Actually, it is. It's a fascinating study.
Granted, an impact large enough to actually spin the Earth in the opposite direction probably would have caused a significant portion of the planet to turn into molten rock from the heat of the impact dissipating, and boiled a large portion of our seas. Lucky, in this circumstance, we have !magic! to blame.

That's what I meant - sure it's POSSIBLE, but the force necessary and the outcome we have are rather unaligned
