Micheal Wayne Robins was born on May 1st, 1966 in Scottsboro, Alabama. Scottsboro was home to infamous 'Scottsboro Boys' incident in the Civil Rights Movement, Micheal grew up in a harshly divided and hurt state. With the end of segregation many communities both black and white now had to heal, and learn to live together. When he was 6 his family moved to Selma, Alabama where he saw even more division. Micheal saw some of these struggles firsthand as he went into his Middle and High School years, at 18 he graduated Selma High School and began to study law at The University of Alabama. In 1990 he graduated and began his career as a Lawyer in North Alabama. Six years later he ran for and won the race for the Mayor of Huntsville. Under his guidance the Rocket City exploded, under a progressive leadership in the middle of a hardcore Republican State. The economy reached levels it hadn't seen before, and even the state hadn't seen since Birmingham's heyday as a steel center. He held the Mayoral position until 2008, when he ran for Alabama State Representative, which he won. He attempted to bring that same Progressiveness to Montgomery, but it was much less popular there.

On April 27th, 2011, when many people were salvaging what they could after the costliest and deadliest tornadoes in states history ripped a path from Tuscaloosa into Georgia, Robins was busy trying to help get people back unto their feet. He supported a package that would send a large amount of money to the tornado victims, potentially saving their lives. His proposal was shot down. This failed proposal was the beginning of his end in Montgomery. In 2014 he resigned his position and returned to his law practice, this time moving to his hometown of Selma. In 2018 he re-entered politics, to become the Representative for his home 7th District. He eventually dropped out because of personal issues, but he was a heavy favorite. But in 2020 he plans on running again
