Well as of January 1st, Fraser telegrammed him, so he's open to a meeting on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th. he's meeting with Senator Stark on the 6th and has his inaugural governor speech on the 7th.

On another note, Bradford is listed as a republican in the first post but the app listed him as a democrat, so IDK what we're going with.

Bradford officially is a democrat, albeit a very moderate one, and can be very conservative.

I may have missed it, but are there any (player) conservative Republicans yet (aside from Jackson)?

The account was made today. It got banned. It posted it on like, 40 threads, before mods and stuff must of clocked on.

Me too, glad they took it down, that kind of stuff ruins the vibe.

Anyways, I feel like Joshua Sharp and Rodger Bradford are gonna fight each other, either metaphorically or quite literally. I mean they are polar opposites, and they are in the same party? Wow, that’s a making of a disaster.

I think something disgusting was posted but I wasn't here. A few nights ago it was just nude after nude and I had to keep reporting them. Also, there are a few conservatives. We need more Representatives and Republicans though

I don't know what I should be more impressed by... that there are threads like that one could stumble on, that they could hack his account or... that one could ever do that by accident. Each one seems less likely than the other.

I guess we will never know.

I have to copy the post, then go to the moderation thread and re post it there and they take it off of our thread. Also, I will wait for a few minutes to make sure no objections are made.

Ah, the contradiction of the 50's/60's Democratic Party summed up.

I know it’s crazy to think about it, then again it was where the Democratic Party was transitioning to become more liberal and more progressive and more for civil rights, so you’re going to have a party where you have complete racist and then black rights activists. All I have to say is that this presidential primary in 1960 is going to be interesting. ( also hint hint, Rogers might be teaming up with Fraser soon...)

BTW in this timeline, it is very possible that Republicans become civil rights leaders and the Dems stay as racist old southerners.

One thing I will be interested in for 1960 is a third party southerner. Someone like Byrd who managed to take Mississippi and Alabama. Could be a real wrench thrown in there. Especially if the election particularly close.

And I look forward to see what you have planned!

While I don't think Jackson is a great candidate for it, cross-party endorsements actually weren't that crazy back in this era. Needless to say, America was much less polarized, even despite the Civil Rights movement.

Boone is running explicitly to undercut such a possibility (he also wants to be President, but that's his selling point to the Party).

If that happens don’t be surprised if Rodgers leaves the dems. I think Roger if he wins the White House that’s probably not gonna happen...

and Sharp stays a few degrees to the right of the racist southerners, making whatever George Wallace did in Little Rock seem like he was marching on Washington with MLK in comparison.

Well Sharp's election thinking is he might convince Mississippi to have a slate of unpledged electors that go for him and Boothe. He'll probably try to only talk his home state into not only re-electing him as a senator but have the satisfaction of winning Mississippi's electoral votes.
