I think Nix is the closest the team has to a sniper at the moment, and she's also aerial support, so a dedicated sniper could be a grand addition. Going in the entirely opposite direction, we also don't have a logistics or merchant style char who might help interact with the locals. Though not sure how that role would get played exactly :3

I think we're fairly set right now as far as I can tell. We have a few mercenary/smuggler types already so maybe avoid that. I guess one thing we could maybe use is a regular army type either from the Confederation or the Collective.

Abilities

• Arctisite - Monarch's Eyes: Monarch's Eyes is a military-sourced arctisite of immense value, and yet very few know it even exists. It has two main effects: the first grants vastly enhanced spatial recognition, a relatively mundane ability by itself. The second, however, is a remarkable application of the arctisites' possibilities - the rate at which Em processes sensory information is absurdly fast, meaning she is capable of observing the world at a variable rate, effectively her own personal slow motion. She now has fine-tuned control of the rate at which she processes information, but that wasn't always the case - more on that later. Needless to say, these two mental boosts make Em a deadly combatant and sniper beyond compare, but they're extraordinarily hard to detect - unless you've been told, she looks just like a baseline Promethean.
• Indomitus Combat Suit - Infiltrator Class (ICS-I): Perhaps this belongs in Equipment, but it's such a core aspect of Em's skillset that it deserves mention here. The ICS-I, nicknamed "The Perv Suit" by Em's former squadmates (though she just calls it ICSI, pronounced "Icksie"), is rather unique among its kin. Rather than being fitted with cutting edge cybernetics and impenetrable alloys, ICSI has just one core feature: an energy field projector that renders Em effectively invisible, both in visible light and other spectrums. This stealth technology is still highly experimental, but the military brass decided that it complemented the Monarch's duties too well to ignore. It has some major limitations, the foremost among them being power consumption and heat generation - because the armor has to effectively "run silent" while also maintaining the field, the effective run time of the stealth function is extremely limited, assuming Em doesn't want to be burnt to a crisp. Despite full AI being officially outlawed by the Confederation, unofficially the military doesn't give a crap, so the Automated Monarch Assistant (Ama) lives inside this ICS to provide tactical support.

Weaknesses:

• Emotional Development/Interaction: Thanks to her upbringing, amongst scientists and military brass that only cared about her capabilities, basic ideas like "love" and "personal preference" are... alien to her. What even is a friend, anyway? This can make non-combat situations difficult.
• Physically Baseline: While her training and arctisite make Em a formidable combatant even without her equipment, she still can't compare to a physically enhanced enemy, or the more destructive arctisites. This reliance on her equipment can come back to bite her in ways that just aren't relevant for those other categories.

Bio: In late 2209, the Confederation military authorized the first and only trial of Project Monarch, only the latest in countless human "super soldier" experiments. The namesake Monarch, nicknamed "Em" by a particularly lazy scientist, was raised from birth in a ConMil blacksite to become the ultimate stealth troop. She had been hand-picked based on her genetics to predispose her for success in the project, though she wasn't actually genetically engineered before the Arctisite - regardless of its legality, it simply hadn't been deemed necessary. Every day of the following 21 years was spent training and experimenting, pushing the limits of both cutting edge technology and Em herself. An interesting story - Em was granted the Monarch's Eyes Arctisite at the tender age of 3, and as a result she developed an interesting problem - initially, she was unable to reduce the rate at which she processed information, experiencing the world permanently at a fraction of the rate we do. This in turn created communication problems that persisted for years, though eventually she managed to overcome both obstacles. The year is now 2230, and the nameless Blacksite at which she is stationed has received an order that none ever thought it would: Project Monarch is being deployed for the first time, covertly - to assist the almost as covert Operation Event Horizon.

A Brief Look Into the Past
The hiss of the pneumatic door broke Monarch from her thoughts. Instinctively, the world began to slow around her - and as the door crawled open inch by inch, her body began to push off the bed and snap into a perfect standing salute, which she finished just before the door finished its opening cycle. The stomping of military boots revealed her new guests.

"I'll never get used to that..." The man in front shook his head, chuckling. Monarch's data visor highlighted him as Gen. Danvers Floyd, current CO of the aptly-named Blacksite M. Various codes from his RFID badge transmitted to her, verifying his identity - though she was all but certain that she could identify that grizzled face from miles off after 21 years of it. The rectangular border around his frame flickered green, listing off several lines of valid code returns.

"Identity authenticated, General Floyd. Awaiting orders." Monarch held her salute, returning the General's gaze.

"At ease, Monarch." The General stepped fully into the room, revealing two more figures, who quickly followed suit. "I've brought some friends today."

Her IFF began to authenticate two more signatures as she observed the newcomers. One looked not dissimilar to her superior - a similar uniform, with different medals, and similar signs of age on his rough face. The other was a stereotypical labcoat - Monarch had seen no shortage of these in her time at the site. "Greetings, General Packard, Dr. Yand. Awaiting orders."

"A bit unsettling, don't you think sir?" The scientist muttered to General Packard, who quickly nudged him in the side.

"Mind your manners, Jeff. We're guests here." The unfamiliar general glanced at Monarch, though he too appeared slightly unnerved by her piercing gaze.
"Apologies, Monarch. He meant no offense."

"Understood, General Packard. Awaiting orders." Her expression remained unchanged.

"Monarch, I've brought these two here for a bit of a... friendly competition. The boys in tech R&D thing their fancy new rifle's auto-aim can beat our Queen of the Rifle. You're being authorized for full combat parameters - meet us at the range in five."

"Understood, General Floyd. Firing Range Alpha, 1437 hours."

"Good. Dismissed." The brief exchange was all Monarch needed. Her salute finally dropped, and she spun on her heel, walking over to a wall of weapons that she began to rifle through. She heard the hiss of the door as her superiors departed, but didn't spare them a glance.

The meeting room that overlooked the range was eerily silent as the results of the competition scrolled down.

"How... how is that even possible?" Dr. Yand stammered as he gestured wildly at the score comparisons. Solid tens for the first dozen or so shots on both sides... But as the range grew extreme, and the speed of the targets grew, the automatic sniper started to shift off slightly. A slight miscalculation here, a delayed shot there... but then there was the Monarch. Tens all the way down. General Packard, too, was standing there with his jaw dropped - the two had been quite confident in their little contraption.

General Floyd smirked at the stunned pair. The intercom blinked.
"General, will that be all? I'll continue to my normal training levels while I'm here, if I have your permission."

"Permission granted, Monarch. Well done."

"Um... Monarch?" Dr. Yand managed to pipe up. The silence on the other end of the line awaited his response. "What is your miss rate over the past year?"

"...Miss, sir?" The puzzled tone of her response was the most her voice had changed since the two had arrived.

"I don't miss."

Equipment:

• Indomitus Combat Suit - Infiltrator Class (ICS-I): See above.
• Recon Drone: A scout drone that can either be manually operated by Em or controlled by Ama remotely.
• Mistech ML90 Light Plasma Scoped Rifle: Anti-personnel rifle, Monarch's standard go-to.
• Kalla KM1 Anti-Materiel Plasma Rifle: The big gun. Enough to tank down an armored transport, a tank, or even air/spacecraft with a good shot. The aiming computer has been manually disabled - Monarch is better anyway.
• 2x Glas 1 Plasma Handgun: Standard handguns, visible in the first picture above. Mostly a holdout in the rare occasion an enemy is close enough to her to avoid a rifle.
• 2x Mistech V9 Vibroknives: Visible in her armored picture above, these knives are used in the occasional CQC stealth mission, as well as for a final holdout.

This app is good! Not to much to fix just one issue. There's a char(mine actually) who has a robot pretending not to be sentient already and I think having two of those would dampen the impact of both. One thought I would be having an AI on like a wrist watch or something, that would be different than anything anyone else is doing as far as I can tell. Or just making it a non intelligent scout bot. Either way should work.
