Name: Illvara Bray
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Appearance:Here
Role: Soldier
Expertise: Security, good deal amount of combat training with most firearms. Exceptionally skilled arctisite combatant.
Abilities: Electricity Manipulation: Illvara has an impressive degree of control over electricity. Allowing her to both shoot it as a projectile and absorb it within herself.
Resurrective Immortality: By far her more impressive and powerful ability. When killed by something physical, such as being shot, she will appear once again a few seconds later within a few feet, fresh and ready to go.
Weaknesses: Like a Battery: She does need to have some energy stored up in order to use her electricity powers.
Imperfect Resurrection: Illvara will come back to life if she is killed, however, the power does not stop what may have killed her. For example, she can starve to death, and while her ability will restore her to life, she will still be on the verge of dying from starvation. Or freezing to death on an ice world. Another side effect is that she tends to lose some of her memory from when she is killed. Meaning she could be restored to life without knowledge of what actually killed her. There are a few ways to permanetly kill her. The first being to force her power to eventually burn out via consistently killing her, or shooting her into an incredibly hostile environment. Her power is also rather strange when it comes to poisons. A slow acting poison would likely not be removed from her body upon resurrection. Eventually causing repeated deaths until permanent unless she receives the antidote.
The time between her resurrections increases if she is killed quickly in succession.
Bio: Illvara was born on Apex. Her mother perished shortly after her birth, which left her in the care of Harum Bray, her father. Harum himself was an expert in pushing the absolute limit of arctisite and what it could feasibly perform. He'd gone through several generations of different strains and had developed what he believed to be the ultimate strain for the perfect, unstoppable warrior. And so he infused it with his daughter with the hopes of seeing what it could do. At first tests seemed quite underwhelming. She could absorb electricity and manipulate it in various ways, but that seemed about average. Not the ultimate warrior he expected. So he ran her through more and more rigorous test in an attempt to figure out what else she could do. Most of which ended with failure. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Until a few years later, in her late teenage years, when his lab was attacked by some unknown assailants, targeting his very valuable supply of arctisite. Illvara happened in be in their path, and defended herself, accidentally killing two of them before getting shot in the head, killing her instantly. Harum himself barely had time to react to her death until a few seconds later, much to the surprise of both the armed mercenaries and Harum himself, Illvara was reborn in a quick flash. She was also shocked at the revelation, but continued to fight the assailants. She managed to kill another one before getting shot several times by a plasma rifle. Once again, albeit a few seconds slower than her first resurrection, she returned, and killed one more before the thugs opted to retreat rather than keep fighting.
Harum however, while happy that his daughter was okay, was far more interested in the fact that, in his own words, he had "Solved the human condition." Which meant she was going to have to undergo more tests. Likely far more intrusive and death inducing tests. So, Illvara quickly understood that her arctisite meant more to her father than he did and ran away at the first chance she could. Then she realized she had very little money and decided to do the one thing she felt like she could do: Fight. The assault on her father's lab had left it's mark on her. She killed four armed men by herself. So she did the only reasonable thing she felt she could do and signed up for King of the Hill where she spent the next several years of her life.
Quickly, she became known and feared throughout the arena. Even earning a title as "The Crowned Tempest." A seeming one woman army of lightning that seemingly could not be beat. However, despite the fame and wealth it brought her, she felt... Empty. Bored. Why her father didn't try searching for her, she didn't know. Her victories came to a point where simply, no one would bother sending more gladiators to fight her. Bored with her success, she purchased two things. A custom weapon, and a ticket off of Apex to go out into the wider galaxy and find a cause beyond simple bloodsport. In her search, she found a strange initiative called "Operation: Event Horizon" where races from both the Confederacy and Collective were attempting some weird cooperative venture to take a step towards peace.
If nothing else, it sounded like some fun.
Equipment: Her custom shotgun, Arcbreaker: A custom shotgun that uses her own electrical powers as both a means to power the weapon and supercharge it's ammunition.
