Good to see! I've nearly finished all aspects of my application, and I've only got to go over some of the psychological background, as well as draft cohesive bios for the twins. I'm hoping to finish that within a day or two. Looking forward to reading your guys' posts till then!

Alright, it seems Norv and I had the same idea at roughly the same time. Good to know that what I wrote is more about what Andrea sees or believes. This might not be actually the case, and if you don't recognise your character in the discription, that will most likely be due to an error of judgement on her part.

I’m mostly neutral, with a slight tendency towards not doing any skips at all. On the one hand, making it so that our first flight isn’t combat-related gives our characters the opportunity to study and get used to each other’s techniques, and on the other skipping the flight sequence could perhaps gain us some traction.

Glad to see this RP hasn’t met an untimely end. I was originally going to respond to Bols’ post, but getting to see some fireworks in Syria would be cool too. I might keep on the low to avoid any confusion / cause a delay if that’s best for the story, haven’t truly made up my mind yet.

+++Skills: James is an expert at his craft knowing its limits and expectations. He is also experienced in Air to air combat

+++Bio: James was born into a poor family and was raised through struggle. His father was a hard working coal miner and his mom helped around the house as best as she could. As soon as james was five his father put him to work in a factory. He didn't mind it much at the start but as the years crept by he grew to hate factory life.

Now nearly thirteen and being an only child James had a great number of responsibilities. He would work hard in the factory and come home where he did schooling. His quiet life began to deteriorate as his father grew heavy into drinking he would grow angry and abusive. It wasn't long before his mother sent him away to live with his grandmother in france. He stayed there for quite some time where he learned french.

His life had overall taken a good turn the move had helped get him out of factory work and his grandmother would help him with schooling. Finding a good job in france was easy and soon enough James was making a decent pay. Though as conflict and tension between nations were on the rise he wondered how long the good life would last. But this thought faded as the years grew in number. In fact, when the war actually begun it took him completely off guard. But after a draft was enacted James left to defend his grandmother and her country.

Luckily for James he was pulled into the airforce instead of the army. Ever since he was little James was fascinated by planes. After a rush through boot camp the french military gave him his equipment in the form of a fighter plane. Months passed and the trench war was brutal on both sides. The sky was no different James was nearly killed on his first flights. But as the years passed he honed his skill until they rewarded him with a name "The Flying Fox".

Stories about his deeds spread throughout Europe. And at wars end the flying fox had tallied up fifty eight kills and was twice decorated. Though they had won the war James couldn't help but feel like they lost. France was in shambles the communistic and fascist presence had greatly upset the order of things. But with no money to move he and his grandmother had to make due. The readjustment wasn't terribly hard. As long as he kept low and didnt get in trouble with the law he would be fine. James would pick up a job in construction where he would clean the plentiful mess the war had left behind.

Now in his thirties, the double ace lived a life of solitude. A decision he made after the passing of his grandmother. He lived a relatively comfortable and mundane life. The only thing he found intresting was the paper which explained rising tensions between nations again. At first he dismissed the sudden idea to join. But as time crawled he began to ponder on the old ember of desire. He wondered, with his age, if he was still any good up in the sky. Really, to him at least. Time would only tell.

Then the day arrived. A mix of emotion enveloped James when he saw the news paper. Another war had broken out and to him it was a sign. He didn't hesitate with his decision or his actions. He wanted to join immediately. But he was old and he knew the military wouldn't take him. So he decided to be a soldier for hire. A mercenary others would call it it wasn't a very safe profession but it paid well and would let James fly again. After some digging he found three groups and of the three he picked one. It had less restrictions than the other two but he couldn't exactly agree with the old roman ideology.

But James could care less he would finally fly and fight again. The only thing he had to do was find a plane and a destination.

+++RP Example: The massive guns on the cretin were brought to life with a thunderous boom. large plumes of thick, black smoke filled both the air and the noses of all the men. The vibrations shook the ship as the seventeen inch guns kicked back sending amor Piercing shells at the battlecruiser. Tens of seconds later giant plumes of water danced around the steaming ship. A young man on deck took his binoculars to inspect the result. He grabbed the radio and informed the gunner.

"Adjust elevation four degrees, come on hit that son of a bitch"

As if to answer him the guns kicked once more followed by a large shudder, the guns, fired systematically one by one The cretin sent shells sailing towards the ship. This time the shells struck with deadly accuracy one shell struck the the superstructure sending a five inch gun mount sky high. While another shell crashed through her deck just behind her front turret and exploded deep inside the ship. But it wasn't without consequence as two shells rocked the cretin from Port to stern.

"Shit, damage report!"

The captain screamed as a plume of smoke rose up from a hole where the shell had struck. As he spoke splashes appeared around the bow. He cursed and radioed the GEN calamity, the heavy crusier which accompanied the battleship.

"Goddamit focus fire on that battlecruiser and watch out for other ships it makes no sense that she'd be out here alone"

The captain watched as the crusier on his stern turned her guns towards the battlecruiser which was now Inside eleven miles. The guns erupted from the smaller vessel her eight inch guns sent into rapid fire. Moments after the calamity's guns went off cretins own exploded sending another salvo towards the kanadorikan vessel.

Minutes later a man ran up to the captain he seemed out of breath as he spoke. Regaining his breath he straightened and salited the captain.

"Sir there is a fire in the third deck and at least six men dead"

The captain clentched his fist in anger and stared at the now medium sized dot in the distance. Cursing under his breath, he grabbed the radio and spoke to all stations.

"Damage control I want that fire out now!, As for the gnners I don't want to hear a single gle pause between shots don't let up until I give the word!"

Loud booms and the whistling of shells filled the air for the next few minutes as the battle between the battlecruiser and the two other vessels lengthened. The calamity's guns went off same with the cretins. Splashes of water grew closer around the enemy ship a eight inch shell slammed into her belt but bounced while another exploded between her two forward guns. And then, a single seventeen inch shell from the cretin slammed into the deck crashing through three floors before finally exploding right next to the magazine.
