So... between last month and now, Hypolite dropped four points?? He has literally said nothing, done nothing, since before Porter's little accident. I made sure to stay away from the RP after that to stop myself from accidentally doing or saying something stupid and ruin Hyppies chances, what could have possibly happened that dropped him 4% because thats what he was leading by. This is unless the NPC grew by four points, which would be understandable if Hyppie didn't do a 64 parish campaign tour, which he did.

Gaspard has had a number of 'strikes' before now, he's incredibly controversial and hugged Porter like crazy while doing everything in his power to sink Richardson even after he won the nom. He would need to have an incredibly strong come to jesus moment about it to recover.

He's had many come to Jesus moments, which is why he is still four points ahead. I have legit stayed away from this RP in past weeks to stop from getting more 'strikes' so again I ask, what has Hyppie done in recent days to lose 4 or more points as well as lose the Republican lead?

Hello all...

For the foreseeable future - and maybe forever - I intend to step back and leave the RP. Those who know me are aware that I intend to sit Medicine entry exams in the coming few months, and having recently started a new job, I need an extended period of time to truly decide what I want to do on this RP. Admittedly, a complete departure would disappoint me, but to stick around could be detrimental on other aspects of my life. For this reason, I intend to disappear somewhat officially, while I will leave the door open to returning, it would only be on a limited one-character basis.

The team of people who've been rendering advice and supporting the Dayton Campaign, you will ideally soon have a new overlord of a candidate to cooperate with you all on it's future, unfortunately, it can't and won't be able to be me no matter what. Now, some of my characters are largely 'forgettable' or have clear outs. Howard is retiring and has a scheduled death-date in my headcanon, Fiona Lowell is underused and dispatchable, and Joe is irrelevant.

There are however three characters who's roles need direct and immediate attention.

First, is Jillian Dayton and the Dayton Campaign's apparatus - I have no shortlist of people to take over this character, but I have enormous love for her and the family she brings. I would like to find a good home for her that will do the campaign justice and give Richardson the hell he deserves. My Telegrams & Discord DMs are open if anyone wants to take her on.

Second, is Deborah Feyrer and the Alabama GOP Matriarch position she holds. There are headcanon elements of Deb I'd like to hand to someone, but her future player would need to understand the extent to which she has her 'Debisms' and what she foresees as her future. She can retire in 2022 if nobody wants to play a batshit crazy Republican Senator, but I'd like someone to take her on.

Third, is Jack Vichter. The character I enjoyed creating the most, and have had the most fun campaigning as, the Ohio Democratic A.G. isn't up for auction *just yet*, and is on autopilot for the next few weeks, if I do return on a reduced basis it would be with the one character - Mr. Vichter.

Some of you may already be aware but Gordano is taking a leave of absence for an indeterminate amount of time. For the time being the Speakership falls from Simone to Nez, played by New Cobastheia. I have every faith in NC to perform this job however should Gordo not return in a timely fashion the democratic party is going to need to elect new congressional leadership in the near future. We are still working on the best way to handle the absence of Gordo/Simone in the RP so please dont make twitter posts about it quite yet. Biography: Jeremey was raised rough in Maine. Every weekend he went up camping with his dad and hunted with him. He always liked hunting. Nobody knows why but it’s fostered his ignorance as he thinks he doesn’t need new tricks. At age 13 Jeremy got into politics, watching Clinton’s debates he at first identified as a Democrat in his Republican family. And he always got into debates with his religious father about Clinton’s presidency. His Democrat identity changed in 2000, when Clinton was in heat. Knowing he’d be one of Clinton’s cronies if he supported him. So felt attracted to the Republican Party.

In 2000 Jeremey was 19 and was able to vote, he thought Al gore would end up the same as Clinton, and he abandoned ship. Voting Republican. In the next few years as Bushes popularity declined Jeremy was gonna abandon ship again but he went onward. Distancing himself from Bush in his friend group and beginning to be a newer Republican. And now it looks like things may be going up for him. After enrolling in The university of Maine In 99 Jeremy was pretty good. He excelled in history and politics and was a great speaker in class. When he was 20 a relatively poor Jeremy found a job as a lab assistant. It wasn’t much but it was something, once he graduated at History in college Jeremy was a substitute teacher and was mediocre. He tried his best but teaching wasn’t for him. So when he was 26 he moved to Texas and became a farm hand and did that for a couple years. In Maine Jeremy felt like it wasn’t going to get him anywhere and Texas looked like a place to get things done. Jeremy still had an empty hole though and that needed to be filled, and that was to be in Washington, but right now he needed to make cash.

At age 32 he got his own farm and earned a lot. Many came to him after his first year for his dairy products. And he made connections with old farmers and newbies. Once he was 37 Jeremy wanted to head to Washington, entrusting the farm to his friend Mike. In the race for representative of the 25th district. he did well at first. With his great speaking skills he was in the lead and his opponent struggled, but his ego had stumped him. He made often brash claims that he was perfect, this hurt his support and lost him the lead. as his opponent was getting ahead he said “Jeremy ketcher will make Texas a place for fools because of his ego” so for the next few days he worked on himself and he did good. And he won! Jeremy was filled with happiness as he was heading to his dream, a 38 year old Jeremy went to Washington for Texas. Jeremy’s first few days weren’t good, he was terrible at arguing his points as he got heated. And he wasn’t a good listener. But he knew if he wanted to stay in Congress he had to work on his congressional image and public one. So ge did that and although less egotistical and hot headed he still had that ignorance. But he hid it to keep himself popular.

And of course, the Biography in the app needs to be expanded to reach his current point in life as it seems to stop around the time he's in his early 20's at best. Things that should be included are if he went to university, and where and what degrees if he did, what jobs he's held over the years, and the general life story of how he ended up running for and winning office.

It's definitely a good start! Before I continue, I should add in here that I'm not an OP for the RP, but I am I long-term player here and have seen OPs help new players create apps that can be accepted by OPs several times at this point. Just didn't want to give the impression that I can accept the app myself.

But regardless of that, some things that can be added to the app at this point are: 1) Why did he move to Texas? I can get the looking for the new job angle, but why Texas specifically? Going from Maine to Texas is a rather far move just to become a farmhand after all. 2) At one point the app says Jeremy has an "empty hole that needed to be filled", is this referring to some kind of ambition Jeremy has? If so, I feel that the app could be greatly expanded if you expand on this aspect of his character. 2) What district does he represent in Congress, we know he's from Texas but Texas has 36 different congressional districts after all. 4) What was his degree from the University of Maine in? 5) Don't forget to split blocks of text into different paragraphs, it makes the app much easier to read and generally makes it look much more aesthetically pleasing.

Finally, below is a character who was accepted a while back (shoutout to its creator, Louisianan), feel free to use it and any other app that's been accepted to get the general feel of what we like to see in an application before it's accepted. Fair warning though, a lot of apps, especially the more recently accepted ones, are rather long and go into massive amounts of detail because we have a lot of long-time players here working on their 4th or 5th character who like to write those kinds of apps, for now just worry about the major points of the character's life and what got them to Congress.

Biography: Linda Lazare was born in 1980 to parents Wilfred and Molly Lazare, she was raised in a mostly poor household. her father was a disabled veteran, while her mother was a bus driver. Linda was a very studious child, she was a 3.8 GPA student most of her life. She graduated high school and went into the University of Houston for Nursing. During college she became interested in politics, especially after the (Not-Bill Clinton) scandal. After she graduated college, she began volunteering at Soup Kitchens and Homeless shelters and became a secretary at a local law firm. As time went on, she noticed her parents going deeper and deeper into debt, she looked into it, and found out that they were paying for her College expenses which were way more than Linda originally thought. Linda was furious that politicians were touting how important education was, and how it would help in the future, and yet force people to pay these outrageously high expenses.
She wrote to her Republican Representative about her issue, and nothing was done, no response or anything.

While in college, Linda also helped out at many blood drives. After college, Linda became aware of the Healthcare Crisis in America. After college, Linda became a Certified Nurse, and worked at various hospitals on and off, part time. Linda took an interest in politics and decided that would be her strong suit, and that her time as a nurse could help her.

In the late 2000s (Not Hillary Clinton) Announced her campaign for US President and Linda was inspired, she joined (not Hillary's) campaign staff and worked to help her win. Linda grew in the ranks and became (Not-Hillary's) scheduling coordinator. Eventually, it was obvious that a (Not-Hillary) nomination would soon come so Linda joined Rashid Baharia's campaign staff and worked with his Scheduling Coordinator to get things done. She helped him campaign in many key states that led to his victory.

Later on in 2009 she decided that she would run for Congress. She ran for US Representative for the 7th District, she was primarying three more popular Democrats and came last at the end of the primary. She didn't let this deter her, she ran three more times in 2011 she didn't make the primary,in 2015 she won, and 2017 she lost the general Election.

In her 2015-2017 term as Representative she blames her low successes on then President Elect Wolf She worked to keep the ACA and help expand healthcare and getting it to the people who need it most, this made her unpopular with the wolfists who were very common at the time which made her lose the 2017 reelection. Her approval rating at the time of her departure was at about 67% but still she lost with only 46% of the vote going to her.

Then, in 2019 she ran again, this time she ran on a more middle liberal platform, she ran with the Me Too movement, with some support from the BLM movement, and attended many Protests and Marches with them, she would protest with Healthcare Activists, and the leader of Houstons Women on The Move group once said, "If we can't trust the Republican women in office to help us, we need a strong Democratic woman and Linda is that lady." With assistance from Women's rights groups and some help from the BLM group she won the Primary and the general election and was sworn in office on January 3rd 2019.

Other Info:
She is Pro Choice, she believes we should have better background checks for weapons, while not banning them entirely. She believes in raising the taxes on the rich, lowering the price for universities, cheaper healthcare, and helping the climate. She leans towards Jillian Dayton in the 2020 Election though she has not made an endorsement yet and supports the Equality Act and supports the Carbon Fund Act, as well as the Fair House Apportionments Act.
