Its may, 1941- The battle of britan may have been a loss for the third Reich, forcing them to cancel their plans for a naval invasion of britan, a thorn to Germany's side. But the germans had another plan, If a capital ship and her escorts could pass through the Denmark strait, a round England and right into the Atlantic, said ship could wreak havoc upon the the merchant shipping britan desperately needed for the war effort.
And so, on August 24th, 1940- the Bismarck was commissioned into the kriegsmarine. Boasting thick armor, large guns, and pretty fast for a ship of her size; it was the pride of the germany navy.
On the 18th of may, 1941; Bismarck, along with her sister ship,
Prinze eugen was issued with her first sortie. Codenamed Rheinübung
Now, in our world, the bismark was sunk and the allies won the second world war, but what if the situation was different, what if- instead of vice admiral Holland- we had someone else to commanded the cruiser squadron that tried to intercept the Bismarck, someone like you, the player- in fact, why dont we just replace all of the historical commanders that participated in the interception of bismark and just replace them with a bunch of RPers from a certain forum on a browser game called nationstates? hmmmmmm....
That seems like a good idea!
