Hop in whenever is convenient for you. I plan on starting the RP sometime this weekend, but if you aren't able to participate then, you can join in afterwards. The more the merrier :¬)

How do you all feel about starting the rp this weekend or Monday? Also, for those who have not answered, for the opening cultist scenario, do you want to be one of the people who is captured and must work together to escape... or accept Mothman as the true savior of the wastes!

Uh.

I'll choose the wasteland over the Interloper.

Lol. So will you be one of the people whose captured but tries to escape, or will you not have been captured at all?

Looking forward to starting whenever! I usually at the least check NS once a day so anytime works.

If I haven't answered before lets just say Rodney is not big on the idea of converting religions under duress. Perhaps if they had pamphlets or a cookout :p

It'd be cool if I was contracted to find em.

One last check before I start the RP. We will start with the Mothman cultists having captured the majority of players. But I believe only Parcia has opted for not being captured but instead later encountering the same group that captured the players. Does anyone else want to opt out of being captured? Though you can still opt out of being captured by the Mothman cultists before the RP starts, it would be better for me if I got a good idea of who does and doesn't want to be captured by the Mothman cultists.

I want only Griff to be captured but not his companions.

I think I wish for only Rodney and Marie to be captured with Bonnie still in Harper's ferry worried to death over her kids, perhaps she is the one who hires Jack to find her kids?

Only the Crusader would be capured of all my characters... while Evangelist and Steward would be lurking nearby. There aren't New Gethsemane patrols with them (perhaps, I will include some if the situation became too dire), so that would set an interesting escape scenario.

And whatever they'd do, certainly they would keep their rifle by their side, Keep the Mothman sinners out...

Heya guys. I just posted the IC thread and started the RP. Here is the link: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=493397 . Post at your own pace. This is the first roleplay I've ever hosted, so if you have any feedback for my work, it would be greatly appreciated. Since I'm such a newbie, I certainly don't expect you all to have lengthy or eloquent responses. No rush about posting soon! Post at your own leisure. When enough people have posted, I'll advance the plot.

Very exciting!

I would suggest making a link on the OOC Op to make it easier for anyone who comes across it to look at or for simply easier navigation as well as make the OOC inroduction portions of the IC OP in a spoiler so that it's focus remains on the IC post.

Name: Alexander Caleb (Artyom Chyornyj)
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Appearance:
Image

SPECIAL:
Strength: 6
Perception: 6
Endurance: 6
Charisma: 4
Intelligence: 5
Agility: 6
Luck: 7

Faction(s): USSR (formerly), Spetsnaz (formerly), KGB
Background: Artyom was born in the US, his parents having fled the Soviet Union in their youth to escape Communist oppression and live a new life in America. This, however, didn't work out too well for young Artyom Chyornyj, who found himself bullied at school by his American peers for his perceived Communist origins. Ironically, in trying to escape Communist oppression, Artyom became disillusioned with the American Dream, as he often found himself under the boot of children raised in families of Corporate or middle-class origin compared to his own relatively lower-class background, not to mention the impoverished neighbourhood he found himself in and the terrible living conditions they suffered.

Everything changed when he reached the age of 15 and was approached by a mysterious man, who identified himself as a member of the KGB. Offered a chance to return to Russia and gain a new better life, in order to one day return to America and help save what he perceived was a population oppressed under the Capitalist few, Artyom would run away from home and soon afterwards escape to the Soviet Union. He soon afterwards found himself recruited into the Spetsnaz, more specifically the GRU branch, and began a rigorous training regime. For over four years he trained in infiltration, close-quarters martial arts combat, assault work, sabotage and more as he went through near hell day in and day out. After finishing his training, he spent the next two years participating in various covert and combat operations, from spreading chaos in the various European splinter states to helping support Chinese forces in the Battle of Anchorage. Finally, in 2073, Artyom was deemed experienced enough to be re-inserted into the US as an undercover operative.

Under the identity of Alexander Caleb, Artyom infiltrated and re-integrated into American society under the eye of his caretaker, the same KGB agent who had recruited him all those years ago: Pavel Morozov. Artyom spent the next four years living undercover, by day living out the classic American middle-class life, by night infiltrating institutions and gathering intelligence for the Communist cause, even going on a few assassination missions. Of course, all of this fell apart when the bombs fell and the nuclear apocalypse began. Both Artyom and Pavel found safety in the Free States vaults, and after helping out in the Free States for a while, set out on their own, Pavel having heard rumours of a secret Communist infiltration cell that survived the bombings, and now seeking to try and see whether they could regroup and reorganise to adapt to this new situation.

Equipment:
-Marksman Carbine
-Makarov Pistol (with silencer)
-Dagger
-Bowie knife
-Assassin suit (from Sierra Madre DLC in FNV)
-Duster coat
-Gasmask

Companion(s):
Pavel Morozov
Image

SPECIAL:
Strength: 3
Perception: 8
Endurance: 5
Charisma: 8
Intelligence: 7
Agility: 4
Luck: 5

Alexander's "handler," Pavel was once an extremely deadly assassin serving the KGB in many covert operations. Though he has long retired from active combat infiltration, he had since become one of the KGB's best undercover agents. Extremely charismatic and quite intelligent, Pavel relies more on his words than brute force to sway a scenario into his favour, though if needs be Pavel is still extremely handy with a sniper rifle.

Equipment:
-Hunting Rifle (scoped, custom action, extended mag)
-.44 Magnum
-Butterfly knife

Mikhail Petrovich
SPECIAL:
Strength: 10
Perception: 6
Endurance: 10
Charisma: 2
Intelligence: 4
Agility: 4
Luck: 5

An absolute beast of a man, Mikhail was once a Red Army Shock Trooper and one of the strongest men in his division, before he was reassigned to one of the Soviet Consulates in the US after almost beating his superior officer to death. He later found himself separated from his group, and a year after the bombs fell, joined up with Pavel and Artyom to venture the wastes. Where he lacks brains and a sense of decorum, he makes up with pure brute force and strength, rumoured to have torn the heads of his enemies clean off with his bare hands.

Equipment:
-Ratnik combat equipment
-Plasma Caster
-12.7mm pistol
-PPSh-41
-RPK-74
-Fire axe

Could there be some sort of Communist Infiltrator Faction or something? Y'know, you had the Chinese infiltrators in Fallout 3 and all that in some bunker.

Other then that, besides my equipment, I've pretty much finished my app.

Yup. There are communists in the game. Though they are a small and relatively unknown faction. I strongly recommend you search up something along the lines of "Fallout 76 The Deep." The Deep is where the last communists reside. They are isolated, have rarely if ever presented themselves topside, but retain some communications with China. Many are still zealous to the cause. Others cannot abandon the faction out of fear of being hunted down and killed.

Aight, that's where I'm headed after escaping those bandits I suppose

Also, am I accepted?
