If you are a noble do you start off with a better weapon then most? It said to be reasonable and how peasants wouldn't have a magical weapon nor do I think a minor second or later son or daughter will, but will they at least start off with slightly better weapons?

Yes, nobles can start with better equipment, but they don't get to assign stat points.

What does each number corrolate with? What does it mean roughly? Also can I redistrubute the existing stat points?

The higher the number, the more chançe you have of succeeding in encounters that require that stat. You can redistribute the starting points, but you cannot add more if you choose to be a noble.

Alright, this is my first RP on this website. If there’s anything I forgot or didn’t do right, please let me know (:

Name: Foánnachaedh CárrComaighæhàrr, læéf ū’dar Éighōnnahhan, læéf ū’dáirragh Æídūábairràddh ar’ Óānnmōuddicsédh | Foánnachaed Éighōnnahannæhàddh Æídūábairràddhoighàddæh (Foánnachaed, descendant of Comaigh, son of Éighōnnahhan, (grand)son of Æídūábairràddh the disgraced.)
Culture: Cynfeltch-Mārrburroghan
Sex: Male
Age: 18 Years of Age
Bio:
Foánnachaedh CárrComaighæhàrr, or Foánnachaed Éighōnnahannæhàddh Æídūábairràddhoighàddæh, as he was commonly known in his home village of Bálmannah, is the eldest son of Fúaighárst Éighōnnahhan, a local member of the nobility tasked with fullfilling feudal duties for other members of the hierarchical nobility. Bálmannah, much like the rest of the Mārrburroghan territories, are culturally and historically seperate to the Cynfelth people, to whom they nominally owe allegiance. The Mārrburrans are taxed, and their sons are drafted and sent to war, but their barren, far-fetched Northern lands have never been fully incorporated into the country, and their culture, which is seen as primitive and strange, as well as paganastic and animalistic with its polar influences from the great Frozen Wastes, is clearly distinct from that of their overlords. The legendary kings of Mārrburroghan once rose to liberate themselves from Cynfelth rule, but those rebellions were categorically put down, and now, only frightened mothers and reckless bards dare sing of the legends of old, when the hills, tundra and frozen swamps of Mārrburroghan ruled themselves.

This inhospitable, cold land brought forth a son, Foánnachaedh. He was raised as a nobleman, and easily learnt how to apply the proper etiquette, how to engage in discussion, debate and rhetoric, how to fight, how to read and write runes, and, most excitingly, how to ride the great moose that his family still bred. When he was but a lad he was considered healthy and tall for his age, especially when compared to the starved-out peasants of his village whom, if they lived through the winter, they likely only did so by sheer will alone. On his fourteenth birthday, he and his family traveled to the largest city in the Mārrburran territories, Béælnhábállán, to attend Bārnámæl’s Feast, a religious holiday for the high-god Bārnámæl, who ruled the skies and all the other gods above. They wanted to have their eldest son receive a blessing and vocation from the Máséaighannásrōadda u’ máîstîrrær, the Grand Council of Druids. The family had initially bribed the laymen of their religion to pledge their son to Máighásækkár, the god of law and judgment, or Bæssápáin, goddess of the harvest and the land. Each lord could lead a comfortable, homely life if they were selected to follow these deities, where their labour was not required, and the peasants did not dare doubt the power invested in them by their religion. However, Foánnachaedh was salved to follow Párrænnatuás, god of warfare and ambition, who had been exiled to earth after sleeping with one of Bārnámæl’s concubines, and who had led a rebellion against Cynfelth, where he was killed and allowed to return to Bārnámæl’s divine domain.

This meant that it would be virtually impossible for Foánnachaedh to lead a normal life as a noble, as those sworn to the god of war did hardly ever live beyond the age of thirty, and were called upon to bear steel and fight at all times. Mārrburroghan had been at peace for more than a hundred years, some even say two or three hundred, which meant that those sworn to Párrænnatuás flocked to mercenary companies outside of their home countries, where they could seize glory, spoils of war and honour for their families. And so, Foánnachaedh prepared himself for such a life for four long years, and, upon his eighteenth birthday, he fled from his parents’ estate in Bálmannah, never to return again.

The Mœchánnōuánoglaichs, as Mārrburran mercenaries are often called, lead solitary lives, defined by their time traveling from one location to another. Hearing of a war down South and a king that offered gold and titles, the young, inexperienced Foánnachaedh immediately ventured to fight for the Cynfelth, as his ancestors had done, and rode for Cailhad, taking his family’s prized ancestral weapons and his moose Peippînhe.

Appearance: Light red hair, a short stubble, bright green eyes. About 6’, broad-shouldered. Image
Equipment:
Weapons:
- Grand pinewood lance flying a guidon featuring his family’s colours.
- Sturdy heater shield, carefully crafted from an old hawthorne tree on the CárrComaighæhàrr estates
- Bœrránnæscœiaghállè, Or “Bearsbane”, an ancestral battleaxe passed down from father to son, carefully decorated with bronze runes spelling out “ ᛒᛖᛖᛈ ᛚᛖᛏᛏᚢᚳᛖ”, or “Woe to those who bear bad steel.” It is said to have been the axe that the legendary Comaigh used to defeat Mærranúllf, a giant mythological bear common in stories from Mārrburrogh.
- A bronze shortsword, forged right after Bārnámæl’s feast, when Foánnachaedh was selected to enter into the Mœchánnōuánoglaichs warrior class.

Armour & clothing:

- Chainmail armour, spanning from his head to his waist.
- Plate armour to guard his forearms, decorated with bronze ornaments depicting Mārrburroghan cultural imagery
- Nasal helm, decorated with blue symbols and runes, clearly denoting his occupation as a Nōuánoglaich.
- Sturdy boots made of elk leather
- A set of lightweight linen garments to wear under the armour when faced with subzero temperatures
- Thin padding to wear under the armour
- Brown gloves made of hareskin
- Thick cloak featuring several stitched-up hides, including: Fox, bear, hare, moose, elk, bobcat, amongst other wild animals

Utilities, supplies and other miscellaneous items:
- A tiny pouch made of pigskin, bearing decrepit chicken, lamb and elk bones, as well as one of his grandfather’s metatasal bones.
- A small purse, carefully crafted of elk skin
- A well-tailored bearhide sleeping bag
- A small wolfskin bag, filled with 10-odd pieces of deer jerky
- A flask made of a hareskin, containing fresh water.
House: A descendant of the legendary Comaigh of Hūahanna, Foánnachaedh belongs to Clan CárrComaighæhàrr, and was raised as a minor nobleman. (+5 S.P.)
Fighting: 2 | Despite the fact that Foánnachaedh has gone through extensive training in the usage of arms in hand-to-hand combat, he’s weakened by the fact that he mostly uses his bare strength and will instead of techniques or tactics that could be perceived as more effective. His inexperience in military matters, and the fact that he has not killed a man yet, make it so that he only knows how to fight from sparring lessons and the like, and has little to no practical knowledge.
Riding: 3 (+1 S.P.) | The CárrComaighæhàrr are regionally known for their domesticated moose, and commonly use them for transport, hunting and even battle. Children are taught how to ride them from a young age, and are gifted their own moose calf by the age of fourteen, which they are expected to raise themselves. This means that, aside from being proficient in riding these large creatures, The CárrComaighæhàrr have immense emotional bonds with their mounts.
Endurance: 3 (+1 S.P.) As a man of noble birth, Foánnachaedh did not have to provide for himself. Servants and retainers saw to the fact that the boy was to grow large and healthy, capable of defending himself and his country. That he did, and as he grew, he started to notice that he had an easier time bearing his steel and walking around in armour. Still, he’s both resilient and in shape, and can fight and engage in straining activities for prolonged periods.
Archery: 0 (-2 S.P.) | Growing up as a nobleman, Foánnachaedh received no archery training whatsoever. Due to the ancient traditions of his tribe, bowmanship was looked down upon, and scions were taught to use weapons in hand-to-hand combat, as they were deemed more chivalrous and honourable, as well as more suited to those of noble birth.
Charisma: 3 (+1 S.P.) | At court, Fúaighárst Éighōnnahhan invested a great amount of time and energy in his children’s tutelage. Priests, scalds and druids came from far to teach the CárrComaighæhàrr children the arts of poetry, rhetoric, history and folklore. They were taught to lead men under their banners if they were to take up their father’s Fúaighárræstárthōhum, and inspire the people as the new generation of rulers.
Agility: 1 (-1 S.P.) | Due to his large stature, Foánnachaedh is naturally slower than other men his age. His reliance on his moose for transportation and reliance on thick, heavy armour makes him a slow-moving target that often stands out from the crowd.

If you can't tell, I'm using an RNG to determine the outcome of battles and other events. Suffice to say, Offer Erapia rolled really high for the most part.

Wow, this is better written then anything I've ever made. Accepted! The part where you added where you moved the stat points to was incredibly helpful.

Extra information: I based this character off of the Scoto-Irish gallowglass, who were pretty much badass mercenaries from the Hebrides.

Wow, this is better written then anything I've ever made. Accepted! The part where you added where you moved the stat points to was incredibly helpful.

Glad to read that you liked it! :) Should I make a post introducing my character to the story, or would you rather kick things off with some information regarding Cailhadh’s capital, its people and general vibe?

Also: I edited in the runic inscriptions and some text regarding Foánnachaedh’s +1 in endurance. I’m hoping to post a photograph of my character’s appearance / face claim too!

I'll post something regarding Cailhad's capital to start things off.

Name: Liu Bao Rui
Culture: Dao Pi
Sex: Male
Age: 24
Bio: Liu Bao Rui was the third son born to Liu Jiajian, who was at the time, a captain within the Imperial guard. His two older brothers were five and three years old. Their family had been faithfully serving within the Imperial bodyguard of the Celestial Emperors for 10 generations by the time Liu Bao Rui was born. The position was hereditary with the eldest son inheriting the position. The Imperial Capital, like many of the cities of the Celestial Empire, were grand bastions of humanity. If a foreigner was to see the Imperial capital for the first time, it would be understandable for them to pause and stare in wonder. The walls of the capital were far larger than any other city found in the wall, with a population that could rival those of some smaller nations. Exotic animals, spices, and other objects were a common sight within the markets of the Imperial capital city of Tianxia. The Inner-city provided to be far more grandiose than the outer city with large villas dotting the clean and well-paved streets. Here were the various family compounds of high ranking scholar-officials, military officials, and the lower nobility. Within the Inner-city laid the Imperial palace, which was surrounded by walls with only those close to Imperial Family allowed to visit. House Liu was among the privileged few that were allowed in.

As he grew older, Liu Bao Rui was taught alongside his brothers in the arts of statesmanship, archery, riding, and the six great classics. His father was preparing him and his second brother for the Imperial Exams, which he hoped they would be able to pass. The Imperial Exams were started nearly a millennia ago with the Emperor of the time wishing for talented, worthy, and righteous officials to serve at his court. Reciting and memorizing the six great classics were among the most basic things that one needed to learn to be able to pass the exams. Those who could not recite and memorize it were ridiculed by their peers and were generally seen as a disgrace to the family. There was also a military exam but it was neglected for many reasons. Civilian officials were trusted more than military ones and were the ones to lead armies. Military officials were also deeply distrusted and they were often executed if they became too successful or popular among their troops. Liu Bao Rui, unlike his second eldest brother who was more scholarly, excelled at swordsmanship, riding, and archery. At age 15 he was gifted a heavenly horse, one of the rarest and most sought breeds within the Celestial Empire, by his father which he named Shadow Runner due to his speed. At the age of 16, he and his brother would travel to the Imperial Capital to take the Imperial exam, where only his elder brother would pass. In the following years, despite numerous attempts, Liu Bao Rui would still fail the exams. It wasn't until he reached the age of 22 that he would finally pass the Imperial examination. By that point, Liu Bao Rui had already become disenfranchised and decided to give up his position.

His father upon hearing this despaired and begged his son to reconsider. He told his son that life as a soldier was hard and even with his influence, he would be unable to give him a high ranking position. Despite all this, Liu Bao Rui would not change his mind. He told his father his plans of becoming a mercenary and earn honor and glory for his family that way. He would not succeed as a scholar-official, like his second brother nor would he be able to become an Imperial bodyguard for that position was his eldest brother's and he wouldn't become a soldier for he had forbidden him to become one. The only way for him to prove himself was to become a mercenary. His father upon hearing this, relented and allowed his son to take his horse, an ancestral weapon, Jian, and personal belongings and become a mercenary.

In the following years, he would take a variety of jobs. He would be protecting a caravan or village from bandits one week and fighting in a local noble's army the next. Hearing about the Celestial Emperor's wish to subjugate the barbarians to the north, Liu Bao Rui has decided to finally return to the Imperial capital

Appearance: (Image preferred)
Equipment:
Weapons:
- A Steel Jian made for him when he turned 14
- A Long-siyah horn bow called Wan Shi Gong. The bow was one of the three ancestral weapons of the family with the others being a sword made by the First Emperor himself for their ancestor's valiant service and a shield that came along with the sword. The Bow was given to them later by the Emperor's great-grandson for their family's loyal service during the civil war during the early parts of his rein. The bow is composed of purple sandalwood that is harder than steel but much lighter and if the stories are to be trusted, the bowstring was created by the sinew of a black dragon which gives it higher speeds and accuracy then a normal bow.
- 10 x bodkin point arrows
- 20 x iron mechanical arrows

Armour & clothing:

- Iron Lamellar armor that covers the knees along with lamellar shoulder guards
- Iron Lamellar helmet with a feather plume.
- Sturdy boots made of leather
-A thumb ring made of leather
- Several sets of Hanfu one of which is made of silk

House: House Liu, a noble family that has faithfully served and fought for the current Dynasty since the start of it. The family is among the few that have been allowed to serve as Imperial bodyguards with the second or first son inheriting that position. The founder of the House was one of the descendants of the legendary first Emperor of Celestial Empire
Fighting: 3| Liu Bao Rui has been trained in the way of the Jian ever since the age of 5, and has continued to train and use it ever since. The recent combat experiences have helped him further perfect his techniques and discover what moves work and what doesn't.
Riding: 3| Since the age of 12, Shadow Runner has been a constant companion of Liu Bao Rui comforting him on the coldest of nights and fighting alongside him during the worst of times. A strong bond has developed between the two with Liu Bao Rui spending more money on his horse to ensure his comfort and wellbeing. Shadow Runner is also one of the rarer and one of the best breeds of horses available to the Celestial Empire. Horses of this breed are generally faster, stronger, have better endurance, and live longer.
Endurance: 0
Archery:5| Growing up in the Celestial Empire, many of the Empire's nobility are expected to be well trained in the ways of the bow. Many among the Imperial court and the Inner provinces use such skills for courtly competitions, rituals, and hunting while those that live in the outer provinces are expected to one day use these skills to help defend the Empire from outside Invaders. Liu Bao Rui is no different and this is one of the few fields that he excels in.

Name: Kastor Aggripian
Culture: Augustan
Sex: Male
Age: 47
Bio: Kastor Aggripian was born in a relatively wealthy, if unassuming, family of farmers, who stood out among their neighbours as being one of a few families to actually own the land that they resided on and that they tilled. It was in this pleasant area that Kastor spent his formative years, running about the fields that surrounded the family's farm and neighbouring village, or making small trips to the river to practice fishing or swimming. However, like all good things, he couldn't spend much time idle, and such he began an education with a number of privately hired tutors, ranging in subjects from agriculture, history, to etiquette, however he generally disliked his studies, in particular the obsession with rank, titles, and tradition. As such, he became known as an unruly student, playing pranks and generally not paying attention, barely scraping through his exams. The only real subject he particularly enjoyed was that of his fighting lessons, which surprised many of his family members who abhorred the concept of fighting.

By the time Kastor had turned 20, it became clear to him that life as a farmer was not his destiny, finding his chores dull and frequently leaving him unfulfilled. It was at this point that war broke out with NATION and Kastor, eager to fulfil his wanderlust, joined the Augustan military to take part in the fighting. However, Kastor's actions saw him disowned by many of his family members due to their opposition towards both fighting and war as a whole, but this had little effect on Kastor, who instead threw himself headfirst into his military career. As a lowly footman, Kastor frequently found himself in the thickest part of the fighting, utilising his arms training to best his opponents, and on more than one occasion, he was one of the first to breach castle walls. The war itself lasted for six years and, at its conclusion, Kastor found himself at a loss for what to do next, in addition to missing an eye. With his own birthright of the farm gone, Kastor embraced the military lifestyle, finishing his career in the Augustan military after 10 years, after which he turned sellsword and has taken part in numerous wars in the following 15+ years. Currently, he's headed to Rykalan to join the Imperial forces against the Kingdom of Edithar, largely to already being within the area.

Thank you! Also, is it alright if I bump up Kastor's armour? I feel like his long years of service would mean he'd acquire some odd bits that I had neglected to include

To hire tutors especially during this time era meant that they would have been at least minor nobility or at the very least an extremely wealthy merchant family. No matter how relatively wealthy these farmers could get, they still wouldn't have been able to gain the money to hire tutors for their children just by working the land.

Yeah that would be better. Minor nobility is the less likely chance since he got disowned for joining the military. It is more likely it was a merchant family that had disowned him for what he did

May revise it to his family more reluctantly letting him go to war in that case, make him the second son so he wouldn't inherit
