Aww give him a chance XD

I'm starting to like him again.

Ladhe has adopted a sense of humor with just a hint of Southern charm. He learned from Sharp (and not an article I found on Google about the best insults). No accent, though. I believe the phrase is "he's not going down without a fight," and I am quite certain that Ladhe is going to die fighting.

Don't put actions or words onto my characters. You didn't reach out for a comment, because if you did, Benedict's office would have given one, I request you take that part out. Benedict never said that the Asians were mongrels, he believes such but has never publicly expressed those beliefs.

I will remove the mongrel portion; I will not, however, make any kind of change regarding the "no comment" section. Ladhe's biography, which was written by someone other than me, mentions that Ladhe has press connections that he is able to use to his advantage. Building on that, I am making the assumption that Ladhe would use those connections to attack both political and personal enemies-- take, for example, the multiple articles shared in the press regarding the Frasers. Those came from Ladhe's office, not RWC's.

Also, I would add that your post is not correct: the Senate must now vote as Gillespie has objected. Current Senatorial procedure mandates that a single objection means that information will not be struck, but that was not brought into practice until the 80s. Under the 1960s Senatorial procedure, a simple majority is needed to strike information from the record.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Senate is currently divided 50-48 with a Democratic Majority, correct? If so, then for Ladhe to be forcibly removed from his Senate assignments and (should the Senate choose to do so) expulsion would mean that the Senate would be virtually tied at 49-49 as the Veep is a Republican. Then, after the GOP governor appoints a GOP replacement, the Senate would be at 50-49 with a Veep still breaking any issues, handing the GOP the majority. This isn't a question of how healthy Ladhe is, this is Gillespie attempting to take control away from Boone via Ladhe.

Literally No. Gillespie has no ulterior motives, he's legitimately concerned for Ladhe's health. I have planned nothing for Gillespie. And as the former PPT, I was genuinely trying to correct you that you need to motion to suspend the rules to 'untable' a bill. It's on the Congress thread OP IIRC, you overreacted

Okay. While Gillespie may not have ulterior motives, you have to admit that does look like bad optics for the Senate GOP, especially if Fraser supports it. Then the case can be made that-- never mind.

I am unaware of an IIRC, which is not included in the first post of the 86th Congress's thread.

iirc means if I remember correctly, and yes it is in the OP. I wrote it myself.

If Benedict & Sophia Fraser work together to oust Ladhe from Committees (and potentially the Senate), then the case can be made by Ladhe, the Democrats, and their supporters that the GOP doesn't care about democracy & that Montana has been denied one of its democratically elected voices. It's all about the optics :P

Benedict has no plans on working with Sofia Fraser, and I'll make him reiterate that when the time comes.

Senator Sharp would love to have another shot at the White House. I'd be open to taking part in it again.

In fact, the last few days I've just been reminiscing about this RP. I mean, I could get a reboot of this going in a little while, unless someone else wants to do it.

I would be willing to set up a thread and review applications, but I would want additional OPs (including people who will handle polling and percentages in GOP primaries, in order to avoid biases).

I would be willing, yes, in fact I could resume my duties as OP again, though this time be the proper(tm) OP rather than just acting OP.

Nice. Do you want me to set up the thread (OOC first)?

Also, is this continuation from where we left or reboot?
