But when I walk up to the group and randomly introduce myself, I'm accused of being a monster or a murderer.

The doctor revealed the cause of death was a stroke while he was asleep and there was no way to safe him, Robin fell into a deep depression for some time. During the reading of Lord blackwood’s will, Robin met Sonia Blackwood, Lord blackwood’s younger sister who was an actress and has been supporting the aging lord financially. Sonia was to receive the lord’s estates outside of london while, to Robin’s shock, she was the one to receive his main estate in London and also a small black chest as a parting way. Then a month later, his mother followed due to natural causes, at the ripe age of 74 just ten years younger than lord blackwood. In a search for some closure for her griefs, Robin descides to open the small chest. The chest contains a dusty letter, and another note written by the Lord personally. The letter read
My dearestDaisyRobin
If you are reading this note then that means that i have perished, but please do not weep for me. I have known that i have do not much time left and i myself has lived a vivid and colourful life that any man dared to dream of, Todaisy, my beloved daughterRobin, my faithful maid who had supported, taken care, and given my life a meaning i give you the opportunity to live a life as exciting and as colourful as mine. In this other letter lies a very important later to which i need to deliver to the Four horse club, i have once tasked to find a new recruit that would help to the grand cause of the order of st thomas,I hope that as my daughter you shall make me proud, i’m sorry i couldn’t give this personally to youAfter my daughter’s departure i’ve seen the same spark i saw inside of daisy inside of you robin, i’m sure you shall be fit to work as a monster hunter. Many of my old associates would of course teach you the ways, but i’m just disappointed i could may never truly train you to fight Them. Arg sorry again for the slow response! You are, if you edit those bits I mentioned. If you want to bring your character in, feel free to assume they've been with the group the whole time.
I also realise I need to update the character roster!

So is this statement not canon?

My research said that Hiram Maxim made the first commercially available one in 1902, patented in 1909, and hit the markets in 1912.
While all of that is true, it's important to note that Maxim's suppressor was designed for rifles, not pistols. They would also have likely been large, heavy, and prohibitively expensive and fragile for use in covert operations even on a rifle. As a side note, while Maxim's suppressors we're on the market, they were hardly a commercial success for the company.

The maxim silencer was officially used by the US government for rifles, however it can be fitted to a pistol seeing as how the diameter of a weapons barrel is determined by calibre, regardless of whether its a rifle or pistol. The cost was about 120-165 USD, and they worked fine and only began to experience difficulties if put under rapid fire circumstances

That may also be true, though it's important to note that there's often slight variations in the actual diameter of the various calibers that are nominally the same diameter, such as the wide assortment of .32 and .38 caliber rounds of the period. For an example applicable for the modern day, 9x18 Makarov is actually a quarter of a millimetre larger in diameter than 9x19 Parabellum because of differences in how the Soviets measured caliber.
That's not mentioning the differing pressure curves between all of those cartridges. Another modern example using the same cartridges, 9mm Para puts out a much higher pressure than 9mm Makarov. This is why pistols in 9mm Makarov can be straight-blowback pistols while pistols in 9mm Para need a locked breech and use some kind of recoil operation system to more safely and pleasantly cycle the gun and keep weight down.
There's also balance concerns when you throw a suppressor made for a rifle on a pistol with a barrel that is probably much shorter than suppressor. But at the end of the day, you were kindly asked to do something by DB in order to remove an anachronistic technological element from the RP. Any "debate" on our side is purely of good faith, but I'll leave the call up to him.
