What lies? There is no official knowledge of any sort of stealth tech ever existing. The only lies I hear are out of the Hegemony saying they have more population than the entirety of the council combined.

The Normandy is still under construction. We got one more year before it's fully done and operated by one of the best pilot in the whole galaxy. God damn Jeff Moreau.

The research is technically He-3 Mining Efficiency. The efficiency is the salient part. It is basically just a refinement to existing systems that makes a dedicated orbital refueling station of immense system-level economic value viable.

Hey, I fully expected things like that to happen. Or the Quarians claiming Rannoch. It won't allow you to take Earth diplomatically, but it will, ICly, make people far more amenable to your takeover if you happen to overrun Sol if you've laid a shedload of wine-and-dine groundwork promoting the legitimacy of your rule.
