Jackson blasts RINOs. BTW, did that term exist in 1959? Because if not, it seems that Jackson invented it in this TL. :p

Senator Boone is going to place this constitutional amendment proposal in the docket some time soon, anyone want to cosponsor?

Sure, Douglas would co-sponsor the amendment.

Meanwhile Jackson announces plans for small businesses. Campaign also criticizes those who hurry to be critics of Jackson without realizing that the full campaign program will be announced gradually over the next weeks. :p

This is basically the 16th Amendment, which we already have.

The 16th Amendment taxes income as opposed to wealth. Many oppose the idea of a wealth tax on the basis that congress was never granted the power to levy such a tax under the constitution. It uses similar language, but achieves a different end so that Boone can deliver on the campaign promise to tax the wealth of people with personal fortunes exceeding a million dollars.

Louisianan, Davis shouldn't worry about press releases. :p

Don't expect Jackson to reply further to Fraser. He only replied this time because his press release and public argument with Fraser, would give much free publicity to the newly posted plan about the small businesses. With that goal accomplished, there is no need to give him further publicity. 8)

If you’re referring to the phone call to the Senator’s office, that was intentionally addressed to Mrs. Fraser. Otherwise, was there some other gaffe?

Sofia will co-sponsor this AFTER it's further simplified as there is some redundant language. I'll get back to you on that.

Just do almost0 the exact text of the sixteenth amendment and replace income with property:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on property, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Sofia will agree to co-sponsor that.
