Are you living under a rock bruh? America went this crazy over REAL George Floyd. I'm surprised Washington State doesn't have a COP or a CHAZ zone yet.

The bill won't get put on the agenda, I don't think that Santiago should make this his 'thing'. Leadership is taking a firmly anti-Cuba stance.

I've been thinking about Santiago. He might still put it forth and publicly announce to his possible constituents in Hialeah what he's trying to do, but slam the Democrats if they oppose him. He doesn't care if it goes anywhere (though he would like it to) but he wants to show he tried. And if he makes some deals with Republicans, then he could get it some steam, but the Democrats would lose Florida. I think the embargo would cancel out any "socialist!!" name calling, especially since the Democrats have a better case for calling the Republicans fascist after Bernie Porter's stunts. Santiago knows that, and he could chain at least some Democrats to that bill. It would likely cost them Florida in the General Election, in any case.

I think you ought to just listen to the person who plays the highest-ranking House member, when they are the leaders of the Dem Party. I think your best bet is to just coast along, I don't think Santiago is in too much danger. Stick with the party, and you ought to be fine I think, I'm not too educated on your race in particular but idk if you'll have to fight too hard to keep your seat.

If Santiago wants to do a bill that leadership'd be amenable to, it'd be something which reopens the asylum process for those fleeing authoritarian socialist regimes in Latin America.

For the next four hours or until further notice, there is to be no further posting in the IC regarding the ongoing incident between Bernie Porter, and the effort to arrest and try him. All other elements of this RP continue unabated, you may continue to act regarding ongoing events in other states.

This is solely to allow Admins who have been asleep or away to catch up and process what's happening.

Expanding this embargo for 24 hours, unless I or Sana lifts it before then, consider Porter-related posting embargoed.

Expanding this for another 12 hours, much love.

Might we be updated on who has and who has not been fully briefed and brought up to date on the events of May 30th? This is a major event that is currently unfolding, we can't easily continue our characters' lives without mentioning these events.

I personally think that the government ought to dictate what the military does, and Emaz dictates what Porter does. If player military leaders/ president says, "Negotiate" then the ball will be in Porters court. I personally think a Waco is very avoidable here and it should be the duty of the players to stop that from happening. I doubt we can retcon as much stuff as has already passed.

Put Jack Chambers in charge and he will have Porter killed with poison corn.
Put Everitt Colbert in charge and he will send in Delta Force, Navy Seals, and Marines to capture him and put him on trial for treason.
