Alright, big long post up, mainly a flashback to Ti's duel with Vader during Operation: Knightfall, and a little update on her present status and attempt to flee the temple. I honestly had more to write about her leaving, but, its almost 3 AM here on the West Coast, so I need sleep. I hope everyone enjoyed the duel; I find writing combat to be one of the most difficult parts of this process.

I know GCCS and I discussed having her interact with Vader again once he reaches Coruscant so I may have meatier post once he gets into orbit.

Now, onto the apps.

Appearance (Picture preferred, if not, detailed description accepted): Liu Bao Rui stands a height of 6 feet. Covering the right side of his face and neck are the burn scars that he received as a child. While on duty, Liu Bao Rui wears the standard uniform of a vice admiral of the Galatic Republic.
Personality: Liu Bao Rui is known among his men to be both kind and fair. It isn't uncommon to see Liu Bao Rui walking alongside the enlisted members of his crew while amiably chatting like they were old friends. He is, however, known to be a harsh disciplinarian and is known to dish out harsh punishments to anyone in the crew, no matter their rank or connections. That particular trait had caused him to alienate a super minority of his former subordinates when he was still a part of the Guard d'Azure. He is a diligent and cautious man, constantly worrying over the most menial of issues. He is willing to listen to superior officers as long as it kept his crew safe.

Skills/Powers: A skilled naval officer specialized in large scale naval engagements. He was one of the most talented graduates of the College for Planetary Security Forces, graduating within the top ten in the academy. Biography:Born on the fortress world of Anaxes, which was once known as the defender of the core, Liu Bao Rui was expected ever since birth to join the Guard d'Azure as his forefathers had before him. His family was one of the most influential and storied on the planet, with their family name synonymous with naval service. Like many families with a rich naval history, they owned an estate in the Sirpar hills. Due to their family's history, influence, personal brilliance, his father was a commodore within the Guard d'Azure. His flagship, eternal peace, was one of three Procurator class star battle cruisers that were active in the Guard d'Azure. The ship had been apart of their family for nearly one hundred years. His mother was an instructor in the College of Planetary Security Forces, which is on the Anaxes Citadel. His elder brother was a student in college by the time Liu Bao Rui turned 5. Like his father, his elder brother was considered a skilled naval commander and tactician. Growing up, Liu Bao Rui was feed stories about his ancestors, who helped defend the Republic from the sith and various other threats. His father, when he was home, would always tell him stories about his adventures, such as fighting off pirates when he survived in the judiciary forces of the Republic.

As a teenager growing up on Anaxes, his parents taught him much about the history of the planet and its proud naval traditions. During his offtime, he would practice sword fighting. Since he was a regular human, this was a hobby more than anything serious. After all, what could a human vibrosword user do against a crowd or mob armed with slugthrower or laser weaponry? Despite his informal training, he would become talented enough for his family to hire an instructor to train him in using a vibrosword. During this period, his skills with the vibrosword improved leaps and bounds. By the age of 16, he was one of the most talented duelists in the nearby region. It was during one of these training sessions that he would suffer a horrendous injury. He had left his guard open due to arrogance. Due to that arrogance, he failed to see a strike aimed at his chest. The excruciating pain caused him to faint, and when he awoke, he was in his family's estate. The gash had healed by the time he awoke, but it left a permanent scar and taught a lesson to the young man.

In 34 BBY, the same year that he would enter the College of Planetary Security Forces, the battle of Malastare Narrows occurred. For Liu Bao Rui, this showcased just how weak the Republic had become, and as an adult, he would support the military creation act. During his time in the academy, he was a diligent student, listening and taking notes during every lecture and lesson. During exams and mock battles, he would consistently rank among the top of his class, and by the time graduation came, he was ranked number five in his class. He joined the Guard d'Azure as a Junior Lieutenant serving aboard a dreadnaught heavy cruiser. His family's political influence and his skills helped him quickly move through the ranks, reaching the rank of captain by the age of 26. He was to command a CR90 Corvette. The corvette would be his flagship until he became a Lieutenant Commander at the age of 28. After that, he would be given the command of a Dreadnought class heavy cruiser. Despite the militaristic traditions of the planet, he had little to no real combat experience before the outbreak of the clone wars. He would occasionally stop smugglers, but other than that, the core proved to be a peaceful place. During this time, the separationist movement was increasingly becoming more worrisome. He did not understand how loyal Republican citizens and planets were willing to break away from the Republic and pledge allegiance to another man. It was treason, and he was not the only one that felt that way. It was no surprise to him and his family when the first battle of Geonosis happened. His father would pay for the Eternal Flame back to the Kaut drive yards for it to be refitted for war, while Liu Bao Rui and his brother were commissioned as a Lieutenant Commodore and Rear Admiral respectively. His father would send the procurator to be refitted at the Kaut Driveyards.

Liu Bao Rui would be a part of several major engagements during the Clone wars including the battle of Christophsis, where he would be apart of the relief forces sent to aid Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Admiral Wulf Yularen. He would perform admirably during this battle and would be promoted to the rank of Commodore. His father's procurator would be finished refitting in 20 BBY. His new flagship, Swift Winds, would take part in the Malevolence campaign. These battles gave the young commodore the experience he needed, along with showing him the truth about war. In 19 BBY, with the establishment of the Empire, Liu Bao Rui felt betrayed by the chancellor that he had once supported. Despite this, in the same year be was promoted for his actions during and after the malevonce csmpaign. The Jedi, while no friends of his, were a stabilizing force in the galaxy, and he failed to see how they would revolt against the very Republic that they had fought for and defended for several millennia. He was further outraged when many generationals were demoted or outright replaced with what he saw as incompetent naval officers. He would continue to serve the new Empire, as it was his duty, but the longer he served, the more disgruntled he became. To ensure his crew's loyalty, he had many of the officers and crewmembers replaced with new officers and crewmembers that were either staunchly Republican and or loyal to his family. Later that year, he would come in contact with admiral Leopold Ferar. They were both staunch Republican loyalists, and due to this, both the Swift Wind took part in the Battle over Calmora. In his reports, he stated that a large CIS force, including a lucrehulk, was taking part in this engagement, and the Swift Wind was dispatched to assist in the defense of Calmora. Several other Loyalist ships took part in this battle. They included two dreadnought heavy cruisers and five arquitens. Liu Bao Rui is currently based near his home planet of Anaxes and is willing to indirectly support and fund the Grand Republic Reclamation Fleet. After this battle, he was promoted to the rank of vice admiral and his flagship was changed from the Swiftwind to the Eternal Flame, another venator. Where he again replaced the crew he distrusted with members that he did.

Biography:
His life would probably be a boring one, just like his father's, and his grandfather, and his great-grandfather and so on and so forth, tiring themselves on some backwater farming planet, getting a family and passing on the legacy of farmers on some planet, and while he wasn't fine with that, he never did rebel against the work on the farm, the only thing that coul!d be considered as straying from the norm would be his interest in speeders and his very active participation in local speeder races.


Ever an optimist he was sure it'll work out somehow, and that he'll be able to leave behind his homeplanet to become a celebrity, or a millionaire, he daydreamed a lot in that time, maybe he'll get lucky and he will be the founder of a giant space company, supplying planets with food, or maybe the speeder races he took part in on his old family speeder will one day be witnessed by a talent hunter and he will become a professional speeder racer.

Unfortunately, the Clone Wars came, and his planet swept alongside it, he was 19 at the time when the two armies landed on his homeplanet, suddenly he was displaced, his parents missing, his home a burnt down husk, only the old speeder to his name, it was a long year, through which he went mostly malnourished, but still ever an optimist he was sure it'll work out, maybe once one side wins they will rebuild his home, everybody's home, he heard so much about how willing the Jedi are to help, and he heard Separatists also promised a better life, and the fighting went on.

But one day, the armies just... Left, no grand victory of one side, one army retreated when the fighting started to decisively not favor them, and the second pursued, no grand victory, no heroic last stand, no grand rebuilding, no nothing, just lot's of clone corpses and droid parts lying around burnt out homes, it was the first time his idealism, his optimism for the took a hit, but he could not do anything, nobody to share his frustartions with, just another poor soul in the constant stream of victims who where on the wrong planet at the wrong time.

So he welcomed the founding of the Empire with enthusiasm, the Republic failed at keeping the peace in the Galaxy, and ensuring the safety of civilians, maybe the Empire will do better he thought, and when the first recruitment center opened on his home planet, he sold his old speeder and rushed to get enlisted, as many others disgruntled by the Republic he joined the ranks of the newly established Imperial Army.

However, by some miracle, may it was his keen knowledge in speeders, maybe it was just luck, or maybe he really was just good at the whole soldiering thing that he got selected to become the elite force of the Imperial Army, a Stormtrooper, maybe one of the first few people who weren't clones to be in their ranks, he took to the news with incredible joy, and was ready to receive whatever training they had in store.

And now, finally, fresh out of rigorous training he will be going into action, on a planet far away from his home, his first ever action, he got assigned to a squad of 9 clones, most of them veterans of Clone Wars, he hopes he will meet their expectations and excel in the heat of action, he never would consider, or even believe they may think less of him because he isn't a clone, how mistaken he was...

Personality: Normally reserved and distant, Wald will put himself in positions of danger to help his friends or simply people who can't help themselves. He considers himself to have a good moral compass, and tries to be honorable in his actions, although his dealings with the Empire has caused him to lose some of his ideals about fighting honorably against a dishonorable enemy.

Biography: Born and raised in the Five Points System as a Spacer, Wald's parents were cargo haulers that made a living ferrying cargo at sub-light speeds between the planets due to the astroid and debris that littered the system. It wasn't glamorous work, but it feed the family. Learning as a kid how to fly, at the age of 18 he would leave his parent's shipping company to strike out on his own. After a few odd jobs and business ventures gone wrong, he would end up signing on as a bounty hunter for some time.

He would see the Outer Rim for some time, traveling and getting into scraps with outlaws. Eventually his band would be hired by the separatists to disrupt smaller Republic shipping lanes. While capturing smaller cargo vessels was easy and they were making good money, Wald had disliked the idea that they had basically become pirates. However, the rest of the bounty hunters didn't take kindly to him losing heart in their work, and after a brief firefight, Wald escaped with a captured Republic shipping vessel.

However, when he found his way to the nearest Republic Outpost, they dealt with him like a pirate, as he arrived on a stolen vessel. Wald kept his mouth shut about his former comrade's location, and ended up in a prison. However, his sentence was light as he turned himself in peacefully along with returning stolen property, and just as he was about to be released the Republic fell and became the Empire. Him and the other inmates were sent to a labor camp on some no-name rock to mine minerals to fuel the growing Imperial navy.

One Inmate had brushed a guard the wrong way, and when Wald stepped in to break up the fight he got sentenced to corporal punishment for his troubles, the warden wishing to make an example of him. Not long after he was able to seize the opportunity to escape on a cargo vessel, and luckily enough it berthed in the Five Points station to refuel and get refitted. Wald would then escape and get passage to the planet Hirara, where he would start taking odd jobs until he saved up enough to buy an old blaster.

Ok, so, uuh, what happened in IC so far?

My latest post has messages for Ralnis and Abbeyverne before the shooting starts. Just don't want you guys to miss them bc they're a ways into the post.

With regard to Sianni's gunships, I recognise I didn't mention them in my original App, but I figured that if you look at the stats for a Diamond-class Cruiser, it's pretty clearly a droid carrier, and in lieu of droids I think a former-space pirate would probably have kept some form of armament down in the hold and gunships of some variety fits the sort of ad-hoc space pirate image I have for the casino fleet more generally and also given the 'security' bit of Sadaar Sabacc & Security.

Happy to defer to those more knowledgeable than me on hardware as to what type of gunships would be appropriate?

Otherwise, I genuinely cannot wait to see how this goes...
