Time to strike fear into the Imperialist scum. Maybe if we can get a decisive victory, we can make up some of our losses by capturing Imperial ships and maybe several unfinished/finished but uncrewed Imperial ships in the drydocks. If we're lucky, we can break the will of the moff and make him retreat to the deep core just like what happened in legends.

Well I could probably lend you a fairly substantial force, though it'll have to be after Fondor since I'm committing a little raiding party centred around an MC75 alongside whatever forces you're throwing there. You wouldn't be happening to send a decent force there would you? I'd be able to use the, er, distraction, to draw defending forces off and go break some infrastructure

1 Dauntless, my only MC75 and 30 or 40 corvettes. I'm assuming another Rebel fleet will be devoting most of their forces for this attack.

I'm debating what to re-apply as, but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any suggestions on what we could use?

To be honest, a (morally) good New Republic char is pretty badly needed for balance.

Hmmm okay that could work but you'll need to make sure that other fleet actually shows up, otherwise we're fish food

Yeah I really think we need more morally good NR, at the moment my existence is making the Remnants look noble by comparison

Thank you!

OP of Empire's End RP, Frequenter of P2TM, and part of the F7 delegation along with -Astoria, Valentine Z, Western Fardelshufflestein, La Xinga, and Nooooooooooooooo.
“...My only complaint is that this guy seems to have plot armor thicker than the hull of a battleship. What’s this Holy Grail thing, anyway? I tried looking it up using foreign information networks but I kept seeing footage of knights being butchered by a rabbit... I don’t think that was a legitimate source.”

...and Josephus sorta started a nuclear war, so I'll just ignore the fact that Kakistopia has almost 50% of deaths due in some part to the God-Empress, and I'll also ignore that Josephus XII was raised as a child-soldier, and I'll say Josephus is the more horrible leader.

I'm sorry if it's a little early for my second post, but I want to explain why the PA isn't already at Fondor.

Interesting post. I look forwards to seeing how Jeremiah will handle having an ISD...and the glories that comes from vengeful Imperials.

By the way, Strala Imma need a concise number and classes for your "30 to 40 corvettes".

The 4 original NR fleets were formed out of the four fleets pushing for Coruscant. I would think that at least one of those fleets would be focused on Fondor

Jebb Vid APP

Postby Flarbinia » Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:52 pm

Name: Jebb Vid
Faction: New Republic
Appearance: An elderly Ithorian in a New Republic officer's uniform
Personality: Jebb sees Ithorian Pacifism as the weakness that allowed the Empire to gain control over his Homeworld. Sees the Republic as the true successor to the Republic he fought against during the Clone Wars, as the Empire has committed greater atrocities
Skills: Marksman with blaster rifles. He has experience leading troops into battle
Weapons: E-5 blaster rifle
Ship: Ithor's Liberation (Victory-II Class Star Destroyer)
Rank: General
Bio: Jebb Vid was never one for tradition, advocating for his people to take up arms against the Republic, as he believed that his world would benefit more from joining the Confederacy. Naturally, being pacifists, most Ithorians ignored him and being pro-Republic, Ithor's government began arresting his supporters. By the time he got into contact with the Separatist, Jeb was all that was left of the Pro-Separatist faction who had not been arrested. The Separatist spy, knowing that the Ithorian could be a potential puppet, agreed to have him smuggled out of the Ottega System on the condition that he join the Separatist Military. With arrest being the only alternative, Jebb accepted his terms and within a week, he headed out of Republic space. His first taste of combat would be on Jabiim, where he was forced to take command of what was left of his platoon when the Republic attempted to retake Choal. It was on Jabiim that his unit would continue fighting after the deactivation of the droid army, hoping that their efforts would spark a Separatist uprising that would drive the newly formed Empire off the planet. The sad reality is that they didn't have large scale support as the Nationalists, led by Thorne Khaym, had sworn loyalty to the Empire and the Loyalists, having fought for the Republic, were unwilling to provide their former foes with anything more than a token amount of supplies.

However, Jebb's activities had not gone unnoticed and he was soon contacted by the growing Rebellion. He reluctantly agreed to join them, as his troops were growing disillusioned with his leadership due to spending years fighting for a losing cause without making any significant gains. The Rebels on Jabiim spent months preparing for its liberation, strategizing, performing reconnaissance and espionage, recruiting locals to their cause, training their recruits, and stockpiling weapons. When news of the the Emperor's demise reached Jabiim, Jebb Vid gave the order to attack. Weeks passed as the demoralized Imperial garrison was overwhelmed, strongholds and other strategically important locations falling to the Rebels. It was not long before the surviving Imperials surrendered, Jebb declaring that Jabiim was now freed. Once the celebration had ended and a fleet had been gathered and organized, they were ordered to redeploy to Ithor to aid in its liberation. A battle during which the victory-II Class Star Destroyer Desolation was captured after being heavily damaged, Jebb Vid renaming it and making it his flagship. Now, years after the Battle Of Ithor, the army and fleet under Jebb's command are preparing to head to Fondor.

Obligatorily, I have to state that I'm no OP at all and the following is just some things I've come up with for expanding on the character/fixes.
  1. May want to expand his personality a bit more. I have no idea what the heck his drives are for being a CIS supporter, how he treats with the NR, whether or not he takes prisoners, etc.
  2. Why is a General in command of a Victory II-class?
  3. Why was he never one for tradition/wanted to join the CIS?
  4. Are you saying that he fought between 18 BBY and 4 ABY...? I have severe, severe doubts that he just...was never found. Have you made Star Wars OBL?
  5. "A battle during which the victory-II Class Star Destroyer Desolation was captured, Jebb Vid renaming it and making it his flagship." is not really a sentence. How was it captured?
  6. What does the army and fleet under Jebb Vid's command consist of?

1. I agree on your first, third point, and fourth. I may have condensed his original backstory too much.
2. It is symbolic of the Rebellion's transformation from a small collection of individual groups to the great power known as the New Republic, not to mention that a flagship needs to be powerful.
3. I will elaborate on the Liberation.
4. I will address that in my Faction APP

He wants to increase length/width from the 1.2 km listed on wiki to something like 2.5 km with a proportional increase in armaments carried.
