Her timing couldn't have been worse. She was trapped in her office building, watching as protestors and rioters swept through downtown Wichita, frantically calling her father who lived in the outskirts of the city.

David Belkin was new on the job, but he did his best to not let it show. Years in law enforcement and the practice of law told him that he could not let his poker face slip. Sure, it was basically his first day on the job. But he’d been in the number two for years, as Attorneys General had come and gone. Even before that he was a US Attorney known for his mettle.

His first presser as Acting Attorney General would be consequential. It was quite the way to make an entrance.

“Good morning,” he said, even though the sky was just beginning to turn gray with the light of dawn. “I’ll cut to the chase. One thing I’ve lehrned ovah my decades of public service is that there’s no sense wasting time for either of us.”

He cleared his throat.

“Within the hour, the Department of Justice has concluded that there is probable cause that Former Secretary of Defense Bernard Porter, along with several other individuals committed multiple federal offenses. These include,but are not limited to distributing explosive devices which are illegal under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, transporting fireworks with harmful intention, both under Chapter 18 of the US Code, as well as the incitement of a riot, and federal arson. Given probable cause, including video evidence for these crimes, I am directing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and Explosives to apprehend and arrest Mr. Porter in and his associates in collaboration with the Atlanta Police Department this morning, after which time they will likely face charges for their actions. Thank you.”

Richard Slater (R-AR) chose not to attend any marches, not especially interested in getting involved in the inevitable chaos. He clutched his wife's hand angrily as the events unfolded.

Arnold Wolf Jr. (R-ID) campaigned in Boise about finding common ground on criminal justice issues and remaining peaceful despite the outrage. He briefly marched with protesters in the city before going back home for the day to avoid the later protests. That's enough activism for today.

John Holland (R-LA) remained in the governor's mansion for the day. He was in constant contact with the national guard and major police forces in anticipation of the protests.

Philip Crawford (D-KY) assisted with organizing protests in Louisville, joining in the march for justice and speaking to the crowd about the need for real action and unity in the face of hate and abuse of power. He remained at the protests into the night.

Elisa Hidalgo (D-CO) marched in Denver until the evening, at which point she went to a meeting with several local black leaders to hold a listening session on criminal justice.

Mudale arrived at the "frontlines" not long after protests began. She did a photoshoot alongside the police officers and held up a sign saying "back the blue". It was posted to all her social media pages with the simple tagline of "back the blue". She then gave a speech to a crowd of pro-police individuals and recorded the video to be posted up to her social medias.

"My whole life I have stood by our law enforcement officers. My father was a Commissioner of the Andalusia Police Department, and I served as District Attorney of Covington County for eight years. I understand the need to hold up the law more than any one.

I support the brave working men and women of our law enforcement, in direct contrast to the dangerous ideology of extreme anti-police rhetoric. I whole heartedly condemn the recent attacks on our officers nationwide. Just today a policeman was killed by radical leftist protestors in Columbus, Ohio. Even before the recent unrest our brave policemen and women have been under attack by far-left extremists for several years now. It is our law enforcement official's job to keep our communities safe, not to have to fight for their lives on a daily basis.

Our own politicians have consistently endorsed pro-crime policies. Cities like Chicago have allowed illegal immigrants to come into our communities and repeatedly commit crimes without punishment. How can our law enforcement agencies do their job if they can't stop criminals from coming into our neighborhoods again and again?

Without police, there is chaos. Defunding our police is an invitation to criminals that they can do as they please. I wholeheartedly oppose cutting funding from our police departments and giving leeway to dangerous criminals and anarchists. We must support the brave men and women who keep us safe. We must back the blue, FUND our police and stand up for LAW and ORDER.

I have one small ask, vote for me Christina Mudale for senate on November 3rd and I will defend our policemen. Thank you, God bless you all, and God bless our brave police!"

The Louisiana National Guard will be keeping the peace and they will not hesitate to arrest rioters. Do not take out your anger on our neighborhoods! Do not take things out on your neighbors!
