That night, Artemis sat by the fire in the Ravenclaw tower. People had started avoiding him, as they started realizing that the triquetra matched the one that was You-know-who’s symbol. The letter, all crumpled up, was in his hand. He reached into the fire and dropped the parchment in. As it started burning, Will walked in, getting ready to go to detention, and noticed a silent tear roll down Artemis’ face, then another, and another.

Seeing him sit all alone there, obviously upset, Wilhelm approached Artemis. "Hey, you all right?"

Artemis seemed to either be unable to hear Will, or was to emotionally numb to answer. He had been silent for most of the day in all his classes as well, which was very unusual.

Artemis took a deep breath and the tears stopped. “Yeah.” He practically whispered. He stayed in front of the fire, just staring into it. “They abandoned me...”

There was shouting from the outside of the tower. It was easy to tell who it was.
"Come on! I'm his best friend!..... So what if I'm a Gryffindor! A good friend goes out of their way to help their friend in need!"

"I wasn't allowed in even though my House transfer request was approved. She doesn't believe me. I was trying to come visit Artemis because I heard he was up here.

Archie blushed more than he did at the first sight of Miko.
"Yup. I'm going to go get my stuff after I see if Artemis is okay."

As Archi peered into the Ravenclaw tower, he saw Artemis sitting on his lower legs, hands on his knees. He stared into the fire, with a cold and meaningless gaze.

As Archie said that, he managed to snap Artemis out of his mood. He made a fake gagging sound at Archies comment, and got up, a new look in his eyes. One that was sharper, colder, and angrier than before. He shook himself out of it, and as soon as the look cane, it was gone. “Will, you better hurry down to detention. And Archie, come in. There’s already a bed waiting for you.”

"Why does Will have detention? Was it Grangmas? Anyways," Archie said, lowering his voice so that only Artemis could hear him, "I actually did meet another girl on the way here. She's also a Hufflepuff. Where's the dormitory?"
