As Archie looked over at Artemis, Artemis took his hand off his neck and started a very long conversation with Draven.

Archie tried to catch Artemis' eye but gave up after a minute. He was interested in talking to Will. He walked over to the Ravenclaw table and greeted Will.
"How are you doing, mate?" He asked Will.

Wilhelm was caught by surprise, as he was shoving down breakfast as fast as he could, eager for his first day here, where he would be told everything he had to know about what he was expected to do.
"Fine, thanks! Although a bit overwhelmed, to be honest", he said. "I mean, I do not even know what each of the houses are meant for, to start off with."

Alexis walks into the Great Hall for breakfast and sits down at the Slytherin table. She begins scanning the room before her eyes land on the boy who lived. Hmm, so that is the Boy Who Lived. He doesn't look all that great but then again I could be wrong. I will be keeping an eye on him for the foreseeable future. Alexis thought. She stood up and walked over to where the BWL sat, "So your the famous Boy Who Lived. I'm Alexis White but you can call me Alex for short. So what do you think of Hogwarts so far?" She said with a blank expression on her face.

Wilhelm turned around to face the girl that had approached him from behind. She didn`t have an ugly appearance. Quite the contrary. Wilhelm feared that Archie might have a harder time here at Hogwarts than he thought. But she did not strike him as a person you would be able to have a long comfortable conversation with.
"Well, it is our first day here, so I do feel a bit overwhelmed and excited", he answered cautiously. "So, I presume you`re Slytherin, aren`t you? With the coat of arms and all on your robes."

Gryffindors had double Potions in the morning with Ravenclaws, then double Transfiguration with Slytherins, double Charms with Hufflepuffs, then Herbology, then Astronomy, then DADA.

Artemis glanced down at his schedule as it was handed to him. “Wonderful. Potions with Gryffindor. I’m so excited.” He said with a very obvious tone of sarcasm in his voice. He and Draven got up to head to the Ravenclaw tower to get their stuff, then headed down to the dungeons for Potions.

"I heard from my brothers that the master is an ex-Azkaban convict, but I think it was just talk. The upside of Potions is that we share the class with Ravenclaw."

"Ah well, I don’t like the idea of potions and poisons very much, to be honest with you. Just feels like a really underhanded branch of magic. I much prefer the duel. Very honourable, I’ve always felt. But I know that potions have their uses."
