Changing gov/econ type

Postby Cotour » Thu Nov 19, 2020 2:45 pm

Is putting an NPC in your sphere of influence enough to be able to modify their government and economy type? If not, is coup/uprising the only possible way to achieve that?

If a player gets an preferential trade agreement, or free trade agreement, etc can they export their resources to that NPC in return for a fair amount of yearly points (relative to the relationship they are getting).
i.e. 10 oil for 2 yearly points

Osphen and Cotour: Denied, submarine prices were lowered so you are overspending

Italy: Approved

Serk: It will take a few IC months to build the base, depending on the amount of index points you two invest into Azeri infrastructure. A min of 1 point invested has the base completed in 3 IC months, 2 points, 1.5 months etc. Where these points come from is up to you and Mes. Just don't forget the multiplier Mes has.
You must have 60 points invested in infrastructure at least, other players can invest in your infrastructure if they want at a .6 modifier (i.e. 1 yearly point from them increases your infrastructure by .6)

Cotour yes they can, but it will be slow changes at mod discretion over multiply IC years

Yotta: 20-30 is the introduction of high speed across a few major routes, 30-40 is more widespread, and 40+ is everything is basically high speed

GE: approved

PCCA: Mods approve/determine the points, but yes

Index Change

Postby Cotour » Fri Nov 20, 2020 9:07 am

I know canon has already started, but to accommodate my history, and with the newest post about high speed rail, I'd like to be able to transfer 3 points form financial to infrastructure to better reflect the level of rail development in my nation and to correspond with what is on the history document.

Indonesian history

Postby Imperialtha » Sun Nov 22, 2020 8:43 am

the mods have added some history regarding Indonesia and the ongoing cold civil war in the area.

March 1978 inspired by the protests and uprisings in Southeast Asia, Indonesian students march for further independence from the UK.
They are secretly supported by the sultan Hamengkubuwono IX
Nov 1978, Indonesians start a non cooperation movement with the Eileanic government and boycott their goods.
May 1980, after two years of protests the UK withdraws from Indonesia, allowing the Sultan to establish it's own government. Though the Sultan is still weak and relies on local elites to support him
August 1980 with support from Taiyin and the newly formed SUSEA, the People's Republic of Indonesia is declared on the island of Borneo.
Sept 1980 in order to protect their business, the Republic of Indonesia is declared on the island of Sumatra
Nov 1980 A paramilitary force called the Indonesian liberation front declares control of Sulawesi. Stating that Indonesia from free itself from the post-colonial elites, and the weak sultanate.
March 7th 1989: Hamengkubuwono X becomes Sultan of Indonesia

the mods have decided that for the purposes of the NPC mechanic, we will only count up to 100 provinces, that is if an NPC has more than 100 provinces, only the first 100 will be counted when determining the amount of influence points needed to spend on that NPC.

This lowers the cost of some NPC from needing 900+ points to go from neutral to SoI to 750.

History addition:

Postby Yottabota » Tue Nov 24, 2020 1:25 pm

Addition to the Treaty of Central City:

June 13th, 1959 - The Central African Air Force, under orders from the High Chairman, engages in Operation Downfall. At 3:28am, an A11 Strategic Bomber with a small escort flew over the city of Pretoria and dropped a 12kt nuclear bomb over the city. While initial projections estimated deaths in the low hundreds, the final death count of the bombing ranges from 50,000 to 120,000, The bombing occurred with no warning. Following the bombing, the South African government surrendered. The “Treaty of Central City” created a demilitarized zone, 20 miles from the border for the CAU and 50 miles from the border for South Africa, the succession of northern Namibia into the CAU, "and the creation of a Non-Aggression Agreement, which will become null and void effective June 13th, 2009."

Request

Postby Dakya » Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:50 am

I would like to request for the ability to post earlier than the rules allow. The death of Trotsky happened on 25th of January and I was unable to make the post earlier due to school reasons.
If that request is denied I'd like to change the date of his death from the history doc to a later date.

2 Questions

Postby Cotour » Wed Nov 25, 2020 12:45 pm

1.) Who has the capability to carry out an investigation on the CAU-South Africa Conflict and how would this investigation be carried out?

2.) Can I get a PTA with Burma and Nepal for 62 influence points?

Cotour:
we will move your 3 points from Financial to Infra
we noticed your army and solider point totals are off. We multiplied the cost presented by the amount list i.e. 6 Light Division (Arty, AA) - 5 Soldier, 4 Army -> 30 Soldier points 24 army points. Please provide more clarity and check your numbers.
Cotour PTA with both approved.
any player can request from the mods what info they would know domestically, but besides that any player can ask both the CAU and SA for documents and details. Of course CAU has more evidence than the SA has

TNRR
The same as what Yotta needs for his highspeed rail
"20-30 is the introduction of high speed across a few major routes, 30-40 is more widespread, and 40+ is everything is basically high speed"

Yotta history addition approved

Osphen military approved, you can now steal the balkans from Cass

PCCA military approved

Dio backdating approved:

The following players are 1 week away from being declared inactive. Please get a post up when possible or talk to Tara about an exception to the rules.
Acuisia
Balkan Confederation
Dru
Galasie
Ismeil
Norsia
Osphen
