BREAKING: AT LEAST 1 DEAD IN FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA CLASH BETWEEN NATIONAL GUARD, PROTESTORS

Emazia wrote:Federal States of Xathuecia wrote:As both sides faced off in song, the peace was broken off as fireworks rang out. The crowd was spooked and already Cassius and others angrily yelled.
“What are you doing?!? Someone is gonna get hurt!” they argued when, either by accident or twisted intention, a loaded firework was sent too low to the ground. It zipped over the heads of Cynthia and other singers, exploding and creating chaos in the crowd. “They are shooting at us, the f*cking Nazi’s are shooting!” yelled a young activist. Immediately, the crowd began to scramble and a semi-stampede began. Cassius moved to the side, looking for his wife as chaos erupted once again all broadcasted by the cameras and social media that had moments before been praising their singing.
Porter, seeing the chaos, began to yell: "STOP SHOOTING THE FIREWORKS! STOP NOW! PUT THEM DOWN! PUT THE TORCHES AND EVERYTHING DOWN, HELP PEOPLE EVACUATE!"
A few fireworks had hit the nearby buildings, causing some flammable materials to light on fire across the area, Porter himself stepped down, trying to help evacuate people. He stepped into both sides, simply trying to help people leave. At this point, the cameras, while still on, had reduced in quality slightly due to all the chaos.
"GO, GO, GO!" He kept on yelling, as the stampede continued. He helped pick a few people up from the floor, and just kept on going...But the fire slowly closed in on him, and he could feel a fire in his hand. And then suddenly a strong sting. His hand had turned black, as he yelled out in pain. He slowly staggered again, but was able to find water in time, merely left with a scar on his hand...

Governor Jonah Prendergast Jr.
@JPJ4WV
President Tawney's appeal to peace and justice was sound and warm to hear, and his leadership in this time of national crisis is as resolute as the Desk from which he gave his address. I am happy to see that protestors here in West Virginia have stayed peaceful. God bless!

Attorney General Jack Vichter (D-OH): Jack Vichter spent the day coordinating with local police the response to mass demonstrations. Peaceful demonstrations were ignored but monitored for signs they could turn violent. Columbus rang alarm bells statewide, and Jack spent the day with the Governor and on calls with police commissioners. Those responsible for killing the police officer on Columbus would be brought to justice. As he left the building to meet with community leaders and help bring down tensions, he was harangued by journalists. He issued a short one-liner, "the people responsible for the death of the police officer in Columbus will be brought to face justice. I sympathize with the peaceful demonstrators across Ohio and hear you, we need to do more for police officers to be trusted by their communities and to keep those who serve on the force, safe from harm."
Senator Jillian Dayton (D-VA): Jillian joined peaceful marchers in Norfolk, Virginia in the afternoon, and expressed continued support for police reform. She spent her morning in policy briefings and with community leaders in Richmond, then moved across to Norfolk for the march. "We cannot have true justice and peace in the United States if police officers and the community they serve can't work together. Congress should address the concerns of Americans demonstrating and make our police departments nationwide more responsible, and measured."
Senator Deborah Feyrer (R-AL): Deborah Feyrer was angry. These ungrateful wenches were attacking her heritage, so she attended an All Lives Matter march in Birmingham in the morning, and Montgomery in the afternoon. At both she delivered similar sentiments, such as; "our heritage is under attack! Radical Liberals come for our police officers and tear down our statues, fight them friends, do not allow our communities to be overrun by socialist coastal elites! Use your second amendment rights, they're there for a reason!" She joined her brethren, marching into the night.

Utah Governor Dawson Abernathy knelt with Black Lives Matter protesters in Salt Lake City before announcing an immediate executive review of racial incidents involving the state's police departments and National Guard. "People are mourning right now and Utah will stand on the right side of history by listening to nonviolent activists. Violence will never be the answer." rebuked the governor.

Burton spent the day sequestered in the White House. Over the course of the day, the news worsened, while Burton ricocheted between meetings on six different topics all at once. The economic briefing was the morning issue, then racial unrest, foreign policy, then a briefing on some terrorist hideout to be drone struck, a migrant crisis briefing, then an update which began with, "Bernard Porter. Violence. Georgia."
He entered his office furious. He yelled out to his secretary, "get me Belkin!" as night began and protests continued to climb.

Mainers showed the country what peaceful protests look like. I am proud of my state for staying nonviolent while still demanding change and action. The wheels of justice are turning.

Burton sighed a sigh of relief, "thank goodness, the President is very eager to see anyone fermenting violence arrested. Do you need anything from the White House?"

Two people were hurt today, two people from distinctly different backgrounds and two different sides of the political spectrum. Bernard Porter seemed to have been accidentally shot by a firework that came from his crowd, whilst Martin Spellman seemed to have been pushed to the ground and his wife injured. I am unsure of what happened to Mr. Spellman exactly, but this much is clear; we need to calm the hell down. Shit like what happened today is why the aliens won't talk to us. I'm damned proud of Louisiana for staying peaceful, good job folks.

Americans need to come together. We need to stop politicizing these events, we need to come together. We need to bring more respect to this country. How are we supposed to stand up to China, if we as Americans can't stand up together and protest their two different beliefs without having violence, riots, and sing-offs that end in stampedes? ASSEMBLY, DUE PROCESS, COURTS, JUDICIAL BRANCH. Four things America has that many other countries don't. Use those systems to protest, don't use a tragic death as a reason to break into businesses and take TV's and steal X-Box Ones while rioting. If you want to do all that bullshit, do it in your hometown, don't mess up our towns.

I'm in Georgia, for a family wedding, I left Angelle at home because she has Bingo in the morning. For the first time, in all our married years, I was afraid to let her drive herself to the Bingo in Lafayette. It's a damn shame folks. Louisiana has GOT to stay peaceful. Rioters, don't come. Troublemakers, don't come. We don't need riots, and we sure as hell don't need tear gas on our roads. Protest if you want to, but don't burn our streets, don't burn our businesses. I'll say it like this, if you ain't from here, then we don't want you here causing trouble, cause trouble where you come from, and let us live our happy lives.

Any rioters, black or white, anybody promoting violence, black or white, ought to be swiftly and promptly put in jail. I stayed my ass indoors, them troublemaking rioters don't want me to open up a can of whoop-ass, I'll tell you what. I think love is always the answer, but I keep a gun just in case. Don't mess with Louisiana or her people, or you'll have 4.65 million cans of whoop-ass unleashed.
