Not yet no - its a percent chance per year to expand/shrink, depending on your tech, seasonal variation, and if you tend it/overharvest it.

Not particularly no. The same as any other non-Arcana tech. On average, any given tech has about a 25% chance to succeed in a given year, depending on how the world is shaped in that year.

I dunno about y'all, but I'm down to keep going for a few more generations. I think that things are just starting to get interesting as the map's starting to connect and people meet up.

We still need half of everyone to achieve bronze or iron-working

I finally have sailing tech, one milestone achieved. Now I need to make Teslanite and I can say I'm ready for the bronze age.
