hi can i change myself from social democracy to authoritarian democracy

Basically Osphen was a more authoritarian government that started to democratise since the tail end of the 1950s. The military, especially in the Navy and much of the army, were staffed with liberal officers who were tacitly given the task of preventing coup attempts and protecting democracy. Democratisisation has been creeping in slowly since then, and the first elections were held only several years before the start date of the canon. Osphen has a while to go before it becomes a full democracy, but we're getting there.

Currently, Osphen is a Constitutional Monarchy with both an elected upper house and lower house. The head of government is chosen from the party leader who has the majority in the Senate. Constitutionally they are selected by the monarch, but in recent years the monarch has selected the leader of the majority party. Osphen is organised federally in order to best represent regional and ethnic interests, especially in the east and in Syria.

The military and business tycoons still have large amounts of influence in government, with factions in the military having in the past both sabotaged and protected democratization efforts, and tacitly still expected to have a hand in politics.

Historically, members of the lower house were elected, but held little power and were unable to propose or vote on bills, and only existed to be "consulted" by the senate and the King and his deputies. In 1950, the King began democratisation reforms which led to the current system.

With Deseret's diverse wealth of resources and the guidance of John Browning, Deseret industrialized itself and made inroads with the international community to cement itself as a nation to stay now over 100 years later.

The Legislature is run by the National Assembly composed of 200 seats in the Senate and 600 Seats in the Sejm. The Legislature has the power to pass laws that do NOT that violate the constitution. Judicial Branch: The government branch which interprets the law. It ensures necessary adherence to the constitution by all other government members and acts as a body to root out corruption in the other branches. By acting in a prosecutorial capacity and thereby most probably having certain control over an agency with the purpose of tracking and investigating possible corruption in other government sectors. Government System (short description): The Amalian Government is a Presidential Republic, divided between the Legislative, the Judicial, and Executive Branch. The Legislative Branch is in charge of proposing bills and voting on them, and is made up of the Amalian Congress, which is further divided into two houses. The House of Representatives, and the Senate. It is here where bills are debated by representatives, and senators. For a bill to pass, it must go through both houses successfully with a majority agreeing on it.

If a bill passes, then it is brought before the Executive Branch, made up of the President and Vice-President, whom is picked by the President-Elect during an election. It is here the President passes a law into motion, although they do hold the power to veto it if they see fit.

If the President passes a law, it is then up to the Judicial Branch, made up of the Supreme Court, to go about enforcing and interpreting that law. The Supreme Court is the highest court in Amalia, and is able to pick and choose which cases it follows, and which it does not. Cases are required to involve Federal Law in one way or another, or be about laws the laws of more than one state in the Union. Currently, the Court is made up of one Chief Justice, and eight Associate Justices, both of whom are hand picked by the President, and confirmed by the Amalian Senate.

The President is elected every 6 years in the month of November, and may be elected for an unlimited amount of terms, though if defeated, they may not run again. However, there are a series of checks and balances that limit the Presidents power, to ensure a healthy and safe democracy, free from potential autocrats vying for control.

Brief History (use to justify Geopolitical Status): After fighting a bloody revolution to gain independence from Great Eilean, Amalia established itself as a newly independent country. For years after, immigrants would come to Amalia seeking a new life, leading to an ever increasing population. This, along with taking notes from it's father nation and rapidly industrializing, led to Amalia becoming a industrial powerhouse.

Amalia would soon expand westward, every increasing it's territory until it reached the Pacific Ocean, even buying the territory of Wilnamia from Eilean. However, internal issues would split the country, leading to a civil war and the CSA splitting from the country. Despite early success, eventually the mounting casualties and increasing cost of the war demoralized the population, along with further revolution in the West led to Amalia to sue for peace. This setback cost the country dearly, and it took years for it to recover. Despite this, Amalia continued to industrialize the regions it still held on to, and when the Great War broke out in Europe, Amalia eventually joined on the side of the Concorde-Cordiale. It was here Amalia proved itself to be a military power to be reckoned with, and the war helped further increase Amalia's industry.

While facing setbacks, Amalia continues to be an industrial and military powerhouse in the world, with immigration still going strong as ever.

Members of the council are considered specialists because of their high levels of education and years of experience in their fields of expertise. They are highly respected and hold almost absolute power together. They are elected every 5 years by the people in a national vote. That also means that the people have the power to vote a member of the council out of his position for misuse of power and influence if more than half of the council members agree (the accused cannot take part in the Council Vote). Because of the high number of candidates for every position, the elections are the biggest event and can last as long as a month (as it happened at the 1965 election which lasted 34 days).

Parliament members of the House of Representatives are elected from the party and to pass bills and legislations. Qualifications include rigorous PHD academic qualifications and expertise in diverse fields of occupation. Elects the monarch after internal royal elections and selections. Members of the parliament can only be from the members of the Arsacid United Front political coalition with the Arsacid Mertiocratic party leading the nation. House of Experts and Deputies: Are also elected from the party and the intelligencia and voted into office to represent the religious elements of the country. They can veto bills and approve bills from the lower court. Individual members can be promoted by the lower house to serve as administrator and vice premier of the state in the state council. The religious authorities cannot motion for change or support any bills but can delay bills if they do decide details of the bills have to be worked around. They are Non-Partisan members of the house. Members of the house excluding religious members can approve of the selection of the monarch after internal royal elections and selections and election in the House of Arsacid Commons. Members of the parliament can only be from the members of the Arsacid United Front political coalition with the Arsacid Mertiocratic Monarchist party leading the nation.

Judicial Branch: Are typically independent former party members chosen by the houses of the legislative branch of the government and are elected by the legislative branch. They also need to pass multi level bar exams to be part of the judicial system and have to work their way to the top supreme people’s court. Has the right to interpret the constitution.

Party: Has the de-facto power which controls state power. Serves under the principle of democratic centralism in which decision of the majority has to be respected by the minority. Members of the party are chosen from society by performance through rigorous exams and passing scores. Members of the party can serve in local levels of the country through popular elections and the general elections of the masses on the local levels. Afterwards they can serve as party secretaries advising the general provincial government then to serve into state levels and so on. The party and the parties of the Arsacid United Front can nominate candidates to serve in the houses of government and in the state council.

The mods will approve you as technocracy if you make the following changes:
The House of commons can override any monarchical veto or action with a simple majority, including approval/disapproval of the Premier (i.e. if the Premier is not approved by the monarch a simple majority in the Commons can have the Premier be approved). The House of Experts and Deputies cannot veto any bills from the House of commons, only delay them. Lastly the Commons will be the final vote for the Monarch. The point of this changes is so that the technocratic aspects of the government are dominate over the religious aspects. Therefore qualifying as technocracy.
