Salary Cap 2020

-Minimum roster spending is $60 million
--Teams that have a payroll lower than $60 million may take a cap hold equal to the differnce of the minimum payroll and the current payroll of the team for the next 3 seasons or can sign a MLE eligable player to a contract making up the differnce
-Maximum non-luxury tax roster spending is $200 million
--Bird Exception: Teams in the luxury tax may resign players who have 4+ years with the team and are not qualified for a max contract to the MLE level contract of $10 million dollars per year over 5 years
--Mid Level Exception: Teams in the luxury cap may offer FA's that have not made a All-Star team or All-NBA team in the last 2 seasons a maximum contract of 10 million dollars over a maximum period of 5 years

Trade Rules
-Picks may have the following protections
Lottery Protected: If the pick is a lottery pick it goes back to Team A
Top 5 Protected: If the pick is a Top 5 pick it goes back to Team A
Top 3 Protected: If the pick is a Top 3 pick it goes back to Team A
Swap Best Lottery Protected: If the pick is not a lottery pick Team A swaps with Team. B If the the pick is a lottery pick, Team A may elect to not swap with Team B
Swap Best Top 5 Protected: If the pick is not a Top 5 pick Team A swaps with Team B. If the pick is a Top 5 pick, Team A may elect to not swap with Team B
Swap Best Top 3 Protected: If the pick is not a Top 3 pick Team A swaps with Team B. If the pick is a Top 3 pick, Team A may elect to not swap with Team B
-Teams may trade first round and second round picks unrestricted( no rules on protections and draft years)
-All trades are due by the trade deadline at 5:30 that day
