Essentially, I think it would impact based on Murphy and Porter sharing the same base to some degree, subsequently meaning that Minnesota voters who support both potentially being more likely to vote for Murphy in the Democratic primary than Porter in the Republican primary due to it being the former’s home state.

Wow that's interesting, I didn't think of that.

There are voters who would have voted for Porter and Murphy in Minnesota(white working class voters). Their existence varies from State to State from being as common as a Never Trump Republican in Alabama to throwing the race in Minnesota and Maine.
Btw MN is not like the other midwestern States. It is a State that Rubio won in 2016, and Trump came in 3rd during. MN is very highly educated, and has a large suburban Republican set of voters that would loathe to give Porter the nomination.

Isn't Minnesota an open primary though, where you can vote in both primaries?Democratic Peoples republic of Kelvinsi wrote:There are voters who would have voted for Porter and Murphy in Minnesota(white working class voters). Fair enough, it's a lot of effort to tick a few boxes, apparently. (Sarcastic, but not in a hostile way. More sarcastic at people who vote apathetically.)
Also, would you like for Lilyana to meet with Porter? I have an idea.
