing an Officer holding a folder.

"Grand General, here are the files for all Ballistic Missile Silos that are completed.."

The officer then saluted, then walked out of the office.

For the longest time, we had only come across people who more resemble tribals, scrounging for their own goods and supplies by themselves or with small groups. We indeed believed that we may have been the only people who call a country, a nation home... We are glad to see that we were wrong.
As the Emperor of South Polynesia, I, Makani would enjoy learning more about you, and your 'Dominion of America'. Forgive my confusion, but we had contacted a few other places along the Eastern Seaboard of the old continental United States, but had yet to recieve a response. The radio was buzzing like mad. Truly, the world was much larger than what we all thought. This South Polynesia could make an interesting partner in the future. Too bad we hadn't had contact from Panama. Maybe that needs to change. Anyway, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. First, we need a good response. One that is friendly and dignified. Trading might be unfortunately out of the question after the Fireland incident. Maybe, we could use planes. Yes, that would have to do, although the Texan Rangers might not like planes flying over their airspace.

Greetings to you, great Emperor of South Polynesia. It brings me much joy that there is another leader out there who is interested in diplomacy. We would wish to establish a diplomatic relationship. Unfortunately, we are unable to establish a trading relationship as we are unable to reach the Pacific. The Panama Canal was lost in a great blaze. The Magellan Straights are cursed and any ships we send there are lost and never heard from again. As for planes, well, let's say the Old Union was a bit too keen on anti-air defences and didn't have enough security protecting said defences from intruders. Although, we would be glad to have some sort of relationship, even if it must be limited to radio broadcasts. Perhaps, when we can send a fleet to restore the Panama Canal, we can a proper trade partnership. But that seems a long way away. Anyway, we do find it interesting of all the places to have a great civilisation, it was a group of islands in the Pacific. Anyways, we would be interested in pursuing a relationship, limited as it may be.

From there, we'll go westward and destroy all anti-air defences in the Third Texan Republic, hopefully, then we'll be able to send planes to Alaska and the Pacific. The second plan, Operation Cold Cobra, we'll send a fleet over to investigate the Panama Canal and use them to restore the Canal to working condition. Once restored, we can send ships over to the Pacific to find South Polynesia and establish trade routes over to their islands. These plans together should allow us to bring an end to our diplomatic isolation. Both plans will need to be executed as soon as possible.

A once ruined nation, rising once more...

The Federal Republic of Trenaka, ruined by Germany in World War 2, was thought to be destroyed along with the rest of the world in the Cataclysm. The Trenakan people banded together to reestablish their nation with the same ideas and principle as the old Republic. A system of government was put in place, and life seemed to come back to some sense of normalcy in the Trenakan territories, although there was still some resistance. The new President gave a speech on the first day of the new government:

“I pledge to you, the people, that I will faithfully serve the nation to the best of my ability, and I will lead us out of the chaos that preceded us. We shall rise once more, and bring in a new age of rebuilding to the world! We shall bring peace and security to our former territories! The new courts will ensure the rule of law. The military will ensure the security of our nation from all of those that wish for it to perish!”

The crowd cheered.


A radio transmission was sent on an open channel, declaring the Federal Republic of Trenaka to be established.
