Fallout Rebirth

A continuation of the universe first written by New Sea Territory

It has been over three hundred years since the great atomic war, and nearly thirty since the Enclave-Legion War. The two once great nations, whose culture united the northern territories, and pitted armies whose size is the stuff of legends against once another, have fallen. Although some rogue legionaries moved on and became fearsome raiders, the few who remain are beginning to grow old and settle down. The Enclave is a shadow of its former self. The revival of pre-war culture they attempted failed miserably, and they now control nothing. New powers have arisen, with the Atomic Empire in the South, and the Great Khans in the North, both agitating these rural, tribal lands; The Khans, intent on conquering the wasteland, and the Empire, intent on converting all to Atom's faith, don't seem to be taking no for an answer. Conflict is on the horizon in 2400, but that's the way it always is. Because War...War never changes.

I want to start out by saying it is an amazing feeling that so many people showed interest in my rebirth of the fallout universe that was such a positive force in my life years ago. Thank you all :)


First things first, this in an alternate timeline of the fallout universe that diverged after Fallout 3 but before Fallout: New Vegas meaning that many of the events of Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 are not canon in this universe. Now I'm not saying they cannot happen or that you cannot take inspiration from those events for your own Factions and characters, but many many events have changed the north american wasteland across the last 150+ years. Now, I do plan on adding map's on this page in the future to make it easier for reference, but I cannot for the life of me find a decent map that works with my rather mediocre map making programs and skills. Lastly, This is a humble lore page to give newcomers a chance to go in to the roleplay with a certain degree of awareness, for every rule there may be exceptions (Just ask me first before giving your random tribal nation plasma rifles for example) and this page will be edited frequently as I continue to add further detail.

Technology Available * Without special circumstances
The wheels of progress turn slowly, slower still with the secrets of the pre-war world growing farther and farther away those few who have access elevating such information with near religious reverence.
* Save for nations descended from the Brotherhood of steel (Such as the Alaskan Brotherhood and the Steel Republic) Power Armor and Energy weapons are unavailable, the knowledge and means to produce them lost to most of the wasteland.
* Most factions do not have access to the industrial capabilities to produce machines of war such as Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Vertibird's.
*Power armor functions like it did in fallout 1-3, not relying on fusion cores for power. but acts like power armor in fallout 4 being a iron man like suit.

Religion in the wasteland
Like in the old world, the North American Wasteland is home to a myriad of different people and cultures with religious diversity being no exception

Church of the Savior- The Church of the Savior keeps to belief in loyalty and love to ones friends and family. It's text was written by a an unknown author and speaks of a chosen one, who will be born and lead the wasteland into a new golden age. This leads it's followers to in large to bring light into the world, make it a better place. Of course this is all up to personal interpretation. And we all can imagine what that does.
Military version of this brings glory to die in battle, because you must fight for a righteous and just cause dying on the battlefield brings a special honor. Most often, worship of the chosen one turns into a kind of hero worship, with important figure's such as the Vault Dweller (Fallout 1), the Chosen one (Fallout 2), Aradesh , Seth , and Tandi even Tesla and Mr. House achieving sainthood within the Faith. Very Popular in the Region of New California, with a few scattered pockets of believers in Cascadia and the Great Plains.

The Church of The Children of Atom- Championed by the Atomic Empire built around the worship of radiation and nuclear annihilation as vehicles of creation and life. Seen widely as one of the most militant faiths and viewed by most outside the empire as a cult. The State Church of the Atomic Empire, Most popular in New Texas, with a strong presence in the Western Dixie Westland and southern Great Plains.

Neo-Baptist - Born from the union of the brands of Protestantism in the American South it is not the Most popular Religion in the Dixie Westland with some minor presence further up the east coast and the American Midwest.

Neo-Catholicism - An Off-brand continuation of Catholicism dominant in Mexico, Cuba and select parts the Dixie wasteland, New Texas, East Coast and Great Plains.

Mormonism - Popularized by the New Cannonites of old, now popular in the Rockies region of Utah but almost non existent outside.

I have to say, this AU is definitely on the stranger side of things, but I'm open to give it a try, especially considering the amount of development that's been put into it :)

Out of the options that have been presented, I like the premise of the third the most, since it provides the cleanest slate for our own development, but also has this highly developed AU of yours waiting at the fringes to interact with. It'll give us all time to settle in before having to grapple with too much pre-established fannon, I think. What I would pick in this scenario would be very dependant on where it ends up being set.

I'm not a big fan of "hero-play" if I'm understanding properly, so if we did do a character roleplay I'd prefer something more... down-to-earth I guess? Like perhaps we're all a part of a trading caravan, which might also be a great way for us to travel and get introduced to the greater story and all.

The second option could also be very interesting, but it's a TBA for me depending on the lore I guess - I'm really interested to look more into that.

That's my 3 cents/caps so far, but above all thanks for putting in the work to get something like this up and running again!




P.S. I also like making maps, so I can have a go at that if it would help

Out of the options that have been presented, I like the premise of the third the most, since it provides the cleanest slate for our own development, but also has this highly developed AU of yours waiting at the fringes to interact with. It'll give us all time to settle in before having to grapple with too much pre-established fannon, I think. What I would pick in this scenario would be very dependant on where it ends up being set.

I'm not a big fan of "hero-play" if I'm understanding properly, so if we did do a character roleplay I'd prefer something more... down-to-earth I guess? Like perhaps we're all a part of a trading caravan, which might also be a great way for us to travel and get introduced to the greater story and all.

The second option could also be very interesting, but it's a TBA for me depending on the lore I guess - I'm really interested to look more into that.

That's my 3 cents/caps so far, but above all thanks for putting in the work to get something like this up and running again!




P.S. I also like making maps, so I can have a go at that if it would help

I'm glad to hear it, perhaps hero isn't the best choice of wording, I used it for dramatic effect.

I like the idea of the faction of a militia like force trying to bring law and order, but the Minutement themselves always felt and looked so meh and un military.

So will definitely be giving them that more professional feel with my faction like seen in the mod I linked
