As several busloads of counter-protesters had been brought in, mostly from nearby rural areas within Georgia itself, the counter-protesters, who named themselves "Back the Blue Georgia", had begun to pour in. They waved all sorts of flags, but none particularly offensive - care was taken to prevent another Birmingham - and the flags themselves ranged from the Gadsden flag, the Blue Lives Matter flag, plain and simple American flags, along with one particularly notable group carrying the flags of every ex-Confederate state, standing in unity. They, in solidarity with the police, all wore blue vests and jackets, waving their flags as they chanted and marched across the city, with Porter himself wearing a blue suit and tie and carrying an American flag.

They marched through several blocks, and had then met a crowd of people at a Confederate statue, specifically that of Robert E. Lee. Porter had got himself set up, his podium visible to both the Back the Blue and the Black Lives Matter protesters. He fixed his microphone, standing in front of a Blue Lives Matter and an American Patriot Front flag, along with an American flag on the podium itself.

"Georgians. Southerners. Americans. Rouse, rouse, to the action, to the defence of your heritage against those who would destroy it. To the defence of your liberty, of your God-given right to your history, to your own nation. We will not, as good Southern men, be denied our own history, be denied of the fights of our ancestors for states' rights and for the idea of self-government. Of course, I have never supported slavery - but despite what some New Yorker on some liberal university campus might tell you, that wasn't what the Civil War was about. I find it hard to believe my ancestors fought to own slaves. And frankly, they didn't.

The myth that the Civil War was about slavery is one of the many myths that are propagated by the radical left, who seek to tear down the history of not just every red-blooded Southerner, but of every right-thinking American. As George Orwell once said, "the most effective way to destroy a people is to obliterate their own understanding of their own history."

And what reasonable, intelligent man could not see that this is what they seek to do? To destroy the American people, the American heritage, and to cause anarchy in our streets. You can hear it when they say "defund the police, defund the police, defund the police" and talk about burning our policemen in cloth. Of course, as my opponents are keen to remind you, these people are not the majority of Democrats. They are just a tiny fringe...A tiny fringe within the American population, perhaps, but their demographics - well-educated, young, atheistic - give them inordinate power over the affairs of the American nation. They have control of the Democratic Party as we know it, and their overt, most extreme wing, born in the ghost of Levi Murphy, barely dodged defeat. Of course the Democratic establishment couldn't handle him - he was a man who was clear about what he wanted to do. But make no mistake, Jillian Dayton wants to do the same things when she gets in the White House.

And let me tell you what they want to do, those masters of the political class, haughty in their power. They want reparations. They believe white men should pay for something their ancestors did, the original sin of white guilt, I would call it. They say..." He began to point at random white people in the crowd, "They say you are a racist, you are a racist, you are a racist, all because the people at the top 250 years ago had the same skin colour as you. That doesn't prove anything. My ancestors weren't rich, they weren't slaveowners - they owned their own land, and they grew corn and wheat on it. They say I'm a racist for telling this to you, they say I'm a racist for making their plans clear.

But who is the real racist? Me, a decent, honest Southern man, or the party of the KKK, the party of eugenicists who later inspired the Holocaust and the party of those who brush aside the real and genuine concerns of black men and women for identity politics. Let me ask you..." He pointed to one of the very, very few non-white people on his side of the crowd. "What do you want for your family?"

"I want a good future for my family, Secretary. I want actual assistance. I want work, since I lost my job a few months ago. I don't want empty identity politics coming from people who think they know better than us." The man replied.

"Exactly." He then turned to the Black Lives Matter side of the crowd. "If black lives really mattered to you, then what are you doing to help black lives? You're standing here, doing what exactly? Looting shops? Stabbing police officers? You don't care about black lives at all! It's just virtue signalling done by a radical left agenda designed to put this nation under the thumb of anarchists and communists.

I am not scared of you. I am not scared of any of you. You can go out here and yell whatever nonsense you want at me. You can call me a racist, you can call me a pig, but I nearly died for your right to say that. I nearly died for your right to peacefully protest. I fought in the freezing mountains of Afghanistan, the hot deserts of Iraq and the urban hellscape of Somalia. You do not scare me."

He stepped down from his podium, detaching the microphone to approach the BLM side of the crowd.

"I fought the men who tore down the twin towers, I fought the men who were going to drop nuclear weapons on America. And I will fight the men who want to turn this nation into an anarchist state. So, tell me..." He walked through an opening, being followed by the cameras. "What do you have to say to me?" He said directly, giving his microphone to one of the protesters.

"What do I think, Mr. Secretary? I think you're a racist pig." The man replied, pulling out a container of chocolate milkshake and throwing it at Porter's face on camera.

Porter was then knocked to the floor - almost purposely dragging himself to the floor - by the milkshake, as he glared the man in the eye.

"And I think you're an anarchist thug." Porter remarked, as the police lines closed up to ensure that the two sides wouldn't clash. He simply wiped himself off on the floor, and had only got the chance to stand up later.

But the rest of the crowd...They had a different reaction. As the milkshake landed on Porter's face, obscenities began to be exchanged on both sides, as both sides called each other all sorts of crude names and epithets. All Porter could do was sit and watch...

Since the issuance of the last statement, Governor Marshall has grown more concerned as the situation in Wichita has deteriorated, with both Wichita City Hall and Police Station being set ablaze. Consequently, the Governor has issued the following directives to be implemented immediately:

1: All Kansas National Guard units currently deployed in Wichita are to be issued with non-lethal weaponry, with the public carrying of such weapons also being permitted.

And now as he sat down, watching Fox News as it began covering events in D.C., the Congressman began to get concerned, knowing that Sadie would probably still be either on the Hill or near the White House, the very place where the protest was forming at.

“Of course, the protests were still peaceful for now, but for how much longer?” Thomas asked himself as his concern began to show through, at least if anyone was in the room at that point in time. Consequently, he picked up his cellphone and, rushing through his contacts until reaching that of his daughter, he started the call, anxiously waiting for Sadie to pick up.

The two briefly discussed the events unfolding before them before a member of Bennett's group suggested exiting the shop through a back door, which the anxious team agreed to. Making their way through a labyrinth of back alleys, they managed to exit at a seemingly quiet, peaceful street where a small group of people, fellow protesters were walking in an unknown direction. Approaching them, Reverend introduced himself and quickly became acquainted with the other group.

"You guys came from the Capitol." The leader of the other group asked.

"We did, yes. It's rather chaotic back there."

"So I've heard. We're going to another location, some morons are counter-protesting and we want to make sure they don't feel too okay with themselves. You should join us."

"Oh, I don't know. We've been through a lot already and to be honest, we're somewhat lost."

"You're not from around here?"

"No."

"Us neither, I know there's going to be some folks from around here at the protest, they'll tell you where to go."

With that, the groups temporarily merged, Bennett's group largely quiet and exhausted, while the other talkative and agitated. The walked a couple of blocks before reaching the "other location", where police presence was incredibly scarce as two opposing groups began a stand off. The armed "back the blue", self appointed peacekeeping militia was met by a number of men and women of different skin colors chanting pro-BLM slogans. A particularly agitated protestor began to yell at the militiamen calling them names from before starting to approach them. Holding a can of spray paint, the masked gentleman waved his hands as he continued his march towards the armed group.

"STOP RIGHT THERE, HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" Yelled a young, zealous militia member as he pointed his rifle at the approaching man.

"OR WHAT? WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE KID? YOU'RE NOT A FUCKING COP! GET YOUR ASS OU--" he tried to continue as his argument was cut short by a shot coming from the militia. Concerned, a member of Reverend Bennett's group began running to the wounded man only to share his tragic fate. Gabriel tried to stop them, to no avail, ultimately deciding not to approach the militia fearing for his and his friends' lives.

Staff poured in and out of the Oval Office as preparations were being made for President Tawney's primetime address to the nation. Equipment was carried in as the Press Secretary was ensuring that every detail of the scene that was about to be presented was as tasteful as possible. The busts of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. were brought to a more prominent place in the room, while the remnant of the Wolf era, the Equestrian statue of Andrew Jackson was moved out of frame.

In the meantime, the president was reviewing his notes, making sure that he delivers his remarks in the right way. Tawney was fully aware of the gravity of the situation and knew that his actions could change the trajectory of the events unfolding across America, one way or another. Eventually, a knock came at the door and Richard was asked to enter the Oval Office.

Once again he took his seat behind the Resolute Desk and finished his preparations for what was about to come.

My fellow Americans,

Tonight I want to address the ongoing situation as countless Americans take it to the streets to express their discontent with the sudden passing of Marlon Ward in Wichita, Kansas.

As tensions rise, so do calls for justice. However, the arrest of the two police officers accused of causing serious harm and fatal injury to Marlon Ward made earlier today shows that the rule of law is already being upheld. Law enforcement officers are hard at work investigating the tragic incident in Wichita. But the process of delivering justice is being made harder by violence and anger. This is why I ask all of those participating in events across our nation to maintain peace. Do not let your cause be overtaken by violent actors who seek to hijack your ideals for their own ends, report and document instances of rioting, looting and violence.

Sadly, the trajectory of many events in our nation has forced me to deploy the National Guard to the Capitol and other vital governmental institutions within the District of Columbia. I am doing so not to incite anger or violence, but rather to ensure the safety of our elected officials. Again, the presence of violent agitators should be immediately reported, either to the organizers of the event you are a part of or to the law enforcement officers, whose presence is meant to ensure your safety.

Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. rightly suggested that the solution to the challenges of his day is not violence, but the principle of love. Over 50 years since his passing, his famous principle still stands true. We should not fight fire with fire. To quote Reverend King: "The beauty of non-violence is that it makes it possible for the individual to struggle to secure moral ends through moral means.".

I am also deeply concerned by the calls of a number of political leaders to defund police forces across the nation. I think that any reasonable, law-abiding citizen can recognize the calls of a radical few for what it is - a cynical attempt at establishing a political brand, raising one’s profile by exploiting anger present in a number of communities across our country for personal benefit. This administration, and hopefully those after it, will not permit such a thing to happen. As the President of the United States I have a duty to protect my fellow Americans and I will continue to do so.

So please, if you choose to protest, make sure to use the power of the argument and not the argument of power. Keep calm and stay safe.

"We need to keep inciting tensions. The war is coming..." He put his hand on a book.

"Well, metaphorical war. The spiritual war. But this is our chance."

"Alright, I'll get working on it, but what specifically do you need to be done?"

"I need a bunch of bots, just replying and tweeting, with our own little hashtags. We'll have two different types."

"Uh huh, go on." Berkowitz was taking notes, listening intently to Porter.

"We need one to be on our side, to virtually astroturf. Repeat our slogans, chant our talking points, so on and so forth. Preferably, we'd also like ones that are a bit more...spicy."

"Mhmm..."

"And then we need one on the other side, yelling all sorts of communist, anarchist nonsense, maybe even some stuff coming from black nationalism: you know, kill all white people, that sort of thing."

"Alright."

"I want these tweets to be targeted at people in major hotspots. Especially New York - I want you to target the Bronx on that one, along with North Carolina - so we can give Richardson a hard time, maybe Chicago. Just hit everywhere you can, but especially North Carolina. Do it where you think it can help us. Make sure that they can't see it all comes from one place, or from us directly."
