Statement from the Office of President of the United States

"The events which transpired in New Orleans were unjust, uncalled for, and tragic. My condolences have been sent to the family of the deceased negro as well as to the injured parties. I end this statement with a simple quote, 'A house divided against itself, shall not stand' and I as an elected official and as a private citizen will make sure equality and the divisiveness of our country will be cured within the next administration, with whatever power I have left. I urge Congress to pass legislation in response to the Protest-Riot-Massacre or whatever other names you may have for it. Thank you, and God Bless."

Senator Boone Arrives in Indiana, Calls for Amendment of FREE Act, Deems Louisiana Protest a “Tragedy”
Delivered Live in Fort Wayne, Indiana to large crowds
Broadcast over Radio throughout the United States

"Ladies and gentlemen, does it feel good to be in Indiana! My fellow Americans, thank you for welcoming me to speak here in your great state. My fellow Americans, I understand that many of you must be sick to death of the demagogic electioneering these days, and therefore are not over-eager to listen to the prattle of another big-mouthed, small-minded politician. Thankfully, you are now listening to Earl Boone, and not that crackpot old fool Senator Sharp.”

“I stand before you today as a supporter of popular sovereignty, civil disobedience and nullification. These are crucial weapons of the Liberty-loving citizen’s arsenal to defend personal freedoms and state’s freedoms against the excesses of government. I am the only candidate so brazenly defending these sacred rights as they are enshrined in our Constitution. My opponents in both parties have tried time and time again to brand me as a socialist, a communist, or even a national socialist—a Nazi. As I have said before, this is nonsense as no staunch socialist, Communist or Nazi would ever support concepts which allow for the protections of our individual and state rights. The inherent ideas in popular sovereignty, nullification and civil disobedience are completely incompatible with the authoritarian ideologies of socialism, communism and fascism. But in the simplified minds of Sharp or Fraser, any man with a mustache is Hitler and any man who wants the government to actively do anything is Stalin. They try to tar-and-feather me so because they are afraid for the futures of their own stagnating campaigns. While we speak of progress and of rationalism, you can count on my most fearful opposition to speak nonsense and sling mud as if their very lives depended on it.”

“Any humorous jabs at my competitors aside, today a much more serious matter hangs over us all. As I have been informed, the Senate voted to pass the FREE Act in my absence and behind my back yesterday. As y’all know, I take breaks in campaigning to try to get to Capitol Hill to get my two cents in on debate and give my vote. Well, my campaign bus broke down when I was close to Pennsylvania, and me and my aides were stranded by the roadside for hours, searching the roads to see if they could get me to a telephone to call this in. Luckily, a generous fellow took us in the right direction, and I was able to reach my Secretary in Washington. However, according to her, when she requested that she deliver my printed opinion on the bill and cast my vote by proxy, she wasn’t let in! Not only is that lack of trust for my own staff personally insulting, but the bill passed the Senate without my voice to argue for its improvement. This bill—the FREE Act—is greatly concerning, and I want everyone here to have an understanding of the gravity of this.”

Boone looked more intently out at the sea of people who had come to see him speak in Fort Wayne.

“Now, this is a working class crowd if I’ve ever seen one, you have determined faces and a tough-as-hickory attitude about y’all. I like that. Tell me something, Fort Wayne, how many of y’all are minimum wage workers? By a shout and a raise of hands.”

It was impossible to count how many audience members did as Boone said, but the number clearly composed a high percentage of the audience. Boone sighed, brow furrowed with some concern.

“Well now... now I have to tell y’all about the choice that’s going to go through the House very soon. The FREE Act that Senator Fraser and Senator Sharp have cooked up is going to free you all from your minimum wage incomes, and not by raising you above it. The FREE Act will eliminate the minimum wage—in its entirety—in every state of this country, within a year of its passage. Just think about it. If the House passes this legislation in the next week, the clock starts ticking and you’ll have only twelve calendar months at most until the government comes and lets your employer choose whatever wage they so please. Industrial workers of the Rust Belt— those manufacturing plants and steel factories that you work in today will be paying you with practically nothing. And all of this, in the eyes of Sophia Fraser and Joshua Sharp, is worth it so that the government can establish a standard minimum income across the country. I agree with the sentiment, that everyone should have some guarantee—some fallback in case the going gets rough. But the way to help the working citizen right now is not to change the system so abruptly. This minimum income program won't make a real difference to poverty-stricken families during the unimpressive Davis Economy of the present, because the shock of abolishing the minimum wage and replacing it with a minimum income plan will be too destabilizing for the economy at large!”

“As I said, I agree with the core idea of a Federal Minimum Income program. Senator Fraser and Senator Sharp have to have good intentions, but well-intentioned people don’t always possess rational minds. If we are to successfully implement a Federal Minimum Income Program, we must start with a very small basic income before growing it over a period of many years in order not to shock the economy and prices. Fraser always rings the alarm on fiscally unsound policies, so she should know better. I don’t really know about Sharp, but Fraser’s certainly smart enough. For the sake of our lower and working classes, and for the sake of the economy at large we cannot afford to eliminate any of the current welfare or social systems such as minimum wage. But, with a little bit of patience, we can gradually grow the amount of guaranteed Federal minimum income and in short order, the Congress can arrange to have it replace the need for many welfare programs including the minimum wage laws.”

“This is why I now call upon our friends in the House, like Mr. Douglas, Mr. Broussard or Mr. Matamoros to amend this proposal. While I have no direct control over the House, I can plead with them here and now: do not allow this bill to pass so long as it states that all minimum wage programs across all states will be killed within a year.

Upon this, there were mixed cries of ‘KILL THE BILL’, ‘AXE THAT ACT’ and ‘AMEND THE BILL’. Boone grinned in accomplishment, before continuing his speech with vehement concern.

“I beg of our Congress, for this country and for the sake of you folk. That is why I must also ask y’all to call up your local congressmen, as I surely will be, to tell them that something must be done! We must make it our supreme effort to amend or stop this bill. That is all I can do in my position.”

“On another grievous matter, what has happened in Louisiana was a tragedy. Groups within our own party jeered at each other across the divide, and when the tension rose to a boiling point, a young man lost his life. A terrible event, and a stain on our great party’s pride. I must say that I am glad that Mr. Brown and Mr. Broussard managed to work out a civil agreement, but by then it was already too late. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the danger of sectionalism. The danger of our own party eating itself alive over this dreadful issue. That is why we need to talk. We need to be civil about the issues of civil rights and segregation, and we need to stop making scenes and violence. I will be a law and order President, and I tell y’all now that I won’t condone lawlessness from anybody! I will have any rioter, lyncher and disturber of the peace arrested in this country! All the while, I will organize small meetings between figures in both sides to talk things out at the White House. We will find a solution that everyone and every state agrees on, as I so often did as Justice of the Peace in my beautiful town of Memphis, Tennessee. Ladies and gentlemen, at this dark time, we need a unifier in office, and to both my left and my right I see no such man running for the oval office. You can vote assured that Earl Boone is that very unifier that our country so desperately needs.”

“Indiana, my candidacy is not merely a campaign, or a publicity stunt. My candidacy is a call to arms against the forces which seek to tear our country apart. Our democracy is threatened by internal divisions, while Soviet Russia readies itself to pounce on our decadence. This country needs a unifying moderate. I bid you take up arms with me, now, and rally the nation against the Communist threat. Elect me, Senator Earl Boone, as your President, and together we shall see that America remain the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, forever.”

"God bless you all, and goodnight."

To: Representative Hubert Broussard of Louisiana's 3rd Congressional District,

I understand that the comments I make and words I use make interpreted and understood in different ways than which I intended. What I meant by the word mob was that you led a large crowd that was at times disorderly. If people may have inferred that I meant that the crowd was violent than I apologize and will revoke that particular comment in a future statement. When I said they were attacked I meant they were attacked by the car, and that was bad wording on the part of an aide of mine, whom I have spoken to and has assured me that grammar checks will occur before the release of a statement. It is my sincere hope that the driver of that car will be brought to justice, and I have faith in the criminal justice system that he will be.

I hope that we can work together own our common goals in the future and can push for real change that will help the American people. My family is doing very, and I thank you for asking. While many may infer from the types of policies you support, though we may disagree on those policies, I will not personally call you a racist.

Best Regards,

To Chairman James Brown Jr. of the National Negro Rights Coalition,

I thank you for sharing what you think Mr. Marshal would have wanted, and I will work to draft up a bill that will try to end Jim Crow laws. I have attempted to do just that in workplaces and institutions of higher education with the Workplace and College Inclusion Act, though some have tried to block it arguing that private institutions should not have to follow the precedent of Brown V. Board of Education and arguing the rest of the bill is unnecessary. I have no doubt that they will try to do the same with private businesses and the like. But I will try to draft a bill that might be more agreeable, or at least less arguable.

In terms of a memorial of Mr. Marshal I had something in mind for a memorial for him. I was thinking of a commemoration service or a memorial for him on capitol hill or at least in Washington D.C. Of course other politicians would have to go along with it, but I think that it would further raise awareness and profile of this case. In any situation I wanted to hear what you though of it?

Anyways I hope you and you're family are doing well, and that America can move forward as a more perfect Union after this tragedy.

Best Regards,

Statement released by the Office of Representative Richard Douglas

I would first like to correct a comment from my previous statement, I used the word mob to describe the crowd counter-protesting the NNRC. What I meant by the word mob was that it was a large crowd that was at times disorderly. If people may have inferred that I meant that the crowd was violent than I apologize and will revoke that particular comment.

On another note Senator Josh Sharp of Mississippi released a statement detailing what he said in a previous Miami speech and his view on lynching. But he didn't put in that statement all of what he said, and this is some more of what he said:
"I've known poor folks n' folks who have fallen on rough times. I've seen the desperatin' inna mothers eyes when she tried to rob me fer my pocket change. Y'all feel bad for such folks, but y'all best lock yer doors at night! We all know that the poor are criminals. Not the horrific' criminals like the folks inna 'siana this week, but criminals all the same! Now, when yer a criminal, yer usually poor n' wantin' uncle sam to not take yer paychecks fer when yer not drinkin' booze n' dyin!"

He clearly states in this quote that the poor in general are criminals, that is what he said. He called the poor criminals, and on his view on lynching he justifies it by saying only real criminals and have been tried by a jury will be lynched. What I saw to that is the death penalty is legal, the death penalty where people are killed humanly by authorities is what is needed. There is no need for lynching when there is the death penalty, I think we should let the police, the people sworn to protect us, police us, let the police do the policing.

Senator Sharp speaks to Pennsylvanian Republicans
delivered live to a large crowd in Scranton, Pennsylvania

"Now, I know the sight of an asshole, not just any asshole but an asshole who supports southern values is comin' up t' yer towns n' tellin' ya who the hell to vote fer next 'vember. Y'all might be thinkin I'm a southern, dixie carpetbagger. I'm not, I can assure you of that. As any o' y'all would know, I am a Democrat. But, I take moments like this to speak not to just Democrats, but also to Republicans who've gotta the same kind o' thinkerin. Ain't we all americans regardless? Don't we all put aside our partisan differences to hep each other out inna fires n' blazes n' tornadoes n' what have all y'all? It's the greater good of humanity over whatever party-san affiliations we may have or whatever camps n' tribes we drive ourselves inna. If y'alled support me next novemba, that'd be right special. Oh boy. Now, y'alled want reasons as to why to support Dixie's son? Well, I'll read off of some of my more conservative ideas n' platforms for all y'all. I will lower the taxes of the rich fellers and the poor fellers. If the rich folks have fallen on hard times because of Dave's Depression, maybe y'all outta be shoppin' round? You do know there's a whole 'nother side o' yer local supermarket of politikin named the conservative coalition. That's what I'm hopin' fer. Conservative northerners join' us dixie-southern democrats in ensuring that state's rights, private schoolin' n' limited gubment is enshrined into the constitution. Y'all sure as hell don't need no washinton feller tellin you how yer livin' yer life wrong and how t' fix it. Americans can easily make that distinction every single day o' their lives, and us folks don't need no gub'ment t' step inna the way! If y'all fellers wanna send yer chillens n' children to private schoolin' and don't like no integration, y'all don't have to anyways! If fellers like this General Jackson and folks like me can agree, regardless of what I think of the man on military matters, why not have many forgotten voices be heard once more?

When School desegregation came up, what have y'all white fellers been doin? Y'all been puttin' yer chillens in white private schools. It's because y'all don't wanna see yer precious babies n' snot nosed brats intermixin' with the negro race. Honestly, I think we've all gotta lot in common, us southern democrats and northern conservatives. Haven't y'all felt as though the Republicans o' Fraser n'...that other one have forsaken you? It's bitter and painful ain't it. It's knowin' yer culture. yer white faith and yer american flags bein' trampled. However, I'll say this, no body here wants to spend years n' years inna fruitless war. No american boy or girl here wants to die inna shit-soaked battlefield in chinaistan. We do not want another Korea. We don't want a draw, we're either going to win the war within two years or nintey days or thirty days, or we'll be gittin' our boys home. Have them Frasers been payin' attention to all y'all? No! This Quiet group's been sittin inna the corner while chaos unfolds on capital hill, while racist idjits like Brou-wait it was Doug. Like Doug who slander the good anglo-saxon caucasian race anna his family. His family with their proposals o' tax increases n' harmin' yer bottom line. It's goin' t' harm the rich folks anna the poor fellers. It's gonna harm everybody and will leave buisnesses hurtin'. I don't wanna see folks outta work, but if this liberal Davis has any intention of cow-towin' to the liberal Fraser, this economy will hurt more.

But, in spite of all this, I wish the Frasers the best. Honestly at the end of the day, it's just politikin'. When I am long inna the ground, and I'll tell you what, at seventy years old you git tired fast. When I'm dead, I want the history to look back at my bipartisanship with northern fellers. While yes they are of the liberal persuasion, it don't mean I'm too upset at 'em. It just means I disagree with them politically. That's what all politics ought to be, in the house and on the campaign trail. Not constantly. If yer street had one house that supported the Democrats and one house that supported the Republicans, they'd have to mingle every now and then. You'd need to set politikin' aside anna just come togther. That's my private hope outta all this. You leave yer 'pinions on sputnik at the door and y'all enjoy a nice turkey next thanksgivin'!

With fellers on my left, we've got Earl Boone. Now, Boone's a good man, just a dumbass. Oh, and he's probably hitler and stalin. That don't mean I agree with the Democrat on everything, hell, I rarely agree with that tennesseeian fellers on much these days! He is promoting and promising the largest tax increase in recent american history! It will be economically unsustainable. When he realizes that fellers like me anna conservative fellers 'inna the Senate will block his "New New Deal" He'll resort to the pen. That pen is a blatant abuse of presidential power! Like with any president, he ought to know his limits. That's why we've gotta Supreme Court, to keep the Presidency in check. He ought to work with a stonewalling congress to git sometin' done, or else fellers like you anna me will take one look come '62 and hand the opposition and us conservative fellers a repeat of '38! My only regret was that we weren't able to take back the Senate and stop that damagin' and horrible New Deal from passin' again n' again! It's no good socialism. We are slowly becomin' a communist dictatorship. A way to increase the socialism in American society is put simply, a vote for Earl Boone. We ain't gonna let that happen now are we?

No good american wants that, and the fact that some in my own Democratic Party, though I won't name no names or nothin- (cough cough Earl Boone) wants to ram through socialism ought to frighten every one o' y'all! I shall seek to roll back and overturn a slew of socialist programs that were enacted under the New Deal by that devil bastard shithead Roosevelt! However, I will not mask any attempt at my admiration for the ol' cripple's monumentous attempts at gittin' us inna the fight when the japs slapped us silly at Peal in '41. We were caught flat-footed by the Japs n' the Krauts. I should know. I knew neighbors and even representatives who dropped what they were doin' t' sign up for the fight. I've heard so many war stories from the people just inna this neighborhood. It gives this old war hero a sense of patriotism to see that so many fellers n' folks n' what have y'all dropped what they were doin' t' fight the japs n' germans. I greatly admire President Roosevelt's determination in staving off nazi tyranny. We don't need no nazi socialist gubment, and I pray it never happens here. He fought tooth and nail with us Dixiecrats and we gave 'em 50%. I should know, I was there inna the halls o' congress fightin' bravely on the legislative front lines to pass shit through the house, as watered down as the fellers in the Senate made it. Damn shame.

I'm positive n' sure that us southern democrats, us conservative republicans and the poor fellers n' rich fellers will organize a mass movement. Might not be in '60, but I have high hopes about '64! We shall have our voices be heard and when they are heard, it shall be a crescendoing, echoing, booming, NO! When Uncle Sam and the liberal media wants to jam socialism down our throats, what do we say? Hell No, we ain't gonna go 'long wit-it! When the conservative southerners and the conservative republicans join hands and prevent the liberal train from leavin' the damn station, we had better be determined. I urge all y'all to remain firm and resolute. Be stubborn like me. That's all I'll gotta say right nows fellers. God bless every single one o-y'all, This is the battle of America! Senator Sharp's the victa inna all this! God bless all y'all again n' 'gain!"

Jonathan Jackson Speech
Feburary 22nd, 1959

"My fellow Americans! We face an existential threat. The forces of totalitarianism are marching forward, consuming proud and free nations and spreading their evil, atheistic ideology. We are seeing this in Vietnam, where a proud nation with ancient history finds itself under attack by the forces of Communism. In our very own continent, Cuba is aligning itself with the Soviets. We cannot stand by and let communism expand any further, lest we find America itself under attack."

"This conflict between us and the Soviets isn't simply an antagonism between two Great Powers - as in the past. It is a conflict between two fundamentally different ways of life; democracy and totalitarianism, freedom and slavery, liberty and authoritarianism, God and Atheism, light and darkness, civilization and barbarity. This evil empire threatens to upend our way of life, to strip us of our God given liberties, to eradicate our Churches and to purge our faith."

"Only strong, decisive leadership can defend America and the Free World from the communist onslaught. I believe that I can offer this leadership. I led the Allied Powers in the Pacific Theater of World War II against Imperial Japan. I became the first man in two thousand six hundred years of Japanese history to occupy Japan itself. As leader of occupied Japan, I transformed a defeated and humiliated nation into a modern, liberal democracy. As Commander-in-Chief of the UN Command in Korea, I pushed back the Reds to the North and saved South Korea from falling at the hands of the communists."

"I believe that my long career has showcased that I have the qualities necessary to become President of America. As someone who fully defeated Japan for the first time in more than two thousand years of history and pushed the Reds out of South Korea, I know firsthand how to win an Asiatic war. I know how we can win in Vietnam. I know how to cooperate with our military leadership, how to assess our strategical and logistical situations and what decisions need to be taken to both achieve victory and to avoid needless casualties."

"As President, I will launch an offensive into North Vietnam. Instead of fighting for years a protracted guerilla war in the jungles of Vietnam with no end in sight, we will finish the war with a single and decisive offensive. With the fall of North Vietnam, the entirety of Vietnam will be unified under a single democratic, liberal government allied with us. A unified Vietnam along with - armed to the tooth by us - Nationalist China, South Korea and Japan shall act as a shield containing Red China and the Soviets from expanding their evil ideology in Asia."

"My career has also prepared me for domestic administration. Some of my critics like to pretend that I have no experience in governance, yet they forget that for almost six years I was Leader of the Occupation of Japan. For almost six years I governed a nation of seventy-seven million people. That's a bit below half the American population. I pushed for reforms to modernize the country; to move it from backward, monopolistic and feudalistic institutions to a modern, capitalist, liberal country. Today Japan has strong democratic institutions and a growing economy."

"Of course, Japan and America are different. Japan was backwards while America is already a modernized successful nation. Japan had suffered two atomic bombs and had lost a war, America is the strongest power on Earth. But imagine for a moment; if I led Japan to success - a Japan that was feudalistic, humiliated and defeated -, then what can I do for America that is already great? As President, I will usher even greater economic growth, create even more jobs and make America even greater."

"But in order for this to happen, in order to defend our country from communist expansionism and create prosperity at home, we need national unity. In Japan, I've heard a story about a medieval Mongol Warlord called Genghis Khan. When Genghis Khan was young, he was arguing constantly with his brothers, so his mother called the Khan and his four brothers to her tent. She gave them an arrow each and told them to break it. The brothers broke it with ease. She then gave a bundle of five arrows to each brother, and asked them to break them. Much as they tried, they did not manage to break the arrows. So the mother told them, 'if you are on your own, you will be easily broken like the single arrow. If you are like united like the bundle of arrows, nothing will be able to break you'."

"Extremists on the left and right want Americans to hate each other, to bicker, to be divided; to kill each other. The recent tragic events in Louisiana demonstrate just that. Division leads to deaths. Division weakens us. If we keep diving ourselves - treating each other as enemies instead of as fellow citizens -, then the Soviets won't need to bring us down; we will have done so ourselves. Extremist activists on one hand and white supremacists on the other hand inflame the tensions and weaken America for their own benefit. Politicians on the left and right endorse those extremists for petty political gain. Those on the left argue for federal imposition of their dictates, without once considering states' rights or the liberties of the Southern folk. Those on the right violently suppress the rights of our colored citizens."

"We do not have to takes sides in this fight between two equally dangerous and abhorrent extremes. We instead need to side with the vast majority of Americans that want moderation, social peace and unity. As President, I shall form a bipartisan committee - made up of Senators and Representatives from both North and South - to formulate an acceptable to all plan to solve our racial troubles. I know it will be a difficult and long process, but at the end we will be able to find a solution that will satisfy the vast majority of Americans. A solution that will neither infringe on the liberties of the South nor deny rights to our colored compatriots."

"Only then we can we truly face - as one fist - the Soviet menace. As President, I will take comprehensive steps to defend the Free World from communist expansionism. We shall win the war in Vietnam. On Cuba, we will demand that their government cuts all ties with the Soviets and offer them economic and military aid if they do so; if they refuse, however, we shall topples their regime. Communism will not be tolerated on our continent!"

"I shall more than double economic aid to our allies, but in turn they will have to accept anti-corruption reforms - to ensure that American dollars go towards productive purposes and not in the pockets of corrupt officials -, economic reforms - to ensure prudent use of American aid -, and offer privileged access to American corporations, thus enriching America. This increase in economic aid will lessen the economic burden America shoulders in the long term, as with their growing economies, our allies will be able to shoulder a greater part of the cost of the defense of the Free World."

"I shall also increase military aid to our allies. This military aid will come in the form of arms manufactured here, in the United States. That means that we will create thousands of well-paying manufacturing jobs for the American workers! Supporting our allies, will support our workers and our economy! By bolstering militarily and economically our allies, we will put on hold Soviet aggression and make them think twice before trying to export their evil ideology."

"As President, I will usher strong economic growth. I will cut taxes for all Americans. Personal income tax shall be cut for everyone, while the number of income brackets will be reduced to simplify our tax code and make tax compliance easier. We need easy to understand, low taxation in order to foster economic growth. Consumers, having more money in their pockets, will be able to spend more. Corporate tax cuts will bolster our businesses. While all businesses will see tax cuts, small businesses with less than thirty employees shall see the greatest decrease in taxation, from the current rate of 52% to 18%; the mom and pop neighborhood shop will be the greatest beneficiaries of my tax plan. An increase in consumption combined with the corporate tax cuts, shall allow businesses to expand their operations and hire more people as they will have more money to invest. This in turn will grow our economy and, as our economy grows, so will state revenue; this will more than cover the cost of the tax cuts and - in combination with cuts in government waste - shall allow us to increase spending on crucial government services that actually help people."

"This decision to reduce taxation is not one made simply because it will bolster economic growth; it is also a decision made out of my deep faith in the American people. I believe that the hard-working American - who toils and sweats for hours upon hours in his job - should have the right to decide what to do with his hard-earned money. Other candidates do not have faith in the American people; they believe that the American people are too immature to manage their own money and that the government is the parent who will supposedly manage prudently their money. In reality this means the transfer of the wealth of the American people to DC, to be managed by lazy bureaucrats sitting in cozy offices and wasting that money in out of touch outlandish bureaucratic schemes."

"I believe that the American people are mature enough to manage their own money. I believe that is they, and not the bureaucrats, who should decide how to spend that money. I believe that each American has his own dreams, desires and wishes, which bureaucrats in DC cannot possibly hope to know; how, then, can they decide what is best for them? I believe that Americans are individuals, each one unique, instead of number in some statistical formula. I have faith in the American people."

"Taxes are not the only burden businesses face. Small business owners - the mom and pop of the neighborhood shop, not some corporate magnate - have complained to me that there are too many regulations and laws. Those regulations add up too much cost, which force businesses to increase the cost of their products, thus burdening the consumers; you. Look; I am not against all regulations. I am not a radical. I believe we need laws to protect the rights of our workers from abuses and to protect the safety of consumers and of our environment. But some regulations exist only to justify the pay of some good for nothing bureaucrats in DC. I say that we cut those regulations, fire those good for nothing bureaucrats and make everything cheaper!"

"We also need a healthcare reform that will balance the need for the welfare of our elderly with prudent management of our economy. I believe we should be offering health insurance to the elderly that they can choose to purchase, instead of it being mandatory as proposed by some on the left. It's a good compromise, I believe."

"Folks, my economic agenda is simple; you should keep more of your hard-earned money, we should subsidize employment instead of unemployment, we should keep the budget balanced, we should have a government that is clean and does not waste money, we should put an end to red tape and we should reform our healthcare. My opponents have come up with wild schemes of dozens of new government programs, paid by you, supposedly for your welfare. In fact, only partially those money will be returned to you as the larger part will be wasted on paying the bureaucrats who will manage those programs. Instead of doing so, it is easier and more just to cut taxes. And that's what I will be doing."

"I will also restore law and order in the streets. As we saw in Louisiana, anarchy reigns in our streets; riots, murders and fights between extreme activists and racial extremists of both sides. As President, I shall implement a zero tolerance approach to riots. Those who riot shall be sentenced for years in jail. Police will prevent unrest in the streets. I shall increase federal aid to state and local law enforcement agencies, to help them hire more officers. I shall implement a zero tolerance policy on crime, drugs and violence. I shall see that sentences are harshened and that criminals are out of the streets. I shall reform our education, so that our children are raised with proper moral and patriotic values; to love God and country. I shall put an end to the drugs epidemic by launching nation-wide police operations to put an end to that illicit trade and by increasing sentences for dealers and users. It is time to restore social peace and proper morality to America!"

"I am an outsider. I am not part of the political elites. I want to have nothing to do with decadent elites who put their petty personal interests ahead of America. I am here to fight for you, not for them! I am here to be your champion! I will go in DC not as their President, but as your President! I will fight for the ordinary American. I will defend our nation. While others belittle America and believe that Americans should offer apologies, I believe that we are the greatest nation on Earth and that we should be proud that we are Americans! I will not cozy up to the elites; I will be a President by and for the people, not by and for the elites as others want to be. It is time to put petty squabbles aside, turn our back to the decadent elites and to make America even greater! God Bless America!"

"God Bless America!" the crowd chanted. "God Bless America!"

Birmingham, Alabama

Governor Fraser Speech
February 19th, 1959
Image

"Hello Birmingham, Alabama and fellow Americans, listening to this speech in person, over radio or over television. 1872, 1879, 1901. Those are the last years that any Republican in this state has seen federal representation from their votes in Presidential electors, the Senate and the House, respectively. Through successive Republican Presidents and Republican Senate and House majorities, this has been the case. The reason for this? Jim Crow laws. These Dixiecrats suppress the votes of the blacks, so that they can suppress the representation of Republicans. As a representative that never has to fear defeat outside of the primary, becomes nothing but a tool of a party that ends up dominated by narrow corrupt interests precisely because they never have to be accountable to nothing but themselves.

So not only all do these laws disenfranchise blacks, not only does Alabama's poll tax disenfranchise poor whites and not only does it disenfranchise Republicans, it disenfranchises independents and democrats who hold views outside of what that narrow corrupt elite in this democratic party sees as in their own interest.

It is unfortunate to say, but a vote in the elections run by this corrupt elite holds very little value, but one vote I can assure you that will absolutely hold value, is vote for the Fraser Campaign in the Republican primary. The simply truth is, Jackson has deserted Southern Republicans, either due to his inability to hold any sort of significant awareness of the issues of the day, or because he simply refuses to stand up for your voice. If you have see the Jackson Campaign ask for the support of Sothern republicans, you can absolutely sure, that it is only because of what he believes you can do to help him. Jackson has absolutely no interest at all in allowing your voice to be heard unless it is repeating his name.

In contrast, I want your support precisely so I can lead a movement and administration that will ensure that the enemies of the constitution that oppose the 15th amendment being upheld will be defeated and Republicans will find themselves in a position to win the support of those that corrupt democrats have long denied them on the knowledge it'd cost them their power. I will make this fundamentally clear, my commitment to this cause is not simply so that I can receive your support, but because I truly believe in it. That's why in no uncertain terms, I call for the protectors of our constitution in both houses of congress, to again present the Voting Rights Enforcement Act. It matters not what the enemies of the constitution, be it Jackson, Boone or Sharp might say. Let them make their opposition to our constitution clearer still and let us all recognize the sad reality that they believe it is just and legitimate, for the government to selectively ignore explicit rights in our constitution and ponder the danger should men as unscrupulous as them hold control of the presidency.

Democratic Senate Leader Boone said something recently in a speech that I must address, for it seems that he either doesn't no, or intends to mislead, when he calls himself a supporter of 'civil disobedience'. When an individual expresses an opposition to a law by breaking it and accepting punishment by the state, that is civil disobedience. When a government acts against the constitution and uses force to on behalf of these actions, That is violent tyranny. Senator Boone, you are no supporter of civil disobedience, you are a supporter of violent tyranny, plain and simple. As for popular sovereignty, you stand in opposition to it in your refusal to obey our constitution, as the popular sovereignty of the people is made meaningless by a refusal to obey it's decisions as expressed through the constitution. Lastly, on the issue of nullification, you either are, or take the American people for fools and I given your capacity to navigate to top of the nest of snakes that is your party, I am leaning to the latter.

Boon advocates immense command and control from the federal government to be imposed on the economic sector and call for the federal government to step into the monopoly on taxation of property that's been held by the states from the founding of this country. That is not the belief of the nullifier or the principled advocate of states rights. On one hand you desire the federal government make impositions on states that the constitution does not require of it and on the other you demand that the states have the right to ignore parts of the constitution that require specific actions. The logical resolution of this paradox is clear, Senator Boone, I know what you are and what you advocate.

In the 1940 I was appointed by the Roosevelt as Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs, my role was opposing the rise of Nazi-sympathetic sentiment in Latin America, until I took up arms to join the fight against Japanese imperialism. I know their formulations, I know their rhetoric. I know National Socialism, whether Senator Boone sincerely believes in it or not, campaign is in alignment with the principles of national socialism. His positions hold no internal consistency outside of that mold, and well meaning forward thinking democrats who have mistakenly found themselves in his camp should turn away from it and join march with the Fraser Campaign in the name of progress against all forms of tyranny.

Yet despite this reality, Jackson and his campaign takes the shameful position of appeasement against these forces. Our constitution's value is from it's enforcement, without it, it is but words on paper. Jackson intends to ensure that our constitution is nothing but a mere scrap of paper. After generations of blood being shed to defend our constitution, we can not allow the blight of Jackson's opposition to our constitution be leading standard of the Republican Party. I ask you, Alabama and America, to rally behind the principled campaign that believes in our constitution, support the Fraser Campaign!"

Jackson, Mississippi

Governor Fraser Speech
February 21st, 1959
Image

"Hello Jackson, Mississippi and fellow Americans, listening to this speech in person, over radio or over television. I apologize in advance to this city for your plight. Unfortunately that's a rather dull individual that unfortunately shares your name running in this Republican primary. I must say that despite the faults this city might have, it is utterly unfair that it has to share identity with an enemy of the constitution such as him, seeing as he's shown nothing but a willingness to abandon the people of this city, state and region. In his refusal to tackle the corrupt grip that a particularly shameful wing of the democrats have on this state, represented largely by one of the chief undeserving dullards, Senator Sharp, who's also been tainting the national campaign with his rambling.

Though as tempting as it might be to focus on that, I feel it is far better use of time to make a rather specific defense of a policy that this Campaign has supported and has recently passed the Senate, the FREE Act, from attacks from the charlatan Senator Boone. Firstly it's important to recognize the nature of this charlatan. Right now, he calls for the House to pass add amendments to the FREE Act, as if he never had the opportunity to do so himself. It doesn't matter what excuse he's given now, at any time between the first introduction to the FREE Act, weeks ago, which was first rejected weeks ago, and the passage of the new version, he could have offered up amendments to it. He didn't, at any point, even try to.

With that said, it's not to move unto a more technical defense of the elements of this bill. First and foremost, at it's core, it guarantee's that every single person who has a job, in addition to help those people who are training for employment, an supplicant income that takes them out of poverty. That must be remembered when discussing any other element. The insincere complaint of the Charlatan Senator Boone is the phase out of inefficient wage controls. It ins insincere for two main reasons. Firstly, there are many jobs without any minimum wage, or it insufficient to deliver people out of poverty. The FREE Act covers those who weren't covered by minimum wage laws and those who the minimum wage wasn't high enough. Secondly, believe this when I say this as a former business executive, price controls of any type lead businesses to avoid expansion they'd otherwise find profitable enough to engage in. That means that the minimum wage does, in fact, lower employment.

The FREE Act allows the private sector to employ everyone that it possibly can, while still ensuring that regardless of what individuals are paid, they'll receive a large enough income to live on. It is simple as that, regardless of how charlatan Senator Boone tries to frame this issue. There are other reasons the FREE Act is superior to the minimum wage. Another is that since there would be a higher demand for employment, the threat of impoverishment can not be brought bare against workers quite like how our current system allows, particularly since the FREE Act covers all workers, where the minimum wage doesn't. Another thing to keep in mind, this is especially true for the south and rural areas, is that what was a more reasonable minimum wage one place, is less reasonable in another. In effect, southern and rural businesses paid more out of their pockets for these wage controls than northern and urban businesses. Southern and Rural workers paid more in a lack of employment opportunities than northern and urban workers. Another consequence of the minimum wage is that the consumer products produced by businesses employing minimum wage workers are disproportionally consumed by low and middle income individuals, meaning low and middle income individuals paid for the minimum wage than wealthier individuals.

The system of the minimum wage is a stealth tax on the south, rural, low and middle income America, the FREE Act brings these costs into the open by putting it on the federal budget so that the publicly, instead of vaguely understood rules of the consequences of intervention in the market, can decide how to assign these costs. It does this all the while expanding anti-poverty measures, lowering unemployment, making more space for the free market and cutting down on the federal bureaucracy, naturally the charlatan Senator Boone and his agenda for a national socialism stands in opposite to such goals. I recognize, unfortunately, that there will be Democrats that will work to sabotage this progress, but this is part of why I am running for President, rather than simply advocating the elements of this platform. To build the change we need, we need to be bold, we need to be strong and we nimble. The voices of obstruction and timidity will say otherwise, for they traffic in the flaws of the status quo and a fear of a future beyond them. American mustn't and can not heed these voices if it is the win the sixties and win the world for liberty and justice.

Thank you Jackson, Mississippi and fellow Americans, I ask again, support the Fraser Campaign!"

Cedar Grove, Mississippi
Senator Sharp speech.
February 21, 1959

"My Stars, what a sight! Thousands o' y'all showed up at my home to greet me. Y'all know, there's a poll out there that state's I'd barely win my Senate seat. I must ask who in the hell they polled anyhow? It's clearly not any o o' y'all that support Dixie's favoriate boy, Joshua Sharp! Oh Lordy almightee, I is a good ol' southern 'entleman. That's right folks n' fellers n' boys n' wimmen. I've always been here for Dixie when she cried out for me, and I don't intend on stoppin' at seventy one. Maybe at seventy seven. Now, I'm goin' t' ask all y'all what in the hell did that god-forsaken gubner do for any o' y'all? Bup-kiss that's what! I'm the most productive memba o' the yoo ess senate. Ok I'm not the most effective, not by a longshot. That goes to my colleauge n' friend Fraser. I know it's weird for all y'all. But as much as I disagree with her husband, we've gotta have see-vility inna politkics, y'all know? In spite of everythin, I tie this to the bible.

If we're hateful o' every politikal leaf that ain't out own, we ain't gonna git shit done anna we is a goanna feels like the shits, y'knowmesayin'? I consider her a trusted friend and colleague, even as I poke politics inna her wife-I meant husband. Sorry, I misspoke inna mah 'dress. No, not my dress, address. Dumbasses galore inna this crowd? Y'all sure y'alls ain't a buncha slack jawed locals? Because if y'all the pointdexters from, uh, um... the capital of Richmond, wait, Oh yeah, It was... what' that war heroes name that shares... Jack, Jackson, Mississippi that's what it is! Now, where the fuck was I? Uh.. Yeah, the pointdexters fromma Richmon-Jackson, then I'd expect more apples bein' tossed my direction. I'm popular with you poor fellers ain't I? Damn straight!

I see all y'all as my grandma, I'd do anythin' fer her. Bless her soul and her heart. She was a good, christian worshippin', god fearin' woman as any southern belle oughta these days. They know when to shut up and when to talk. They can spread as much gossip as I spread manuer on me farms t' make the crops grow! Remember y'all, I haven't never been no selfish. Unlike the eliteist attitudes o' some. Now, I know I've been rubbin' elbows with some o' the who's who inna 'sippii', that's 'cause I'd need their cash. I appreciate yer donations o' pennies, but pennies enough ain't gonna be enough to run a presidential bid for the White House. That's why I need a bit more, maybe even a full quarter. That'll be the most I wanna extract from y'all. If y'all gimme a quarter, then you'd be able to keep the other three and I'll give you two back for a buck twenty five! That's my tax plan. The poor won't pay as much, and I'll even give a lil' back just for you!

Boys, There are those among the campaign and durin' this general election cycle who slander good southern gentlemen like myself with rumors of me bein' some sorta crackpot. I can assure you the only drugs I do are for my medical 'dions, though I'm not sure what the hell they were fer anyhow, either a headache or stomach pain. Anyways, I just disagree with hoistin' on the largest amount o' federal intervention. That's what Earl's plottin. That's what communist Earl is plottin. He shall impose upon this state, this reigon and this county the most unwarrented and unprecedented amount o' gubment intervention inna state economies and county matters since FDR, may he burn in hell and bless his heart.

As I've said in Philly, we are here, I am here to fight for all y'all. If none o' y'all want massive tax increases, not for the rich and not for the poor fellers. The poor fellers are taxed to death, and under Earl's proposals, they'll tax you more anna more till yer broke! The way that man justifies it is by sayin' everyone will havva home. Well what's wrong with livin' ina barn? Has this city-slicker neva heard o' electrical stovin'? What a dumbass. He's an outta touch, unlike Joshua Sharp here. He's fighting to ensure the great Caucsian-American Race don't falter inna the face o' gubment forces. Like what President Dave's doin' with the South against her wishes.

Dave's murderin' anna wantin' t' conrrol the south. I wil state firmly segregation now, segregation tomorra and segregation for te rest of my life! I ain't gonna run from the President, and I will stand up tall not only for Mississippi, not only for Cedar Grove, but for every white couple an member of the Klan that I know! I is a standin' up for my neighbors rights to not have negros in their neighborhoods. I am standin' up fer the rights of us white fellers against an unruly negro mob with President Davis at it's head! That's why I've lived with white fellers in Cedar Grove. The negroes go elsewhere inna this state. They can mix with their own kin, just leave us white fellers alone.

Now, that's under my brilliant proposals. Y'all won't pay as much for taxes. The poor hobos inna Jackson will also git a sweet-ass hobo blanket. I'm goin' to make sure that railway yard is for strict useage by the homeless. When yer down on yer luck, we're goin' to make damn sure y'all are fed, clothed anna sheltered. That's why the railyards will be paid to store y'all inna tere. Now, Y'all know what the TVA does? It's one of the few good things I liked about Roosevelt. I know that don't play as well inna 'ssippii', but I've been up inna those northern states, so I've had to moderate my 'sition on 'ssues. Got it?

With respect to 'nam, I'll state it now, Jackass Jackson don't know what in the hell he's talkin' bout! I doubt the man who's occupied two countries illegaly inna times o' war knows how to fight and winna war. Though, I agree with the man on a slew o' issues currently facin' this good ol' dixie-I mean Uncle Sam now again. I was inna trench, I wasa gunna inna Belleau Wood. It was a messy, rain' 'ffair. When it didn't rain, we'd call it our good days. Even so, on the good days you' lose so many o' yer buddies from jerry sniper fire, landmines, a jerry buzzin' the poor yank as he's pissin' on the floor, damn, sad shame. On the good days you'd only lose half a nights sleep from the constant bombardment and the terrifyin' kraut screams. Y'all can even hear the blooducrlin' cries of young men like myself. I still hear the cries to this very day.

Sometimes I keeps me up with Velma. It makes me lose my lunch, how many of my good pals died in horrible ways. I mean, then I was a stupid dumbass who decided against fightin' for an educatin and wanted to fight for my country. Now, I'm not sayin' that fightin' fer yer country's a dumbass move. I was just a young dumb hick. I'm damn proud of the 'xperince. It taught me the joys o' not pissin' yer pants every time y'all saw somethin' shiny, hopin' it won't no kraut bullet fire. While I have no chillens o' me own, I've comforted those who have lost. Throughout my time in the House, I had to comfort members of my district who had one of their boys go up inna Bee seventin' bomba o'er germany or mexico, whoever else we fought. i think we bombed the rooskies inna world war II. Hell-if I know.

As for segregation, I shall ensure that the good white fellers are on one side of the street anna the negro race is on the other side. Y'all know what happens when the mix? It's because o' communist nazi agitators such as Earl n' his motely crew of northern yankee carpetbaggers! Then those idiots harm the good words that the cars were goin' t' say. When y'all drive yer car, y'all can drive it anywhere y'all damned-well please. If there's a dumbass protestor in-front of my car, it's going to be the last car that that dumbass protests in-fronta!

Because I'll run his ass ova, gots its? Goods. Now, I'll see to it that any questions y'all has about the speech, my positions on other 'ssiues as they pertain to the good of segregation anna my politikal campaign, senate bid anna whatever inna the hell I'm workin' inna the senate, I'd love to hear 'em now, so just speak up and try to elbow yer neighbor in an orderly manner t' git my old ears!"

A chubby, elderly man, steps up in his overalls, shaking, "Senator. You've served us well in the Senate, and I thank ya for your service to our military. You're a great man and a great politician. Besides those facts, it is also very strange to me that you are so low in the polls, for president of course. I think we could use you more at the top of our Senate polls, and at the top of Mississippi's Social ladder, than at the bottom of a presidential poll. Have you been busy on your Senate Campaign, or have ya just been focusing on that White House? I apologize if my words are a bit slurred, or if I shake. I've got Parkinsons, and I think you ought to keep an eye out for this disease too, sir."

"Feller, first off, I'm damn proud of what I did, even if it prevents me from sleepin' at night. I would rather stay up all night fer the rest o' me life rather than not fight inna europe in '17 n' '18. I served my country well. As fer yer second point, I'm as puzzled as y'all are anyhow. Though, I have a reasonin' fer that. Y'all see, Earl's more broad, he actually thinks that more than three people think his shit don't stink. That's bullshit. I'm more realistic. I'm aware that at least one person don't think my shit stink. That's why I'm a lil' behind inna the Polls. But, that's just one o' many polls that'll come on out.

For my Senate campaign, I've been tryin' to git in rallies like this, it's just that I haven't even heard of much from my opposition. I doubt that bastard's even goin' t' run. I'm sure I'll be just fine enough. Inna this I gotta do three things, balance my Senate work for this great, beautiful state o' 'ssippii, make sure I'm onna the campaign trail and when I stop of, I hold these sorts of events for my senate seat. I'm doin' three things at once onna shoestring budget o' my campaign. Parking sons? Where? Oh, Parkin' sons. Gotcha. Now, that seems nastly, y'all sure y'all don't need some sorta apple? Velma git this feller some fruit, please!"

A middle aged widow wearing a conservative black dress walks over "Thank you, Senator Sharp for all you have done. My husband died in France with World War II I was devastated, but he left me with his son. My son was my pride and joy and I raised him with all my heart, but now he is of that age where he can be called into the military. But I don't to lose another one, I don't want to die in Vietnam, or die like his father. How will you stand up to President Davis and prevent him from sending so many of our children to die in Vietnam?"

Senator Sharp's gaze turns into a soft, understanding one before he looks down at his shoes for seemingly an eternity before his now tear covered eyes meet the old woman's.
"M-m'am, You're story is the kind of story I've been hearin' over 'ssippi anna states of the south. We're all watchin' with concern the numba of dead. Now, any dead american's a tragedy. I heard many stories like yours inna both my house seat and within my senate offices. The amount of times I broke down in tears, joinin' along the fellers who had wanted to know what happened to their boy in europe or Japan, and I was able to uncover the grisely details. I had the burden of either callin' into them.

While I have no chillen o' my own with Velma, I've had the opportunity to git help from my neighbors. Neighbors who were at the age of service. I 'member it was my neighbor Frank's eldest boy Jim. It was the winter o '44. Jim was a tall, beamin' smile of a young man probably destined for a smart career. But, he did what I did all those years ago. In a time of crisis Jim sacrificed many things for us fellers in the states. Not to neglect the home front or nothin, but Jim served his country. He was killed durin' the Nazi winter offensive in '44. I 'member that I got the call. Jim was dyin' and the operator had put him through the hospital in Guman or Pearl to chat with his father. I tenderly rose from my seat, went out onta the back patio and yelled 'Frank, your boy's callin' me.' So this middle aged man walks through my doors and tearfully says 'howya doin' J?" "I..I love you." That was the last conversation they had. In this young adolescent militant's last moments, he wanted to hear his pa's voice. It's a sight that's stayed with me. It was one of the worst days of being a Congressman. I put my arm on Frank and he hugged me and cried. He cried until he couldn't cry no more.

As your Senator I want to ensure that scenes like that are less and less. I shall seek to limit the President' war making abilities, capabilities and actions using the power invested in Congress by the U.S Constitution. I shall use every power at my disposal to ensure a lower casualty rate in american blood. I am not opposed to sendin' war material, so long as it's not a single 'nother southern, or hell, american boy overseas as a fightin' troop. I don't want to be forced to see a grown man cry. I don't want a young man to die. As your Senator I shall look Davis in the face and say 'This is for Frank and his boy Jim. He died durin' the world war. I don't want you to expand the war. I want you to end the war. If you will not end the war, then I shall run and win the Presidency so we may end the war. Not many more American families will have the burden of losin' loved ones in some shithole pakistanian-rhodesian-indonesian country fightin' for their local corrupt gubment.

That, madam, is how I will stand up t' President Davis."

"In other words," says another woman, "You'll stand up to the current president by ending a war, after he's out of office? Also, how'n the hell are we supposed to kill the commie bastards if you ain't gonna send our boys out there? Sounds like a Ladhe or a Fraser, not a Mississippian."

Sharp's tounge and tone of voice sharply changes, with a glare on the woman who spoke up.
"M'am, to be blunt, we're killin' plenty o' communist agitators. Look at the war bein' waged in 'siana! We're gittin' rid of the negro bunch that adheres to commie propaganda pumped directly from Moscow. Now, I'm sayin' we'll give it our best shot with two years. In the two years followin' my election, I shall throw everything and the kitch en sink at the communist bastards. Including Nuclear weapons in a tacteecal role. That means droppin' the equivelant o' lil' boy onna Vietnamese military formations. Not civilian or gubment cities, y'here?

However, 'fore anyones gittin' nukes or nuked, I'll confer with the soldiers onna the ground an' see if they want some american explosions 'gainst the commie bastards. In two years I shall give it my best shot, using everything that Dave's not gittin' us. But, I'll have a year study ordered to see if we're punchin' a hole through the commie bastards. If not, we're pullin' everyone out gradually and escalatin' the number o' nuke-lee-ar strikes 'gainst commie bastards. Us ground fellers don't gotta stick round long, just lob a couple o' nukes in Ho chi Minh's bathroom, eh? Fuckin' dumbass ching chong man won't know what hit 'em, an we can win the war easily!"

"God-damnit! I'll explain it simply, we're goin' t' give the war effort our best shot for six months to a year. Or maybe two years at most. That's as far as I'm willin' t' take boys n' girls n' what have y'all. Actually, here's what I'll promise all y'all, two years of a half-assed war effort against commie bastards complete with nuclear hellfire, then we're pullin' every single boy outta there. Or, even better, I just got it, we're goin' t' park our fleet and won't have a single ground troop onna the ground, just bomb the shit outta the chinese anna the chinamen of vietnam to a crisp. That way no infantry grunt will be killed and y'all mothers won't cry. If elected I shall not commit another ground troop to Vietnam.

I know damn well who cuts my checks, it's the rich-I mean the poor-I mean y'all fellers. That's why I've been fightin' fer all y'all inna the senate. I'm goin' to see to it that tax cuts for the poor fellers are passed n' sorted out. Oh and I passed the Peace Corps. It'll give y'all hippie chillen somethin' t' do inna the summer time when school's shit.

Sir, if y'all think the lawlessness n' violence that plauged Baton Rouge or wherever inna the hell Huey Louey lives is goin' to strike Cedar Grove, the negros gotta 'nother thing comin'. If the negro steps onto my propertee, I'm pumpin my war rifle and shootin' first, then askin' questions! I'm sure my neighbors in the Klan agree with me on that! No negro man will be onto my property, and I'll ensure they stay the hell away from your shops n' your windaws n' yer chillens! I don't want yer poor babies bein' hurt, that's why I'm fightin' as hard as I can 'gainst dave's illegal school desegregation methods. I'm simply obeyin' Plessy v. Ferguson. A weak old short homeless man walks over "Senator Sharp, I hear you just say the rich cuts your checks. And politicians accuse you of hating the poor and supporting rhe rich. Apparently in Miami you said the poor are criminals, you talk a whole lot about helping the poor, but have you done in your long tenure to help the poor? The new deal policies that have helped some of us poor folk you have called communist? Is helping the poor communist? What will you do to help the poor and how will you pay for it?"

Senator Sharp bitterly barked out at the couple as they left, lashing out with viper and venom in his tounge at the man and wife who were probably going to vote for the opposition now.
"Git the hell outta here ya here me! Don't come back round these parts 'gain, or I'm gonna git y'all with my friends, right-frens, where y'all goin, stay calm y'all, so what if I yelled at some gubner or whoever the hell's gonna run 'gainst me in Septemba or August o' '60, they're probably on the damn man's payroll anyhow..."
Senator Sharp's eyes frantically looked around the room as the crowd of initially happy supporters began to melt off, though Sharp was met with the gaze of a frail, bone looking bearded man. Locking eye-contact, his ears took in the question before his mouth opened up.
"I help the poor, I listen to the stories in my senate office. Beardy, if y'all wanna sit in my senate office an chat 'bout yer story, I'll see to it that y'all git a home wit a shitter that works right. Do I got rich frens, yes, what's wrong with that? I also got poor frens too. I mingle wit the poor on 'casion. I try to talk to them rich snobs less n' less these days. I'm not gonna force down socialism. That's what Roosevelt's, but mostly Earl's commie bullshit is. It's socialism n' commie-nism. Y'all don't need that. Y'alled need tax cuts. I want the poor man to keep as much money as he does make. I'll even think o' givin' y'all poor fellers a tax break.

As for what I've done personally over my long career, I've never turned down an offer to meet with me. I've met with many people throughout this state, from the rich buisnessmen to the humble dumbass. I've got many frens inna this here state. You smell like shit, though, still my friend. I shall give every poor man tax breaks n' a shelter. Homelessness ought to be ended. That's my policies. I'm goin' t' give every one o' y'all a chance to go down to yer local church, and I'll see to it that the county pays the church the money they'll need to git the supplies in order t' build homes n' what have y'all. Or ship the buildin' supplies n' hire a buncha army men to rid this nation o' hobos n' homelessness. That's what I promise to do for the poor fellers."

Secretary William Claiborne sat in his office at the State Department Building looking over some documents in preparation for the embargo of Cuba. He had been looking into who had access to the leaked documents and how they were leaked and he suspected that it was an official within the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. Perhaps an aide of the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, he thought to himself. He often spoke to the Assistant Secretary for advise on matters such as Cuba, he planned to speak with him this evening to discuss the embargo and the leaks. He redirected his focus on the embargo of Cuba, he looked over the documents and saw they were quite vague, these documents were preliminary but he decided to call the President to make clear the provisions of the embargo. He picks up the phone stationed at the end of his desk, dials the President's number and waits for him to pick up. When he does pick up Claiborne "Good day, Mr. President. I wanted to talk to you about the embargo on Cuba."

"I'm sure you're very busy Mr. President" Claiborne says as a smile begins to form across his face "and I wouldn't want to hold up your schedule for too long. But I was looking through some preliminary documents for the embargo and I found that the embargo wasn't very well defined and was very vague. So to clear things up, what you mean by an embargo of Cuba is a total stoppage of trade with Cuba, freezing of all Cuban assets in the United States, and a blockage of all Cuban Nationals from entering the United States, do I have that right?"

"Wrong. I want to reduce the import quota of brown sugar from Cuba to 700,000 tons, which will damage their economy, greatly. We've gotten intel that the Cuban government may try to nationalize our oil refineries there, and only if they do that will we launch a full-on Embargo on the commie son's a' bitches. I've been thinking about cutting our oil relations entirely, stop sending oil to them and all. We also have intel that they may nationalize all American businesses like banks, oil refineries, and sugar and coffee plantations."

Henry began to speak as he read off of a notepad, his plans, "Also, I've decided to allocate around $13.1 million to the Central Intelligence Agency for use against the Castro regime. Cuban counter-revolutionaries have agreed to work with the CIA to organize an invasion operation. None of this is public or has been released to congress. It's on a need-to-know basis. In other words, no, we are not yet stopping complete and total trade with Cuba, we are not freezing current Cuban assets, and we are not blocking Cuban Nationals. We are reducing the import quota of sugar. Honestly, I've called it an embargo so people won't ask questions, while in reality, we're doing behind-the-scenes work. The meeting we had with congress folk was simply to throw away the idea that we weren't transparent, and was mostly insignificant. Any other questions?"

He writes what Henry said down on a notepad and as Henry is speaking an aide comes into his office to help with the preliminary document on the embargo, seeing the aide come in Claiborne writes on a sticky note "See me after I'm done with this call" before handing it to him. After the aide leaves and the President finishes Claiborne speaks again "So you want this to serve as a kind of warning to the Cubans, exercising some of America's economic might, blowing damage to the Cuban economy to show what America can do, am I right in that analogy? I'll see if we can import brown sugar from other countries and if our allies might be on board with also blowing economic damage to the Cubans. I'll probably be speaking to Latin American and Carribean officials throughout the week. I presume you don't want the perception of American involvement in Cuban invasion plans at this point? Uhhh" he thinks for a moment "Do want to send a direct message to the Cubans about nationalizing oil refineries and any industries where American businesses are involved for that matter? And if so do want it to be public or private? Do what to make the reduction of the brown sugar quote visibly public at all?"

"Exactly right. I want nobody to have a clue when our invasion plan is in the planning process, and I want nobody to know the reduction of the brown sugar imports. I only want the direct message about the nationalizing thing to be public. That way, we can get folks to rally behind us by the time we exercise our invasion plan see?" Henry said writing down a few notes, "I'd actually like to sound stern, and forceful, but make sure it only sounds like a half-threat, not a full one."
