Skills: -Passionate. Albert feels emotions and feels them greatly. This leads him to become very attached to a cause, or a person who treats him right.
-Morality. Albert has a very strong sense of right and wrong, leading him to join the anti-apartheid movement in the first place.
Weaknesses: -Impulsiveness. Albert can be a Leeroy Jenkins, rushing into situations or committing social blunders that get him in trouble.
-Ignorance. Albert doesn't know much about history, geography, or anything beyond his life and the places where he lives in general.

Background:

Backstory: Spamandla Daza was born in a small Zulu village in what is now KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. His family were poor farmers, but luckily, his village was near a public school. When Spamandla went to school, the teachers forced him to change his name to an English one. Spamandla chose the name "Albert", which he went by till the end of his days. Albert had to drop out of school at 14 to support his family.

When Albert grew up, he wanted to move to the big city, Johannesburg, to get rich. But alas, apartheid meant he couldn't stay in the city unless a white employed him, and no white would hire a black for a well-paying job. Albert became a gardener, but he hated it, not necessarily for the work but for what it symbolized: disenfranchisement.

In 1955, Albert joined the ANC, or African National Congress. Despite not having very much education, Albert tried his best to help the anti-apartheid cause any way he could. After 1960, however, when the ANC was made illegal, Albert Daza got arrested. The authorities mistook Albert for another guy, however, and Albert was sent to the infamous Robben Island.

Albert Daza languished in Robben Island. He met Nelson Mandela, and nursed thoughts of escaping, but the situation was hopeless. Albert began to wonder if he would ever be freed.

Cause of death: Albert Daza died a horrible death of tuberculosis after more than twenty-five years in prison, just a few months before the ANC would be legalized and Nelson Mandela freed.

Name: Teng Nuan
Gender: Female
Appearance: Nuan is slim and petite with thick, flowing black hair that reaches down to her hips when it is down, though she customarily binds it in a peasant's queue. Her eyes, dark like the fertile earth or like soy sauce, are narrow, friendly, inquisitive. There is something about them that hints at kindness, but also at shyness. Her nose, like her frame, is slim, but her cheeks are slightly broad and her lips are neither too thin nor full. There is a delicate balance about her features, a sort of harmony that gives her a natural beauty.

From a continuity perspective it makes sense for it to be her natural colour when she woke up... but that is to do with the next arc.
