Doctor Samuel Hayden stood on the bridge of the A.R.C Carrier, watching various officers run about, shouting status reports. Fighters flew around in the skies above, keeping watch. A few hundred meters away from the carrier, sat the A.R.C.S Bismarck. From the distance, its crew seemed like tiny ants running across the deck.
Sighing, even though he had no need to breathe, Hayden walked further onto the bridge and looked onto the huge deck of the Carrier, watching as various mechs were brought out and dropped onto land to secure the surrounding area. Meanwhile, the Slayer was pacing restlessly back and forth on the tip of the ship. Being shaken out of his thoughts, Hayden turned to a nearby intern.
“Intern, is the atmospheric scan complete?”
The intern nodded. “Yes, Dr. Hayden. Scan shows no known demonic taint nearby, nor anywhere, for that matter.”
Hayden nodded and rubbed his chin in a classic manner of showing that he was thinking.
“And our location?”
The intern paused slightly before ducking behind a nearby console, tapping it a few times.
“Uhm.. According to ground testing and seismic scanning, it would appear that we are in the Netherlands.”
Hayden paused as he slowly looked over. “....The Netherlands?”
“Yes, sir. The Netherlands, somehow.”
The tall robot nodded slowly. “Radio the CO of the Bismarck and brief him, keep this silent. We don’t want anyone to do something rash, understood?”
“Yes, doctor.”
Hayden nodded and moved over to a comms console and the officer that sat there.
“Officer, broadcast the following message on all closed A.R.C channels and every known compatible open channels.”
The officer nodded, flicking a button and causing a small red light to appear on the console.
