IWEC HQ, Central City, Central African Union
Ambassador Carolyn smiled, this year has been surprisingly good. So much change in so little time, perhaps this decade might be the beginning of a new revolutionary period in human history. Yet in the meantime all she could do is sign trade agreements.
Prime Minister Amelia Armstrong entered the room with a slowed pace, examining every inch of the room as she was followed by her newly appointed ambassador, Joseph Clement;
Ambassador Carolyn stood up and reached out her hand saying, “Congratulations on your victory Prime Minister, may we continue to find success for workers here,” The Prime Minister smiled and shook her hand back,
“Please, my victory was guaranteed thanks to the efforts of your government during the Boer War, but I am merely here to watch as this is my first IWEC meeting. My ambassador Clements will be speaking on behalf of the CAU.” Joseph came forward to shake her hand as well,
“Joseph Clements, former military liaison for the Central African Armed Forces. A pleasure.” His tone was cold and calculated, a stark contrast to his Premier.
Carolyn shook his hand, “As Ambassador of the CAU you hold the office of President of the Supreme Council until 1992, so you shall start us off today, President Clements.”
“Yes let us begin,” he took a seat and exchanged some documents to all those seated at the table. “The topic of this will be in regards to the Socialist Union of South East Asia, and establishing a preferred trade agreement with them to further our efforts in bringing it potentially into the IWEC, and as it is appropriate we’ll also be discussing a similar trade effort in South Africa. The CAU has already agreed to a trade deal that would include the exporting of 10 million units of iron ore into the country, but we leave it open for the PCCA to determine what it would like to exchange.”
“Yes, I have heard that the Labour council was working on negotiations with the Union,” Carolyn stated, “The oil workers successfully lobbied to export 7 units of natural gas to them. As such we approve of decreasing tariffs and trade barriers with the Socialist Union."
“The Council decided during its last meeting that we would be happy to export 7.25 units of oil to SUSEA” stated Pablo Escobar.
“Alright,” Carolyn stated, “With that the trade agreement passes.”
“Perfect, now with that over we’ll also discuss a similar deal with the South African Socialist Republic, if I am correct the PCCA has already agreed to a exporting of 9 units of natural gas; likeso the Union has agreed to export 10 units of crude oil to the SASR. Does that sound all in order? Anything to add Mr. Escobar?” He placed the files back into his folder and turned to face him.
“The Council agreed to export 3 units of Iron to SASR” responded Escobar. “Does that sound alright to everyone ?”
“Sounds alright by me, with that I suppose we’ll end the discussion on the trade deals. I’ll leave this time for any inquiries or questions before adjourning this meeting of the IWEC.” Clements said, putting away the documents and looking around the room.
“I’d like to add something comrade Clements. The Council has an offer for CAU. We would like to hire the help of a nuclear scientist to support our nuclear ambitions. In exchange we will pay 4 units of aluminum”
Clements pondered the deal, looking to the Premier who was seated next to him who simply nodded and smirked slightly. “I believe that would be mutually beneficial, consider it a deal.” He had an assistant write down the deal and make a copy for the both of them. “I’ll have the office of the Premier consult with the Nuclear Workers’ Union, we’ll send you our best man… With that, let us conclude this meeting of the International Worker’s Economic Council.”

"I wanted to take this time to talk to about the ongoing conflict in Brazil... As many of you know this civil war is near and dear to our cause as communist, as our comrades have waged war against the capitalists in Brazil, and seek to found a new nation, much like the rebels of South Africa lead by my dear friend Mandela. We give our prayers and our support behind these rebels, but I must say that I do not condone this level of violence and destruction. Brazil is a country known for it's beauty, it's piety, and it's rich culture, and to see that destroyed by war and conflict is abhorrent. That is why while I support the efforts of the GCU, I must break my allegiance to denounce the war efforts, and urge for all parties to come to the table to discuss peace. We will not support the GCU militarily, nor the rebels, nor the State of Brazil. The CAU will step back from our obligations to act as a third party and meditator if need be, but for now the stance of the Central African Union is to remain neutral during these times.
From Amelia Armstrong,
Premier of The Central African Union and Governor of Central City
Premier's Estate
To Her Eileanic Majesty,
Gloriana III Brunay-Bonbry
To her Majesty,
It has become customary for sitting Premier of the Central African Union to send her majesty a letter,
As a fellow catholic we share the same ideals and vision for how this world of ours should function.
However, not one single Premier of this Union has ever formally invited the Head of State nor Head of Government
of the United Kingdom of Great Eilean and Strathland to the Africa ever since it's independence in 1921.
I would like to cross the boundaries between our two great nations and formally invite you and your government
to the CAU (or any location of your choosing) to discuss the future of Africa and more importantly, to discuss
the fragile relationship between our two nations.
I await your response, your majesty.
Amelia G Armstrong
