Far-left Cultural Marxist businesses should not receive ANY relief from the government! If they have enough money to spend on promoting hatred of American society with so-called "diversity training" and critical race theory they should cut that first!!!

We should demand that companies that discriminate based on race do not get any funding! That means that companies with well known far-left beliefs like practicing racial discrimination in hiring should be banned from getting any funding from the government!

The news of a recession oncoming is depressing but predictable. When will the GOP learn letting massive corporations get away with everything is bad economic policy?

No company in Arizona that participates in discriminatory 'affirmative action' will get a penny of aid. I will make sure of that.

After Warrick concluded, Volker spoke.

“On the subject of a Payroll Tax Holiday, Mr President. I’ve written a bipartisan bill that would authorise such a measure. I have also brought copies of the bill for each person here to look over and scrutinise.” Volker said, placing six copies of the bill in the centre of the table, keeping one for himself.

Tim had waited for the leaders to put their view forward before speaking, but seeing that they were silent, he decided to jump in himself.

"The limited bailouts are necessary and the payroll tax holiday can be included, but not without significant aid to workers first. You said it yourself Senator Warrick, now is not the time to think about deficits and spending...'let's save the economy.' To that extent, appropriating $2 billion to state unemployment systems just isn't going to cut it. We can't leave this up to states to figure out; we don't know how bad unemployment is going to get, but it could well equal 2008 levels and in that case we need to have a firm federal system in place."

"We can allocate cash for states to modernize their own systems, but at the very least we should have some kind of federal program to top up unemployment aid. Direct federal cash relief is a line in the sand we are drawing, there will be no equitable recovery without it. Not to mention the fact that the public will not appreciate a package with federal bailouts for companies but not workers."

“I promise you we intend to do more than support state unemployment systems. But let’s focus on the areas we can agree first. And acknowledge that setting up a massive federal program would take a significant time and the need for aid is fairly immediate.”

"I understand that, Senator. But we're already on the brink of recession, it's coming. If people need immediate aid, only sending money to states is probably one of the less efficient ways to immediately get more cash in people's hands. I agree with you, we probably aren't going to hammer out a deal including big new federal programs, as needed as some might be. But something as simple as a guaranteed additional $600 per week to every unemployed person? To me it seems fairly obvious that would be an easier, more direct way of providing immediate aid."

Tristain nods
"Ok, I see, well it was nice meeting you, Mr. Porter. I really do hope that you secure the vote and win the primary. But one thing is for sure... you got my support and my vote!"
Said Tristain as he winks as he gets up from the chair. He walks away from the office.

Utah Governor Abernathy issued a harsh statement regarding Congress today, urging legislation to expand unemployment funding and Medicaid eligibility as well as provide block grants for infrastructure investment. He spoke bluntly, stating that Utah gave more to Washington than they got back so "it's time they give us our money back or we won't give anymore."

Gov. John Holland
@LouisianaGov

Louisiana, we must brace for impact! It is clear that a recession is looming, and we all need to do our part to protect our livelihoods in the wake of America's new economic woes. The federal government needs to act swiftly to deliver a nationwide plan for relief and recovery, and it needs to be bipartisan and smart.

Image
Gov. John Holland
@JohnHollandLA

We in the state government will do everything we can to ensure that Louisiana's families and businesses can handle the recession. We are already deep in talks with members of the state legislature from both parties to draft a relief package that works for Louisianans. Help is on the way!

Image
Gov. John Holland
@JohnHollandLA

Our state's government must be focusing all of its resources into helping Louisianans get through this crisis. As such, I have ordered a speedy review of state spending to find areas where we must redirect or cut funding that is wasting our resources on insufficient avenues and put that money into relief for the people of Louisiana. Let's get smart!

"I know that feeling." The Governor's smile faded a bit as he sat down. "Things haven't been quite as peachy on my end. The incoming recession means pretty much everything is being kicked into high gear. Lots of activity going on. We've got a Republican legislature, so it won't be too difficult to get something passed, but, y'know, this whole thing could've waited a year or two for me to get situated. Rather rude of it to start the moment I get into office." He chuckled, obviously speaking in jest.

"Regardless, we're getting a plan together at a good pace, so hopefully we'll be able to keep the economy from collapsing into a void. Anyways, would you like anything to drink?"
