Did you claim it?

No… I’m just wondering

Nah it can't die, if only because the concept is basically immortal, Cold War RPs are one a plenty.

Maybe it should have been a continuation.

It would be better to keep it as it is. People have already made a number of posts and have storyline ideas in mind. Just my two cents. :)

Nice. Time to get Libya back! I frankly could care less about Italy now. They can be a unified NPC.

1) Can someone give me a link to (an updated if possible) map of the current RP? So I can know which lands are claimed.

2) I suppose I will need to make a new app? Also, is India claimed by anyone? If not, I would like to claim it.

[If India is claimed, then I would like to reserve China (PRC + Taiwan). I am thinking of either Nationalist China winning the civil war or a Qing restoration]

3) Will there be a new IC thread?

In the continuation, I believe India was taken by exalten inquellian state. It is unclear currently if they will be coming back, so I suggest go with China.

Country Name: Empire of China
Fictional or Real: Fictional
Head of State: Xuantong Emperor
Government Type: Constitutional Monarchy
Capital: Beijing
GDP: 30.55 billion USD
Population: 554,960,000
Location: RL PRC and ROC (Taiwan)
History:

The Qing Empire had been weakened by humiliations at the hands of foreign powers and costly internal revolts. In 1911, the Qing Empire came to an end. The new Republic was unable to maintain order and China succumbed to warlordism. Seeing to gain power, the warlord lording over Manchuria installed in 1927 the last Qing Emperor (Puyi) as Emperor in his territory. With the legitimacy of the Qing dynasty behind him, the warlord launched a campaign in the South to reclaim China for the Qing. As Beijing and much of the north was overtaken by the new Qing state, the Republican government retreated south. At the same time, communist guerrillas established strongholds across the country.

The Japanese takeover of Manchuria and the subsequent invasion of the rest of China caused a near collapse of the Qing regime. Puyi managed to gain independence from his protector warlord, who was assassinated, and made a temporary alliance with the Nationalists and the Communists against the common Japanese foe. At the end of WWII, the Qing and the Nationalists had been exhausted, having taken the brunt of the Japanese invasion, while the Communists were growing in power.

With the danger of a communist takeover looming over China, the Nationalists came into an agreement with the rump Qing regime; the Treaty of Beijing (1947) acknowledged Puyi as 'Xuantong Emperor' of China but the powers of the monarchy were severely restrained; the new Qing Empire was to be a constitutional monarchy with Chiang Kai-Shek as Prime Minister. The unified Qing-Nationalist forces cleansed China from the communists, with Mao Zedong being killed in action.

Now, the Qing Empire is in a difficult position. It needs to rebuilt itself from the multiple wars it suffered.

Capitalist isn't a faction. Just an economic system. But other than that, it's good.

Well presumably we can just keep playing our nations. Now as to how to write to explain the goings on of a nation in a year and half's time, that's another matter entirely.

Yes, sure, but change the SSR part. That means it’s Soviet when it’s not.

Yes, sure, but change the SSR part. That means it’s Soviet when it’s not.

Soviet refers to a Workers Soviet, its basically the same as saying People's Socialist Republic.

lol yah no worries, its use as a demonym for residents and things originating from the USSR comes from the unofficial shortened name for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the Soviet Union. You can't really call someone a unionist, because it already denotes that youre a member of some union, so the word soviet came to be the preferred words. The Soviets referred to themselves as the Soviet People, and a single person was a Soviet Citizen, denoting that the person belonged to a Soviet. But nevertheless, I understand the confusion, if it is to confusing I can always change it to DSR (Democratic Socialist Republic).
