Perfect! Honestly I can see our two nations going to war very quickly over a combo of ideological differences and territory disputes, it'll be interesting to play it out!

Been reading through the IC and OOC, and just realized how much a communist Mexico would feed the America First party in the south

of course, any controversy in the communist party of Mexico can and will be used against the communist party and the NRA in America. If there is even a remote hint of Mexico wanting Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California back, Huey can easily whip up the nationalist sentiment to win his election in a landslide

I normally use Paradox game files to quickly fill out region shapes in a map, but the next map I'm working on is too low-scale for that to be viable.

I hate tracing pictures of maps. I really, really do.

Area of Operations: South Jutland

Key:
In dark grey: seas, inlets, and other areas of water cover
In lighter grey: land not included in the area of operations
In blue: land included in the area of operations
In red lines: internal and external borders of the area of operations
In white squares: towns and cities of significant population

Background
The Commonwealth of Northern Socialist States have consistently viewed itself not only as an advocate for the international socialist movement, but also a strong advocate for the interests and freedoms of the so-called "northern peoples". As such, it has always been highly interested in the welfare of Scandinavian and Finnic cultural minorities abroad, including the Danish minority of Schleswig-Holsten, a province of the German Empire. With the collapse of the German Empire into civil war in 1936, the NSRS believed that a military intervention in the area could not only secure the safety of the Danish minority in the region from the terrors of the civil war, but also improve the Commonwealth's negotiating position with regards to any territorial demands it may wish to make on the German Empire. Thus, troops were deployed into South Jutland, the area of operations through the period 29th April - 1st May 1936 with the intent to stay and assist with security during the German Civil War.

Region A (alt. Region of Danish Cultural Settlement)
Region A, between the Northern-German border and the modified Clausen Line, is home to an estimated 170,000 inhabitants. While significant German-speaking populations do exist in the region, mostly in major towns and especially in Tønder/Tondern, such towns are economically dependent on their Danish-speaking countryside and the region is otherwise almost entirely Danish-speaking, with perhaps 80~90% of the total population of the region self-identifying as ethnically or culturally Scandinavian. We believe any loyalties harboured by the inhabitants of this region to the German Empire to be questionable at best, and we expect overwhelming popular support for any future annexation of the region by the Commonwealth.

Region B (alt. Region of Mixed Cultural Settlement)
Region B, between the modified Clausen Line and the Flensburg Line, is home to an estimated 80,000 inhabitants. Cultural and linguistic preferences of the inhabitants of the area are mixed, with the major towns and villages being mostly German while Danish speakers constitute probably a fairly slim majority in the countryside. Until quite recently, for reasons that are beyond the scope of this discussion, the region was firmly loyal to the German Empire despite the prevalence of Danish speakers in the area. Due to certain social and political changes that have occurred in the past twenty years which will be further discussed with Region C, however, we believe that popular preference has likely shifted in the last two decades and that the region today probably feels a strong affinity towards the Commonwealth.

Region C (alt. Region of German Cultural Settlement)
Region C, between the Flensburg Line and the Eider Line, is home to c. 200,000 inhabitants. Culturally and linguistically, the region is predominantly German. Nonetheless, despite this, after some deliberation the NSRS Army Home Command has decided to include this region in the area of operations for several reasons. First, while minority populations in this region are small, they do exist. There is a small Danish minority in Region C, estimated at c. 2,000 people, mostly industrial working class families in major towns. There is also a much more significant Frisian minority, estimated at c. 6,000 people, which although not culturally Scandinavian nor heavily associated with the Commonwealth, have often looked northwards in their political and national orientations. Second, because of the devastation of the Great War which have made significant numbers of people strongly averse towards the monarchist regime of the German Empire, because of the traditionally internationalist socialist leaning political preferences of the region's inhabitants, and because of the region's historical and geographical ties to Scandinavia as well as agitation by the small cultural minorities, we believe that a significant minority of the German-speaking population of this area will feel some affinity towards the NSRS and be receptive to protection by the Commonwealth, perhaps even independence from Germany later. Finally, the region is home to the Dannevirke system of fortifications which, while heavily outdated, will nonetheless be useful in improving the NSRS' ability to secure its southern border at a time when the German Empire is in chaos if we are able to get a garrison on this line.

I'm kind of surprised that the SPD doesn't mention our incursion into South Jutland at all in their last IC post. I mean, I'm not complaining if they want to offer no response, but... I did expect something, even if it's just a few politicians in Berlin discussing it.

Commentary on the above map and description welcome. :p I spend half the afternoon tracing a blurry screenshot of a map pixel-by-pixel to make the coastlines there...

IRL, in the 1920 plebiscites, Region A voted to return to Denmark while Region B voted to stay with Germany and Region C did not hold a referendum at all, the result being a foregone conclusion for the overwhelming German majority. But given that Germany just spent the last two decades tearing itself apart in the Great War and is about to take a few more months or possibly even years tearing itself apart even harder in Civil War, I think the NSRS in this timeline has a fairly good shot of also getting Region B returned to it, with Region C maybe breaking off into an independent buffer state. The Felan Federation, you're the only player in Germany, so let me know what you think about all that. Ehehehehe...

Armored Division
The division was organized into an armored regiment with two tank battalions and 2 regiments of infantry, each with 2 battalions, along with various supporting units (reconnaissance, engineer, signal, etc.) With a total of 163 tanks. In addition to its tanks, the division was armed with 77 guns (ranging from 75mm to 150mm); 70 mortars; 33 anti-tank guns; and 500 machine guns; and some 40 anti-aircraft guns. 40 of the 163 tanks are Type 001 medium tanks the rest are Type 002 light tanks.
Cavalry Division

It comprises three regiments each totaling 2,000 men. They are armed with light machine guns, da dao, and Hanyang 88 rifles.

Motorized Division

A motorized Division is extremely similar to a Reorganized Division except for the fact that they rely more heavily on fuel and use less horse-drawn equipment.

Infantry Division

Division headquarters troops:
2 Artillery company: (24 x 75-millimeter mountain artillery guns each in batteries of 4)
1 Anti-tank artillery company: ( 8 x 37mm AT gun)
1 Anti-aircraft gun company: (8 x 20mm anti-aircraft guns)
1 Military Engineer Battalion
1 Signal battalion
2 Wire communications companies
1 Wireless correspondence platoon
1 medical team (usually is a Division hospital)
2 Infantry Brigades of:

1 Mortar company (3 x 81-millimeter mortars)
1 Small artillery company (6 x 20-millimeter autocannon)
1 Communications company
1 Regimental recon company
3 infantry battalions each of:
Infantry battalion headquarters troops
3 Infantry companies of:
3 rifle platoons of
3 squads (each of 1 light machine gun, 9 rifles)
1 heavy Machinegun company (2 heavy machine guns, 10 x 82-millimeter mortars)

Important Details:
When I’m counting the total amount of soldiers, I’m also including the replacements since each division has roughly ½ of its total strength in reinforcement so in general, each army strength at any given time is roughly ⅔ of its shown number. If the OP wants me to change that then I will.

The navy also seems fairly large given that until quite recently the USSR controlled basically one good port city and that was it.

Can all of the US political parties agree that the Orwellian state of Arizona needs to go?

Most of the aircraft are made of wood, with metal being limited to the essential parts. This was also done IRL because of costs, production capabilites, and the fact that wood is pretty common in Russia. And if you look up most of the plane types, they are made either in part or practically in whole with wood save for the engine and a few other parts.

Also do note that many of the planes might not always be in service because of parts canibalization, or the fact that they are kept "in service" because it looks good on paper. Now this that being said, considering the USSR became Russia, and the huge iron reserves at Magnitogorsk along with a significant ammount of the Ural's industrial capacity just became Russia, many of the production issues can be alleviated. However the break away of Southern Russia has harmed oil supplies, and as such, that is also affecting the availability of aircraft, aircraft readiness, and most critically, it is cutting pilot flight hours short, leading to inexperienced pilots.

Remember, an OBART and the reality on the ground can be different, and it's still a highly tenative OBART, with tweaking likely to occur realtively soon.

Yeah, I sorta think they should just hold their Mexican states, since the US is one of the few nations not tore apart (Yet, maybe) and the Mexican Communist should hold most of Mexico and maybe some Central American Countries, but I think Columbia, Venezuela, and all of central America is a bit too much.

Well that's not entirely true, for one thing Alaska has no authority, Utah attempted to secede until MacArthur stepped in, Los Alamos is being run by mad scientists, and Arizona actually did secede and seized control of parts of Mexico while they were at it.
