I will add that I have some time constraints here.
For the moment I can easily put out a 2,000~3,000 word post every day if I need to (and if I actually have something interesting to write about, which will probably be the bottleneck) and I said so on the strawpoll, but that's only until the end of the month and I'll probably be back down to 2~3 posts a week in September.

Military Description
The Indian Military is one of the largest in its world, only beaten by the PROC and the USSR, with a total of 2.9 million active personnel. It is, across the board, relatively poorly equipped, with an emphasis on Quantity over Quality, and an even higher emphasis on simplicity and reliability. Most Indian equipment and ships are imported from the USSR or PROC, however a significant minority of small arms, and a majority of aircraft, are Indian manufactured.
Army: The Indian Military is one of the largest in its world, only beaten by the PROC and the USSR, with a total of 2.9 million active personnel, the largest portion of which is stationed on the Indo-Pakistani and Indo-Afghani borders. They are relatively poorly equipped, however, with mainly secondhand Soviet and Chinese equipment, or equipment from them built on license. Those few Indian weapons and armoured vehicles are considered generally to be slightly inferior to their Chinese counterparts. The Indian armoured corps is small, with most of India's emphasis being put on infantry, and with most of their armoured force being made up of apcs, ifvs, and faster, lighter tanks.
Navy: The Indian Navy is rather small, mostly consisting of Destroyers, Frigates, and Coastal Defense vessels. Their primary mission is patrolling the area between the Eastern Indian coastline and the Andaman Islands. Before the event, however, the AIPNR had been in talks with the USSR to purchase older vessels and vessels the USSR no longer needed as part of a Naval Expansion project. No ships had yet been delivered.
Air Force: The Indian Air Force, compared to the Navy and Army, is actually relatively well equipped, and large as well. Built up as part of an Aerospace arms race with Pakistan in the late 1980s, the Air Force is actually mostly made up of Indian-designed aircraft, with a heavy emphasis on Close Air support and Strategic bombing.
National Goals : dont explode, maybe colonize pakistan and sri lanka
History : The AIPNR, or All Indian National People's Republic, was proclaimed on April 22nd, 1969, at a meeting of the All-Indian Coordination Community of Communist Revolutionaries, or AICCCR. Proclaimed by Kanu Sanyal, the AIPNR was rather weak at first, securing only support among downtrodden tribes and a minority of college students, it rapidly gained popularity following the 1971 Indian intervention in the Bengali Independence war. What had started as Guerrilla warfare rapidly blossomed into all-out civil war as Calcutta was pronounced the capital of the revolution. Numerous Disparate factions rose against the central government of New Delhi, however most eventually collapsed into the fold of Kanu Sanyal's AIPNR. The war was bloody, though the Southern half of the subcontinent felt almost none of the fighting, most of it happening around New Delhi, the western border with Pakistan, and the eastern border with Bangladesh. While the AIPNR initially fought for the liberation of Bangladesh from both Pakistan and India, eventually the movement swayed towards integrating the Eastern Bengal delta into India proper.
The Indian Civil War lasted 6 years until the end of the decisive Siege of New Delhi by AIPNR forces. The city, and central government, formally surrendered on March 17th, 1977, capitulating to the AIPNR in exchange for the Revolutionary forces driving out the Pakistanis. Pakistan and the Transitionary Indian government signed a formal ceasefire a week later, although a treaty to end the war was never signed due to disputes over the Janmu-Kashmir area. In the immediate aftermath of the Civil War, India aligned itself closely to both the PROC and USSR, even though it knew that balancing both was not a move that could last, as it concentrated on rebuilding itself and establishing the new AIPNR government as a more permanent institution. The capital of Calcutta was chosen due to its significance to the revolution, while New Delhi was demoted to merely regional capital of Haryana. While the Indo-Sino-Soviet alliance was short lived initially, it served as the groundwork for the Sino-Soviet Reconciliation of 1989, and served to bring the Indian economy back up to pre-civil-war levels much faster than what would've otherwise been possible.
Most of the late 70s and early 80s were spent rebuilding the Indian economy and industrial base from the ground up, as the Communist Party of India reevaluated what the previous Republican government had done, or rather not done, to bring India into the industrial age. The Ganges River Valley was chosen as the country's new industrial heartland as cities along the river were built up, while the more untouched southern portions of the nation were either left alone, or repurposed for mass agriculture. The latter half of the period is also known as when the Bengal Colonization project began, in which Hindi Indians were encouraged to settle in the Bengal Delta, while Muslims were forced to either renounce their faith or be relocated. The rapid Indianization of the delta was considered a success, however the West decried the action, encouraging Pakistan to temporarily break the ceasefire and encroach on Indian Kashmir. The offensive was quickly repelled, however, and status quo was restored, though formal peace still has not been signed.
The late 80s were a time of growth for the industrializing nation, as while the economy had at least recovered since the Civil War, it was still weak compared even to its Communist contemporaries. 1987 saw the execution of a new diversification project, wherein the Indian economy started expanding from just farming equipment to more general vehicle and industrial equipment production, though quality of said new equipment is questionable at best. 1989 saw the reunification of the Communist Bloc as the USSR began feeling a major economic downturn, forcing it to come to the negotiating table with the Maoists of China and India. While the two factions maintain fierce ideological differences, the Sino-Soviet Reconciliation was seen as necessary to repel the influence of the West on the Eastern Bloc, and to help mutually reinforce the economies of the three major powers. Time would only tell if this alliance would be enough to save the USSR from the coming decade, time that India would never get to see...
At the turn of the decade, India initially felt largely the same as the late 80s. However, late 1990 saw a fierce buildup of the Revolutionary Army and Air Force on the Pakistani-Afghani border as India sought to aid in the Soviet Occupation of Afghanistan and put an end to the conflict with Pakistan once and for all. The offensive was scheduled to begin February 12th, 1991. Indian forces would storm across the border into Pakistani-occupied Janmu and Kashmir while simultaneously making an armoured push into the vast deserts of Baluchistan, pincering and surrounding central Pakistan and setting India up to both aid in the occupation of Afghanistan and to strike at the heart of the Pakistani government. However, the morning of February 12th, the Indian offensive would find nothing; no signs of life, no buildings, no roads. The event had occurred...

Population : 36,000,000
Majority/Official Culture: Sumaävaa
Majority/State Religion: Tiensänism
Major Industries / Economic sectors: Wood, aircraft, naval vessels, furniture, steal, aluminium, titanium, tourism, religion.
Amount of Industrialization: Sumaävaa’s large number of industrial cities has long made it an economic powerhouse of the region. Sumaävaa is not, and has never been shy about using it’s large swath of natural resources for it’s nations own gain. It is for this reason that the northern nation has remained one of the most dominant military and economic powers on the north Meridonian continent. It’s major exports include raw industrial materials such as wood, and metals. Sumaävaa is not one to purely defile nature, however, and all industrial efforts to extract resources are done carefully and with the approval of the Tiensänist church.
Economic Description: The Sumaävaan economy is largely built around the export of raw materials, such as wood and metals, industrial goods, and military equipment in exchange for food. Sumaävaa has long been one of the main arms producers on the Meridonian continent rivaled only by the nations of Dachalia and Valden in ground and air equipment. Sumaävaa is the largest producer of contract naval equipment in Meridon.
While fresh water is easy to come by for the lake dotted northern country food is not. Sumaävaa is almost entirely dependent on food imports to feed its people. Were it not for a fairly sizable fishing industry it would be entirely dependent on forign food imports should it wish to sustain both its population and level of industrialization.
Technological Level:
A mix of modern and most modern tech. The vast majority of technology is the cutting edge of currently available modern tech. There are a handful of more advanced units fitted with things such as railguns. Civilian technology is far more advanced with effective and efficient hydrogen fuel cells, and a fully nuclear / green energy system.
Magic and other shenanigans?: “Magic” has always been a practice in Sumaävaan religious tradition. Battle mages were a common site on ancient fields of combat and many theorize it is their presence that allowed the Sumaävaan’s to defeat the ancient Valden Empire. The time and training needed to become a mage are very intensive and so it is rare for a mage to practice more than one type of magic. Since magic is, at its core, merely bending reality to one's will, there are a small number of mages who have broken away from the classical schools of magic and developed their own unique spells and abilities along with them. The only way to legally study magic is at a designated university. Universities are run by the Tiensänist Church and funded by the military. Attendance at such a school carries with it mandatory military service. University attendance is restricted to women only.
Military Description
Though generally neutral in most military disputes the Republic of Sumaävaa has always maintained a fairly large military force. Since the end of the Second Valden War however the Sumaavaan military has been one of the largest in all of Meridon. The reasoning for maintaining such a large military was the post war tension caused Sumaävaa’s refusal to join the Finorskian Supranational Union at the end of the war. Since then they have maintained a strong military presence along their border, and a powerful navy ready to “defend” the country against hostile powers such as the Communist Capisarian Federation, and the United Nations of Finorskia.
Service in the military is voluntary though a conscription system does exist to fill out numbers if there is a shortage of active personnel. Enlistment was once restricted to men only but has since been opened up to women as well. Women enlisting in the Sumaavaan military are given an automatic two rank promotion. While in basic they are held to a higher standard then the men and failure to meet that standard results in their being washed out. Upon completion of basic training female enlistees are given another automatic promotion to the rank of Kersantti (Sergeant). Officer schools are paths from enlistment to commissioning and are still restricted to women only. The inclusion of women in the enlisted ranks has not removed the ability for men to obtain non-commissioned officer ranks.
The combined Sumaavaan military numbers roughly 200,000 active duty personnel with about 300,000 reserves.
Army:
The Sumaävaan army makes up the bulk of the nation's armed forces. The Army Corps of Regulars comprises 3 divisions:
1st Division (Infantry)
2nd Division (Cavalry)
3rd Division (Airborne)
4th Division (Logistics)
The rest of the armies personnel fill support and bureaucratic positions.
Total Manpower:
25,000 combat and combat adjacent personnel
75,000 non-combat personnel
Navy:
The Sumaävaa navy has long since been the pride of the nation. At one point it consisted of a massive surface fleet with numerous carriers. It has since shrunk in size and converted ever increasingly to a submerged attack force.
Current Naval Force
1st Fleet
1st Attack Squadron
1x Palastuss-class (Alicorn) Super Heavy SLBM / Carrier Submarine

4x Maakunta-class (Baden-Wurtemburg) Frigates
Total Personnel (including bureaucrats, maintenance crews, and security): 60,000
Air Force:
The Sumaävaan Air Force is tasked with the protection of the skies above Sumaävaa. Though the smallest of the 3 branches it is more than capable of fulfilling the task at hand. The Airforce is comprised of:
1st and 2nd Air Defense Groups: 72 fighters
1st Bomber Group: 32 Strike Fighters
1st and 2nd: Support Groups
1st Transport Group
Total personnel (including bureaucrats, maintenance crews, and security): 20,000
National Goals :
Having just been suddenly ISOT’ed and finding themselves now bordering much more powerful nations Sumaävaa’s goals will remain largely unchanged. Defend itself and culture from hostile incursion, make strong allies, trade for necessary resources and try to stick to itself. Should the opportunity present itself Sumaävaa may try and expand its borders but this is unlikely.
History:
Ancient and Medieval History
The history of Sumaävaa begins with a number of religiously similar tribal nations in the north eastern corner of the Meridonian Continent. Originally these tribal nations had a split governance system where in rulership was in the hands of male patriarchs and religious rule fell to the female shamans. For thousands of years people of the Sumaävaan culture group had no contact with other cultures with the exceptions of the Finobarn people who they drove from their homes.
In 708CE the Sumaävaan people had their first contact with non-Sumaävaan’s when a group of Fishermen discovered the destroyed Verdean settlement of Boreales del Norte. Along with the settlement they also discovered the dead dark skinned bodies of the Verdeans who had built the settlement. The Shamans believed these people demons and the site was declared unholy and forbidden. As the years progressed the Sumaävaan people met more and more outsiders and by 850 CE they had begun to adopt feudalism.
In 932CE Isarlean Merchants established a series of settlements along the Sumaävaan coast. These settlements displaced a number of local tribal nations and by 947 had a population of around 3,000 across 7 towns. The Sumaävaan people struggled to push back the Isarleans in a number of wars from 960-1061CE which saw the Sumaävaan tribal nations losing their sovereignty and becoming a protectorate of Isarle. The Sumaävaan people would lose more and more sovereignty as a result of having to sign unfair treaties to get the Isarlean’s to protect them from the invading Valden Empire.
Sometime between 1100 and 1138CE the religious leaders of Sumaävaa, fearful of what might become of Sumaaväan culture and religion met at High Rock, a sacred mountain top location said to be where humankind first emerged from Louvuss’s garden. At this meeting the Shamans declared an edict of “No Confidence in Man” and established a High Council of Priestesses (the change from Shaman to Priestess was dones as a political move to enforce their political power in the eyes of the Isarléans). The Edict essentially declared that the men, who had been ordained by the god of creation to lead and protect womankind, had failed in their sacred duties and allowed a heretical outside group to invade and occupy sacred land, and infest the Sumaaväan people with demons. This edict thus disbanded all authority that the tribal leaders held from the Sumaaväan religion and put that power instead in the hands of the new priestesses. The Establishment of the Council of High Priestesses was the official beginning of the Theocratic Republic of Sumaaväa.
Between 1129 adn 1148 CE after taking control and reforming their local tribal nations, using the extreme devotion of the Sumaaväan people, the new Council of High Priestess went before the king of Isarle and re-negotiated their treaties. Sumaaväa regained its sovereignty in exchange for a 99 year lease on the Isarlean ports.
In 1350 the Council constructed the 10 Grand Temples which would become the central holy sites of the reformed Sumaaväan religion.
Modern History
For most of its early years as a unified republic Sumaaväa chose to remain relatively isolationist. It focused heavily on protecting the culture and heritage of the Sumaaväan people. The theocratic government developed a number of public religious schools and colleges that allowed Sumaaväan women to attend and be educated. These were the first such public schools in Meridon. Public lower education would eventually be extended to men, but even in the modern era men lack access to such privilege.
Eventually Sumaaväa began to take advantage of the constant wars it’s neighbors fought, using their weekend state to poach useful territory from them. Sometimes other nations would attempt to fight Sumaaväa only to be deterred. By the 21st century no country, not the Verdean Empire, Valden, Nordlen, or Tokushima had successfully conquered any Sumaaväan land.
During the 1700’s Sumaaväa also began to build itself up as a naval power, and the Sumaaväan Navy would eventually be the force to defeat the grand Imperial Verdean Navy. By the 1940’s the Sumaaväan Navy was the largest, most powerful, and most advanced Navy on the continent. While it is no longer the largest, the modern Sumaaväan Navy is considered one of the most deadly in the region and serves as a powerful deterrent against possible invasion.
As Sumaaväa entered into the modern it’s culture continued to adapt and change. New fashion trends came to Sumaaväa and clothing designed to accentuate sexyness in other countries was viewed as accentuating power in Sumaaväa.
Modern Sumaaväan is in many ways different and in many ways similar to what it was over 2000 years ago. It is highly matriachical and religion dictates the lives of its citizens. Things considered illegal or taboo in the Sumaaväan religion are considered illegal and taboo in society.
Well it was over 6 pages long in G docs so you tell me.

Military Description The Italian military was made itself worthy call itself the successor of the Roman legions of old. The experience gained from the colonial wars and the Great War transformed Italy into one of the most modern Great Powers of Europe. With access to resources, abundant industrial production, excellent training, competent officers, and good logistics and coordination, Italy was able to fight France, Germany, and even the Soviet Union.
Army: The Italian Royal Army/Regio Esercito, having gone through countless reforms, is organized into six division types: Mechanized Infantry, Armored, Askari, Paracadutisti, Alpini, and Bersaglieri. Division size is usually 16,000 men except for the Armored divisions where it’s organized into 50,000 soldiers and 400 MBTs.
Paracadutisti: created in 1941, they're an élite airborne units (among the best in the world) that fought bravely at Corsica, Balearic Islands, and North Africa. Erwin Rommel, no great admirer of Italian martial skills, hailed them as easily the equal of any German unit, a tribute that speaks volumes. Italy also raised six divisions of paratroops, which saw extensive action throughout WWII.
Bersaglieri/Marksmen — founded in 1836, they're a high-mobility, light infantry Corps with a penchant for sharp-shooting (as the name suggests). They fought at the Battle of the Chernaya River, during the Crimean War, where they earned fame for countercharging the Russian cavalry and routing it; they were also the first corps to enter Rome on September 20, 1870, thus ending the temporal rule of the Pope and completing the Unification of Italy. Being the shock troops of the Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army), they suffered enormous casualties during WW1. In WW2, they fought in Africa, Germany, and on the Eastern Front with great distinction.
Alpini/Alpine Troops — They're the mountain troops of the Italian Army; having been founded in 1872, they are the oldest and finest active mountain infantry in the world. They fought all over the Alpine arch during WW1 and took part in some of the bloodiest battles of that war. During WW2, the Alpini fought a huge campaign of attrition against the French Mountaineer troops in the Alps before finally breaking through to reach Lyon.
Askari: These are the African and Islamic local soldiers serving in the colonial army of Italy. Often serve as garrisons and internal security divisions, some Askari divisions have earned fame fighting in WW1 and WW2 against the Ottomans, French, and British forces in North and East Africa. Despite receiving 2nd and 3rd rate equipment, the Italian Askari’s prove to be exceptionally loyal and militarily competent thanks to the experienced officer core of the Army. Following the model of the French Foreign Legion, any African or Arab that enlists to be an Askari will gain Italian citizenship once their service is completed or that they have been wounded in combat.
Navy:
The Royal Navy/Regina Marina takes the lion’s share of the Italian military budget. The Pride of the Italian Military fought decisive battles against the French and British fleets in the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean winning most of them. Regina Marina has access to plentiful of torpedo destroyers, AA light cruisers, sturdy heavy cruisers, powerful battleships, and three Pantheon-Class Superheavy Battleships Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto bearing down twelve 18 inch cannons on each ship.
Air Force:
Regia Aeronautica Italiana/Italian Royal Airforce was and still is a prestigious airforce in the international world as it held 33 world records far more than Germany, France, and the Soviet Union. Over 4,000 jet planes serve in the Regia Aeronautica as they provide extensive air support to the Army and Navy thanks to the airbases in Sardinia, Corsica, Malta, Suez, and Somalia. The famous Italian Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero medium bomber was exceptionally deadly in providing ground support for Italian troops in WWII, a doctrine that continues decades after the war ended.
National Goals : Restart international trade and maintain the colonial empire.
History : Italy has a relatively good record on warfare since its unification but most of its accomplishments were built on the success pre-unification as Two Sicilies. While Two Sicilies did a good job against the Ottoman-Sicilian War (1848), the Italian Brother’s War against Sardinia-Piedmont (1856), and the Sicilian-Tunisian War (1860), it was during the Scramble for Africa did Italy achieve international recognition. While Britain failed to colonize Ethiopia, Italy defeated the East African nation (1871) in its first war of conquest since unification. The Italian-Egyptian in 1876 cemented Italy’s prowess for war as it swept through Egyptian resistance and set up a protectorate. However, the first stumbling block for the new empire was a nationwide Socialist revolt on the mainland erupting simultaneously with a massive Urabi revolt. While the international community was expecting Italy to collapse in on itself, the Italian army pulled through and crushed the attempted revolution and the Islamic fundamentalist with brutal efficiency. This may have saved the kingdom but now it was apparent that more revolts would happen if reforms aren’t met. Universal male voting was established as well as a free press while Senate worked tirelessly signing bills to elevate workers’ rights and pension.
The 1890s to 1910s was Imperial Italy’s golden era as the kingdom enjoyed prestige and vast wealth from its massive colonial possessions. Even though Italy failed to surpass Germany and Great Britain in terms of size or might, Italians knew for the fact that their country would be no easy task to defeat.
That sentiment proved true in the Great War when France declared war on Italy over the region of Savoie and to retake Corsica. Britain, the world’s superpower took advantage and declared war on Italy in hopes of seizing Malta and the Suez Canal. Germany, sensing an opportunity, invaded France. The Soviet Union was distracted having to fight in the Soviet-Japanese War of 1915 over Sakhalin. After 4 years of brutal trench warfare and desperate naval battles did Italy finally triumph, albeit through heavy cost. Being a defensive war, Italy demanded only reparations given that the humiliation on Britain and France was enough. However, the Great Depression at the end of the war made any victory feel hollow.
The 2nd World War under Prime Minister Benito Mussolini renewed Italy’s status as a Great Power after having triumphed over Germany and the Soviet Union. This also marked the beginning of the Kingdom’s Social Liberal government. Despite the expansion of personal freedoms, welfare, housing, and liberal reforms, Mussonili was still an imperialist that was adamant that Italy retains its colonial empire. While in office, Libya, Tunisia, and Eritrea became the first colonies to be fully integrated into Italy with the process almost complete in Egypt and Somalia.
Mussolini’s protege and lifelong friend, Italo Balbo, succeeded him in 1960 as Italy’s 2nd Social Liberal PM. Like his predecessor, Balbo continued the policy of integrating the colonies and expanding the construction of nuclear plants to increase Italy’s nuclear arsenal.

Just Saint Helena
That's it

Military Description
Army: The 3000 strong garrison which he swayed to his side
Navy: 81 sloops
Air Force: He has a kite made from the sail of a Royal Navy ship that crashed on the south part of the island.
National Goals : France to the Rhine, fuck you Europa
History : (At least 1 solid paragraph) When Napoleon was exiled to Saint Helena in 1815, after his second failure to take Europe, many thought that would be the end of his page in history. Though with his military BRILLIANCE and INSURMOUNTABLE charisma he managed to sway the British garrison to his side. Also with his INCREDIBLE charisma, he convinced all the British people to become French... yeah. Without invoking the wrath of Britain again, he declared that the Empire of France lived on in Saint Helena and ran it as his own empire again. On a cove in the south of the island, he secretly began the construction of a "fleet to sink the Royal Navy," resulting in the 81 sloops which protect the waters around the Empire of France. Upon transportation to the new timeline, Napoleon salivated at the implosion of the British Empire, and immediately drafted plans for the reconquest of the French nation. Even though he's a tiny nation in the Mediterranean, he is entirely confident in his ability to re-instate the Continental System across Europe!
Napoleon may be losing his mind.
